ഇയ്യോബ് 14
"Man, who is born of a woman, is of few days, and full of trouble.
He comes forth like a flower, and is cut down. He also flees like a shadow, and doesn't continue.
Do you open your eyes on such a one, and bring me into judgment with you?
Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? Not one.
5 ൫ അങ്ങയുടെ ജീവകാലത്തിന് അവധി ഉണ്ടല്ലോ; അവന്റെ മാസങ്ങളുടെ എണ്ണം അങ്ങയുടെ പക്കൽ; അവന് ലംഘിച്ചുകൂടാത്ത അതിര് അവിടുന്ന് വച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു
Seeing his days are determined, the number of his months is with you, and you have appointed his bounds that he can't pass;
6 ൬ അവൻ ഒരു കൂലിക്കാരനെപ്പോലെ വിശ്രമിച്ച് തന്റെ ദിവസത്തിൽ തൃപ്തിപ്പെടേണ്ടതിന് അങ്ങയുടെ നോട്ടം അവനിൽനിന്ന് മാറ്റിക്കൊള്ളണമേ.
Look away from him, that he may rest, until he shall accomplish, as a hireling, his day.
7 ൭ ഒരു വൃക്ഷമായിരുന്നാൽ പ്രത്യാശയുണ്ട്; അതിനെ വെട്ടിയാൽ പിന്നെയും പൊട്ടിക്കിളിർക്കും; അതിന് ഇളങ്കൊമ്പുകൾ വിടർന്നുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കും.
"For there is hope for a tree, If it is cut down, that it will sprout again, that the tender branch of it will not cease.
Though its root grows old in the earth, and its stock dies in the ground,
yet through the scent of water it will bud, and put forth boughs like a plant.
But man dies, and is laid low. Yes, man gives up the spirit, and where is he?
As the waters fail from the sea, and the river wastes and dries up,
12 ൧൨ മനുഷ്യൻ കിടന്നിട്ട് എഴുന്നേല്ക്കുന്നില്ല; ആകാശം ഇല്ലാതെയാകുംവരെ അവർ ഉണരുന്നില്ല; ഉറക്കത്തിൽനിന്ന് എഴുന്നേല്ക്കുന്നതുമില്ല;
so man lies down and doesn't rise. Until the heavens are no more, they shall not awake, nor be roused out of their sleep.
13 ൧൩ അങ്ങ് എന്നെ പാതാളത്തിൽ മറച്ചുവയ്ക്കുകയും അവിടുത്തെ കോപം കഴിയുവോളം എന്നെ ഒളിപ്പിക്കുകയും എനിക്ക് ഒരവധി നിശ്ചയിച്ച് എന്നെ ഓർക്കുകയും ചെയ്തുവെങ്കിൽ കൊള്ളാമായിരുന്നു. (Sheol h7585)
"Oh that you would hide me in Sheol, that you would keep me secret, until your wrath is past, that you would appoint me a set time, and remember me. (Sheol h7585)
14 ൧൪ മനുഷ്യൻ മരിച്ചാൽ വീണ്ടും ജീവിക്കുമോ? എന്നാൽ എനിക്ക് മാറ്റം വരുവോളം എന്റെ യുദ്ധകാലമെല്ലാം കാത്തിരിക്കാമായിരുന്നു.
If a man dies, shall he live again? All the days of my warfare would I wait, until my release should come.
15 ൧൫ അങ്ങ് വിളിക്കും; ഞാൻ അവിടുത്തോട് ഉത്തരം പറയും; അങ്ങയുടെ കൈവേലയോട് അങ്ങയ്ക്ക് താത്പര്യമുണ്ടാകും.
You would call, and I would answer you. You would have a desire to the work of your hands.
But now you number my steps. Do you not watch over my sin?
My disobedience is sealed up in a bag. You fasten up my iniquity.
"But the mountain falling comes to nothing. The rock is removed out of its place;
19 ൧൯ വെള്ളം കല്ലുകളെ തേയുമാറാക്കുന്നതും അതിന്റെ പ്രവാഹം നിലത്തെ പൊടി ഒഴുക്കിക്കളയുന്നതു പോലെ അങ്ങ് മനുഷ്യന്റെ പ്രത്യാശയെ നശിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.
The waters wear the stones. The torrents of it wash away the dust of the earth. So you destroy the hope of man.
20 ൨൦ അങ്ങ് എപ്പോഴും അവനെ ആക്രമിച്ചിട്ട് അവൻ കടന്നുപോകുന്നു; അവിടുന്ന് അവന്റെ മുഖം വിരൂപമാക്കി അവനെ അയച്ചുകളയുന്നു.
You forever prevail against him, and he departs. You change his face, and send him away.
21 ൨൧ അവന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർക്ക് ബഹുമാനം ലഭിക്കുന്നത് അവൻ അറിയുന്നില്ല; അവർക്ക് താഴ്ച ഭവിക്കുന്നത് അവൻ ഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല.
His sons come to honor, and he doesn't know it. They are brought low, but he doesn't perceive it of them.
22 ൨൨ തന്നെപ്പറ്റി മാത്രം അവന്റെ ദേഹം വേദനപ്പെടുന്നു; തന്നെക്കുറിച്ചത്രേ അവന്റെ ഉള്ളം ദുഃഖിക്കുന്നു”.
But his flesh on him has pain, and his soul within him mourns."
