യെശയ്യാവ് 57
1 ൧ നീതിമാൻ നശിക്കുന്നു; ആരും അത് കാര്യമാക്കുന്നില്ല; ഭക്തന്മാരും കഴിഞ്ഞുപോകുന്നു; നീതിമാൻ അനർത്ഥത്തിനു മുമ്പ് കഴിഞ്ഞുപോകുന്നു എന്ന് ആരും ഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നില്ല.
The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth [it] to heart: and merciful men [are] taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil [to come].
2 ൨ അവൻ സമാധാനത്തിലേക്കു പ്രവേശിക്കുന്നു; നേരായി നടക്കുന്നവരെല്ലാം അവനവന്റെ കിടക്കയിൽ വിശ്രാമം പ്രാപിക്കുന്നു.
He shall enter into peace: they shall rest in their beds, [each one] walking [in] his uprightness.
But draw near hither, ye sons of the sorceress, the seed of the adulterer and the whore.
4 ൪ നിങ്ങൾ ആരെയാകുന്നു കളിയാക്കുന്നത്? ആരുടെനേരെയാകുന്നു നിങ്ങൾ വായ് പിളർന്നു നാക്കു നീട്ടുന്നത്? നിങ്ങൾ അതിക്രമക്കാരും വ്യാജസന്തതിയും അല്ലയോ?
Against whom do ye sport yourselves? against whom make ye a wide mouth, [and] draw out the tongue? [are] ye not children of transgression, a seed of falsehood,
5 ൫ നിങ്ങൾ കരുവേലകങ്ങൾക്കരികത്തും ഓരോ പച്ചമരത്തിൻകീഴിലും വികാരാവേശത്താൽ ജ്വലിച്ചു, പാറപ്പിളർപ്പുകൾക്കു താഴെ തോട്ടുവക്കത്തുവച്ചു കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളെ അറുക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.
Enflaming yourselves with idols under every green tree, slaying the children in the valleys under the clifts of the rocks?
6 ൬ തോട്ടിലെ മിനുസമുള്ള കല്ല് നിന്റെ പങ്ക്; അതുതന്നെ നിന്റെ ഓഹരി; അതിനല്ലയോ നീ പാനീയബലി പകർന്നു ഭോജനബലി അർപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്? ഈ വക കണ്ടിട്ട് ഞാൻ ക്ഷമിച്ചിരിക്കുമോ?
Among the smooth [stones] of the stream [is] thy portion; they, they [are] thy lot: even to them hast thou poured a drink offering, thou hast offered a meat offering. Should I receive comfort in these?
7 ൭ പൊക്കവും ഉയരവും ഉള്ള മലയിൽ നീ നിന്റെ കിടക്ക വിരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവിടേക്കു തന്നെ നീ ബലികഴിക്കുവാൻ കയറിച്ചെന്നു.
Upon a lofty and high mountain hast thou set thy bed: even thither wentest thou up to offer sacrifice.
8 ൮ കതകിനും കട്ടിളയ്ക്കും പുറകിൽ നീ നിന്റെ അടയാളം വച്ചു, നീ എന്നെവിട്ടു ചെന്നു മറ്റുള്ളവർക്ക് നിന്നെത്തന്നെ നഗ്നയാക്കി കയറി നിന്റെ കിടക്ക വിസ്താരമാക്കി അവരുമായി ഉടമ്പടിചെയ്തു അവരുടെ കിടക്ക കൊതിച്ചു ആംഗ്യം നോക്കിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.
Behind the doors also and the posts hast thou set up thy remembrance: for thou hast discovered [thyself to another] than me, and art gone up; thou hast enlarged thy bed, and made thee [a covenant] with them; thou lovedst their bed where thou sawest [it].
9 ൯ നീ തൈലവുംകൊണ്ടു മോലേക്ക് എന്ന് പേരുള്ള വിഗ്രഹത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു, നിന്റെ പരിമളവർഗ്ഗം ധാരാളം ചെലവ് ചെയ്തു, നിന്റെ ദൂതന്മാരെ ദൂരത്തയച്ചു പാതാളത്തോളം ഇറങ്ങിച്ചെന്നു. (Sheol h7585)
And thou wentest to the king with ointment, and didst increase thy perfumes, and didst send thy messengers far off, and didst debase [thyself even] unto hell. (Sheol h7585)
10 ൧൦ വഴിയുടെ ദൂരംകൊണ്ടു നീ തളർന്നുപോയിട്ടും ‘അത് നിഷ്ഫലം’ എന്നു നീ പറഞ്ഞില്ല; നിന്റെ കൈവശം നീ ജീവശക്തി കണ്ടതുകൊണ്ട് നിനക്ക് ക്ഷീണം തോന്നിയില്ല.
Thou art wearied in the greatness of thy way; [yet] saidst thou not, There is no hope: thou hast found the life of thine hand; therefore thou wast not grieved.
11 ൧൧ കപടം കാണിക്കുവാനും എന്നെ ഓർക്കുകയോ കൂട്ടാക്കുകയോ ചെയ്യാതിരിക്കുവാനും നീ ആരെയാകുന്നു ശങ്കിച്ചു ഭയപ്പെട്ടത്? ഞാൻ ബഹുകാലം മിണ്ടാതെ ഇരുന്നിട്ടല്ലയോ നീ എന്നെ ഭയപ്പെടാതിരിക്കുന്നത്?
And of whom hast thou been afraid or feared, that thou hast lied, and hast not remembered me, nor laid [it] to thy heart? have not I held my peace even of old, and thou fearest me not?
I will declare thy righteousness, and thy works; for they shall not profit thee.
13 ൧൩ നീ നിലവിളിക്കുമ്പോൾ നിന്റെ വിഗ്രഹസമൂഹം നിന്നെ രക്ഷിക്കട്ടെ; എന്നാൽ അവയെ മുഴുവനും കാറ്റു പാറ്റിക്കൊണ്ടുപോകും; ഒരു ശ്വാസം അവയെ നീക്കിക്കളയും; എങ്കിലും എന്നെ ആശ്രയിക്കുന്നവൻ ദേശത്തെ അവകാശമാക്കി എന്റെ വിശുദ്ധപർവ്വതത്തെ കൈവശമാക്കും”.
When thou criest, let thy companies deliver thee; but the wind shall carry them all away; vanity shall take [them: ] but he that putteth his trust in me shall possess the land, and shall inherit my holy mountain;
14 ൧൪ “നികത്തുവിൻ, നികത്തുവിൻ, വഴി ഒരുക്കുവിൻ; എന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ വഴിയിൽനിന്ന് ഇടർച്ച നീക്കിക്കളയുവിൻ” എന്ന് അവിടുന്ന് അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.
And shall say, Cast ye up, cast ye up, prepare the way, take up the stumblingblock out of the way of my people.
15 ൧൫ ഉന്നതനും ഉയർന്നിരിക്കുന്നവനും ശാശ്വതവാസിയും പരിശുദ്ധൻ എന്നു നാമമുള്ളവനുമായവൻ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: “ഞാൻ ഉന്നതനും പരിശുദ്ധനുമായി വസിക്കുന്നു; താഴ്മയുള്ളവരുടെ മനസ്സിനും മനസ്താപമുള്ളവരുടെ ഹൃദയത്തിനും ചൈതന്യം വരുത്തുവാൻ മനസ്താപവും മനോവിനയവുമുള്ളവരോടു കൂടിയും വസിക്കുന്നു.
For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name [is] Holy; I dwell in the high and holy [place], with him also [that is] of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.
16 ൧൬ ഞാൻ എന്നേക്കും വാദിക്കുകയില്ല; എല്ലായ്പോഴും കോപിക്കുകയുമില്ല; അല്ലെങ്കിൽ അവരുടെ ആത്മാവും ഞാൻ സൃഷ്ടിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള ദേഹികളും എന്റെ മുമ്പിൽനിന്നു ക്ഷയിച്ചുപോകുമല്ലോ.
For I will not contend for ever, neither will I be always wroth: for the spirit should fail before me, and the souls [which] I have made.
17 ൧൭ അവരുടെ അത്യാഗ്രഹത്തിന്റെ അകൃത്യം നിമിത്തം ഞാൻ കോപിച്ച് അവരെ അടിച്ചു; ഞാൻ കോപിച്ചു മുഖം മറച്ചു; എന്നാൽ അവർ തിരിഞ്ഞ് അവർക്ക് തോന്നിയ വഴിയിൽ നടന്നു.
For the iniquity of his covetousness was I wroth, and smote him: I hid me, and was wroth, and he went on frowardly in the way of his heart.
18 ൧൮ ഞാൻ അവരുടെ വഴികളെ കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ അവരെ സൗഖ്യമാക്കും; ഞാൻ അവരെ നടത്തി അവർക്ക്, അവരുടെ ദുഃഖിതന്മാർക്കു തന്നെ, വീണ്ടും ആശ്വാസം വരുത്തും.
I have seen his ways, and will heal him: I will lead him also, and restore comforts unto him and to his mourners.
19 ൧൯ ഞാൻ അധരങ്ങളുടെ ഫലം സൃഷ്ടിക്കും; ദൂരസ്ഥനും സമീപസ്ഥനും സമാധാനം, സമാധാനം” എന്നും “ഞാൻ അവരെ സൗഖ്യമാക്കും” എന്നും യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.
I create the fruit of the lips; Peace, peace to [him that is] far off, and to [him that is] near, saith the LORD; and I will heal him.
20 ൨൦ ദുഷ്ടന്മാരോ, കലങ്ങിമറിയുന്ന കടൽപോലെയാകുന്നു; അതിന് അടങ്ങിയിരിക്കുവാൻ കഴിയുകയില്ല; അതിലെ വെള്ളം ചേറും ചെളിയും മേലോട്ടു തള്ളുന്നു.
But the wicked [are] like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt.
[There is] no peace, saith my God, to the wicked.
