2 ശമൂവേൽ 22

1 ൧ യഹോവ ദാവീദിനെ സകലശത്രുക്കളുടെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നും ശൌലിന്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നും വിടുവിച്ച ദിവസം അവൻ യഹോവയ്ക്ക് ചൊല്ലിയ കീർത്തനം:

And David spoke to the Lord the words of this canticle, in the day that the Lord delivered him out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul,

2 ൨ “യഹോവ എന്റെ പാറയും എന്റെ കോട്ടയും എന്റെ രക്ഷകനും ആകുന്നു.

And he said: The Lord is my rock, and my strength, and my saviour.

3 ൩ എന്റെ ബലമായ ദൈവം; അങ്ങയിൽ ഞാൻ ആശ്രയിക്കും; എന്റെ പരിചയും എന്റെ രക്ഷയായ കൊമ്പും എന്റെ അഭയസ്ഥാനവും എന്റെ കോട്ടയും തന്നെ. എന്റെ രക്ഷിതാവേ, അങ്ങ് എന്നെ അക്രമത്തിൽനിന്ന് രക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.

God is my strong one, in him will I trust: my shield, and the horn of my salvation: he lifteth me up, and is my refuge: my saviour, thou wilt deliver me from iniquity.

4 ൪ സ്തുതിക്കപ്പെടുവാൻ യോഗ്യനായ യഹോവയെ ഞാൻ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്കും; എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളിൽനിന്ന് അവിടുന്ന് എന്നെ രക്ഷിക്കും.

I will call on the Lord who is worthy to be praised: and I shall be saved from my enemies.

5 ൫ മരണത്തിന്റെ തിരമാല എന്നെ വളഞ്ഞു; ദുഷ്ടതയുടെ കുത്തൊഴുക്കുകൾ എന്നെ ഭയപ്പെടുത്തി;

For the pangs of death have surrounded me: the floods of Belial have made me afraid.

6 ൬ പാതാളപാശങ്ങൾ എന്നെ ചുറ്റി; മരണത്തിന്റെ കെണികൾ എന്റെ മേൽ വീണു. (Sheol h7585)

The cords of hell compassed me: the snares of death prevented me. (Sheol h7585)

7 ൭ എന്റെ കഷ്ടതയിൽ ഞാൻ യഹോവയെ വിളിച്ചു, എന്റെ ദൈവത്തോടുതന്നെ നിലവിളിച്ചു, അവിടുന്ന് അവിടുത്തെ ആലയത്തിൽനിന്ന് എന്റെ അപേക്ഷ കേട്ടു; എന്റെ നിലവിളി അവിടുത്തെ ചെവികളിൽ എത്തി.

In my distress I will call upon the Lord, and I will cry to my God: and he will hear my voice out of his temple, and my cry shall come to his ears.

8 ൮ അവിടുന്ന് കോപിക്കയാൽ ഭൂമി ഞെട്ടിവിറച്ചു, ആകാശത്തിന്റെ അടിസ്ഥാനങ്ങൾ ഇളകി, അവ കുലുങ്ങിപ്പോയി.

The earth shook and trembled, the foundations of the mountains were moved, and shaken, because he was angry with them.

9 ൯ അവിടുത്തെ മൂക്കിൽനിന്നു പുകപൊങ്ങി, അവിടുത്തെ വായിൽനിന്നു ദഹിപ്പിക്കുന്ന തീ പുറപ്പെട്ടു, തീക്കനൽ അവനിൽനിന്ന് ജ്വലിച്ചു.

A smoke went up from his nostrils, and a devouring fire out of his mouth: coals were kindled by it.

10 ൧൦ അവിടുന്ന് ആകാശം ചായിച്ചിറങ്ങി; കൂരിരുൾ അവിടുത്തെ കാല്ക്കീഴുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

He bowed the heavens, and came down: and darkness was under his feet.

11 ൧൧ അവിടുന്ന് ഒരു കെരൂബിന്മേലേറി പറന്നു, കാറ്റിൻ ചിറകിന്മേൽ അവിടുന്ന് പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി.

And he rode upon the cherubims, and flew: and slid upon the wings of the wind.

12 ൧൨ അവിടുന്ന് അന്ധകാരത്തെ ചുറ്റും മറയാക്കി; ആകാശത്തിലെ ഇരുണ്ട വെള്ളങ്ങളും കനത്ത മേഘങ്ങളും കൂടെ.

He made darkness a covering round about him: dropping waters out of the clouds of the heavens.

13 ൧൩ അവിടുത്തെ മുമ്പിലുള്ള പ്രകാശത്താൽ തീക്കനൽ ജ്വലിച്ചു.

By the brightness before him, the coals of fire were kindled.

14 ൧൪ യഹോവ ആകാശത്തിൽ ഇടി മുഴക്കി, അത്യുന്നതൻ അവിടുത്തെ ശബ്ദം കേൾപ്പിച്ചു.

The Lord shall thunder from heaven: and the most high shall give forth his voice.

15 ൧൫ അവിടുന്ന് അമ്പ് എയ്ത് അവരെ ചിതറിച്ചു, മിന്നൽ അയച്ച് അവരെ തോല്പിച്ചു.

He shot arrows and scattered them: lightning, and consumed them.

16 ൧൬ യഹോവയുടെ ശാസനയാൽ, തിരുമൂക്കിലെ ശ്വാസത്തിന്റെ ഊത്തിനാൽ കടലിന്റെ ചാലുകൾ കാണപ്പെട്ടു ഭൂതലത്തിന്റെ അടിസ്ഥാനങ്ങൾ വെളിപ്പെട്ടു.

And the overflowings of the sea appeared, and the foundations of the world were laid open at the rebuke of the Lord, at the blast of the spirit of his wrath.

17 ൧൭ അവിടുന്ന് ഉയരത്തിൽനിന്ന് കൈ നീട്ടി എന്നെ പിടിച്ചു, പെരുവെള്ളത്തിൽനിന്ന് എന്നെ വലിച്ചെടുത്തു.

He sent from on high, and took me, and drew me out of many waters.

18 ൧൮ അവിടുന്ന് എന്റെ ബലമുള്ള ശത്രുവിൽനിന്നും എന്നെ പകച്ചവരിൽനിന്നും എന്നെ വിടുവിച്ചു; അവർ എന്നിലും ബലമേറിയവർ ആയിരുന്നു.

He delivered me from my most mighty enemy, and from them that hated me: for they were too strong for me.

19 ൧൯ എന്റെ അനർത്ഥദിവസത്തിൽ അവർ എന്നെ ആക്രമിച്ചു; എന്നാൽ യഹോവ എനിക്ക് തുണയായിരുന്നു.

He prevented me in the day of my affliction, and the Lord became my stay.

20 ൨൦ അവിടുന്ന് എന്നെ അപകടത്തില്‍ നിന്ന് വിടുവിച്ചു, എന്നിൽ പ്രസാദിച്ചിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ട് എന്നെ വിടുവിച്ചു.

And he brought me forth into a large place, he delivered me, because I pleased him.

21 ൨൧ യഹോവ എന്റെ നീതിക്കു തക്കവണ്ണം എനിക്ക് പ്രതിഫലം നല്കി, എന്റെ കൈകളുടെ വെടിപ്പിനൊത്തവണ്ണം എനിക്ക് പകരം തന്നു.

The Lord will reward me according to my justice: and according to the cleanness of my hands he will render to me.

22 ൨൨ ഞാൻ യഹോവയുടെ വഴികളെ പ്രമാണിച്ചു, എന്റെ ദൈവത്തോട് ദ്രോഹം ചെയ്തതുമില്ല.

Because I have kept the ways of the Lord, and have not wickedly departed from my God.

23 ൨൩ അവിടുത്തെ വിധികൾ ഒക്കെയും എന്റെ മുമ്പിലുണ്ട്; അവിടുത്തെ ചട്ടങ്ങളിൽനിന്ന് ഞാൻ വിട്ടുനടന്നിട്ടുമില്ല.

For all his judgments are in my sight: and his precepts I have not removed from me.

24 ൨൪ ഞാൻ അങ്ങയുടെ മുമ്പാകെ നിഷ്കളങ്കനായിരുന്നു, അകൃത്യം ചെയ്യാതെ ഞാൻ എന്നെ തന്നെ കാത്തു.

And I shall be perfect with him: and shall keep myself from my iniquity.

25 ൨൫ യഹോവ എന്റെ നീതിക്കു തക്കവണ്ണവും അങ്ങയുടെ കാഴ്ചയിൽ എന്റെ നിർമ്മലതക്കൊത്തവണ്ണവും എനിക്ക് പകരം നല്കി.

And the Lord will recompense me according to my justice: and according to the cleanness of my hands in the sight of his eyes.

26 ൨൬ ദയാലുവോട് അങ്ങ് ദയാലുവാകുന്നു; നിഷ്കളങ്കനോട് അങ്ങ് നിഷ്കളങ്കൻ.

With the holy one thou wilt be holy: and with the valiant perfect.

27 ൨൭ നിർമ്മലനോട് അങ്ങ് നിർമ്മലനാകുന്നു; വക്രനോട് അങ്ങ് വക്രത കാണിക്കുന്നു.

With the elect thou wilt be elect: and with the perverse thou wilt be perverted.

28 ൨൮ താഴ്മയുള്ള ജനത്തെ അങ്ങ് രക്ഷിക്കും; നിഗളിച്ചു നടക്കുന്നവരെ താഴ്ത്തേണ്ടതിന് അങ്ങ് അവരുടെ മേൽ ദൃഷ്ടിവക്കുന്നു.

And the poor people thou wilt save: and with thy eyes thou wilt humble the haughty.

29 ൨൯ യഹോവേ, അങ്ങ് എന്റെ ദീപം ആകുന്നു; യഹോവ എന്റെ അന്ധകാരത്തെ പ്രകാശമാക്കും.

For thou art my lamp, O Lord: and thou, O Lord, wilt enlighten my darkness.

30 ൩൦ അങ്ങയുടെ ശക്തിയാൽ ഞാൻ പടക്കൂട്ടത്തിന്റെ നേരെ പാഞ്ഞുചെല്ലും; എന്റെ ദൈവത്താൽ ഞാൻ മതിൽ ചാടിക്കടക്കും.

For in thee I will run girded: in my God I will leap over the wall.

31 ൩൧ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വഴി പൂർണ്ണതയുള്ളത്, യഹോവയുടെ വചനം ഊതിക്കഴിച്ചത്; അവിടുത്തെ ശരണമാക്കുന്ന ഏവർക്കും അവിടുന്ന് പരിച ആകുന്നു.

God, his way is immaculate, the word of the Lord is tried by fire: he is the shield of all that trust in him.

32 ൩൨ യഹോവയല്ലാതെ ദൈവം ആരുള്ളു? നമ്മുടെ ദൈവം ഒഴികെ പാറ ആരുള്ളു?

Who is God but the Lord: and who is strong but our God?

33 ൩൩ ദൈവം എന്റെ ബലവും ശക്തിയും ആകുന്നു, അവിടുന്ന് എന്റെ വഴി കുറ്റമറ്റതാക്കുന്നു.

God who hath girded me with strength, and made my way perfect.

34 ൩൪ അവിടുന്ന് എന്റെ കാലുകളെ മാൻപേടക്കാലുകൾക്ക് തുല്യമാക്കി ഉയരങ്ങളിൽ എന്നെ നില്‍ക്കുമാറാക്കുന്നു.

Making my feet like the feet of harts, and setting me upon my high places.

35 ൩൫ അവിടുന്ന് എന്റെ കൈകൾക്ക് യുദ്ധ പരിശീലനം നൽകുന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ട് എന്റെ കൈകൾക്ക് താമ്രംകൊണ്ടുള്ള വില്ല് കുലക്കാം.

He teacheth my bands to war: and maketh my arms like a bow of brass.

36 ൩൬ അങ്ങയുടെ രക്ഷ എന്ന പരിചയും അങ്ങ് എനിക്ക് തന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; അങ്ങയുടെ സൗമ്യത എന്നെ വലിയവനാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

Thou hast given me the shield of my salvation: and thy mildness hath multiplied me.

37 ൩൭ ഞാൻ കാലടിവെക്കേണ്ടതിനു അങ്ങ് വിശാലത വരുത്തി; എന്റെ പാദങ്ങൾ വഴുതിപ്പോയതുമില്ല.

Thou shalt enlarge my steps under me: and my ankles shall not fail.

38 ൩൮ ഞാൻ എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളെ പിന്തുടർന്ന് നശിപ്പിച്ചു അവർ നശിക്കുവോളം ഞാൻ പിന്തിരിഞ്ഞില്ല.

I will pursue after my enemies, and crush them: and will not return again till I consume them.

39 ൩൯ അവർ എഴുന്നേല്ക്കാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന് ഞാൻ അവരെ നശിപ്പിക്കുകയും മുറിപ്പെടുത്തുകയും ചെയ്തു, അവർ എന്റെ കാല്ക്കീഴിൽ വീണിരിക്കുന്നു.

I will consume them and break them in pieces, so that they shall not rise: they shall fall under my feet.

40 ൪൦ യുദ്ധത്തിനായി അങ്ങ് എന്റെ അരയ്ക്ക് ശക്തി കെട്ടിയിരിക്കുന്നു; എനിക്കെതിരെ എഴുന്നേറ്റവരെ അങ്ങ് എനിക്ക് കീഴടക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

Thou hast girded me with strength to battle: thou hast made them that resisted me to bow under me.

41 ൪൧ എന്നെ വെറുക്കുന്നവരെ ഞാൻ നശിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന് അങ്ങ് എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളുടെ കഴുത്തും എനിക്ക് തന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

My enemies thou hast made to turn their back to me: them that hated me, and I shall destroy them.

42 ൪൨ അവർ ചുറ്റും നോക്കിയെങ്കിലും രക്ഷിക്കുവാൻ ആരും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല; യഹോവയിങ്കലേക്കു നോക്കി, അവിടുന്ന് അവർക്ക് ഉത്തരം അരുളിയതുമില്ല.

They shall cry, and there shall be none to save: to the Lord, and he shall not hear them.

43 ൪൩ ഞാൻ അവരെ നിലത്തിലെ പൊടിപോലെ പൊടിച്ചു, വീഥികളിലെ ചെളിയെപോലെ ഞാൻ അവരെ ചവിട്ടി ചിതറിച്ചു.

I shall beat them as small as the dust of the earth: I shall crush them and spread them abroad like the mire of the streets.

44 ൪൪ എന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ കലഹങ്ങളിൽനിന്നും അങ്ങ് എന്നെ വിടുവിച്ചു, ജനതകൾക്ക് എന്നെ തലവനാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ അറിയാത്ത ജനം എന്നെ സേവിക്കും.

Thou wilt save me from the contradictions of my people: thou wilt keep me to be the head of the Gentiles: the people which I know not, shall serve me,

45 ൪൫ അന്യജാതിക്കാർ എനിക്ക് കീഴ്പെടും; കേട്ട ഉടൻ തന്നെ അവർ എന്നെ അനുസരിക്കും.

The sons of the stranger will resist me, at the hearing of the ear they will obey me.

46 ൪൬ അന്യജാതിക്കാർ ക്ഷയിച്ചുപോകുന്നു; തങ്ങളുടെ ദുർഗ്ഗങ്ങളിൽനിന്ന് അവർ വിറച്ചുംകൊണ്ട് വരുന്നു.

The strangers are melted away, and shall be straitened in their distresses.

47 ൪൭ യഹോവ ജീവിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ പാറ വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെട്ടവൻ. എൻ രക്ഷയുടെ പാറയായ ദൈവം ഉന്നതൻ തന്നെ.

The Lord liveth, and my God is blessed: and the strong God of my salvation shall be exalted:

48 ൪൮ എനിക്കുവേണ്ടി പ്രതികാരം ചെയ്യുന്നവനും ജനതകളെ എനിക്ക് കീഴാക്കുന്നവനും ദൈവം തന്നെ.

God who giveth me revenge, and bringest down people under me,

49 ൪൯ അവിടുന്ന് എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളിൽനിന്ന് എന്നെ വിടുവിക്കുന്നു; എനിക്കെതിരെ എഴുന്നേല്ക്കുന്നവർക്കു മീതെ അങ്ങ് എന്നെ ഉയർത്തുന്നു; അക്രമിയിൽനിന്ന് അങ്ങ് എന്നെ വിടുവിക്കുന്നു.

Who bringest me forth from my enemies, and liftest me up from them that resist me: from the wicked man thou shalt deliver me.

50 ൫൦ അതുകൊണ്ട്, യഹോവേ, ഞാൻ ജാതികളുടെ മദ്ധ്യേ അങ്ങയ്ക്ക് സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്യും, അങ്ങയുടെ നാമത്തെ ഞാൻ കീർത്തിക്കും.

Therefore will I give thanks to thee. O Lord, among the Gentiles, and will sing to thy name.

51 ൫൧ അവിടുന്ന് തന്റെ രാജാവിന് രക്ഷാഗോപുരം ആകുന്നു; അവിടുത്തെ അഭിഷിക്തനു ദയ കാണിക്കുന്നു; ദാവീദിനും അവന്റെ സന്തതിക്കും എന്നെന്നേക്കും തന്നെ”.

Giving great salvation to his king, and shewing mercy to David his anointed, and to his seed for ever.
