സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 50

1 ദൈവം, യഹോവയായ ദൈവം അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു, സൂൎയ്യന്റെ ഉദയംമുതൽ അസ്തമയംവരെ ഭൂമിയെ വിളിക്കുന്നു.

A psalm of Asaph. The Lord God has spoken: He summons the earth from sunrise to sunset.

2 സൌന്ദൎയ്യത്തിന്റെ പൂൎണ്ണതയായ സീയോനിൽനിന്നു ദൈവം പ്രകാശിക്കുന്നു.

From Zion, perfection of beauty, God’s glory shines forth.

3 നമ്മുടെ ദൈവം വരുന്നു; മൌനമായിരിക്കയില്ല; അവന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ തീ ദഹിപ്പിക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ ചുറ്റും വലിയോരു കൊടുങ്കാറ്റടിക്കുന്നു.

Our God comes, he cannot keep silence, devouring fire is before him, and furious tempest around him.

4 തന്റെ ജനത്തെ ന്യായം വിധിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവൻ മേലിൽനിന്നു ആകാശത്തെയും ഭൂമിയെയും വിളിക്കുന്നു.

He summons the heavens above and the earth to judge his people.

5 യാഗം കഴിച്ചു എന്നോടു നിയമം ചെയ്തവരായ എന്റെ വിശുദ്ധന്മാരെ എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൂട്ടുവിൻ.

Gather to him his saints by covenant-sacrifice bound to him;

6 ദൈവം തന്നേ ന്യായാധിപതി ആയിരിക്കയാൽ ആകാശം അവന്റെ നീതിയെ ഘോഷിക്കും. (സേലാ)

that the heavens may declare his justice, for a God of justice is he. (Selah)

7 എന്റെ ജനമേ, കേൾക്ക; ഞാൻ സംസാരിക്കും. യിസ്രായേലേ, ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു സാക്ഷീകരിക്കും: ദൈവമായ ഞാൻ നിന്റെ ദൈവമാകുന്നു.

‘Hear, O my people, and I will speak, and protest to you, O Israel: I am the Lord, your God.

8 നിന്റെ ഹനനയാഗങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചു ഞാൻ നിന്നെ ശാസിക്കുന്നില്ല; നിന്റെ ഹോമയാഗങ്ങൾ എപ്പോഴും എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

Not for your sacrifices will I reprove you your burnt-offerings are ever before me

9 നിന്റെ വീട്ടിൽനിന്നു കാളയെയോ നിന്റെ തൊഴുത്തുകളിൽനിന്നു കോലാട്ടുകൊറ്റന്മാരെയോ ഞാൻ എടുക്കയില്ല.

Not a bullock will I take from your house, nor male goats out of your folds;

10 കാട്ടിലെ സകലമൃഗവും പൎവ്വതങ്ങളിലെ ആയിരമായിരം ജന്തുക്കളും എനിക്കുള്ളവയാകുന്നു.

for all beasts of the forest are mine, and the kine on a thousand hills.

11 മലകളിലെ പക്ഷികളെ ഒക്കെയും ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നു; വയലിലെ ജന്തുക്കളും എനിക്കുള്ളവ തന്നേ.

I know all the birds of the air, all that moves on the fields is mine.

12 എനിക്കു വിശന്നാൽ ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു പറകയില്ല; ഭൂലോകവും അതിന്റെ നിറവും എന്റേതത്രേ.

Were I hungry, I would not tell you, for the world and its fulness are mine.

13 ഞാൻ കാളകളുടെ മാംസം തിന്നുമോ? കോലാട്ടുകൊറ്റന്മാരുടെ രക്തം കുടിക്കുമോ?

Am I such as to eat bulls’ flesh, or drink the blood of goats?

14 ദൈവത്തിന്നു സ്തോത്രയാഗം അൎപ്പിക്ക; അത്യുന്നതന്നു നിന്റെ നേൎച്ചകളെ കഴിക്ക.

Offer to God a thank-offering, pay the Most High your vows.

15 കഷ്ടകാലത്തു എന്നെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്ക; ഞാൻ നിന്നെ വിടുവിക്കയും നീ എന്നെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തുകയും ചെയ്യും.

Summon me in the day of distress, I will rescue you, so will you honour me.’

16 എന്നാൽ ദുഷ്ടനോടു ദൈവം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: നീ എന്റെ ചട്ടങ്ങളെ അറിയിപ്പാനും എന്റെ നിയമത്തെ നിന്റെ വായിൽ എടുപ്പാനും നിനക്കെന്തു കാൎയ്യം?

But to the wicked God says: ‘What right have you to talk of my statutes, or take my covenant into your mouth

17 നീ ശാസനയെ വെറുത്തു എന്റെ വചനങ്ങളെ നിന്റെ പുറകിൽ എറിഞ്ഞുകളയുന്നുവല്ലോ.

while you yourself hate correction, and cast my words behind you?

18 കള്ളനെ കണ്ടാൽ നീ അവന്നു അനുകൂലപ്പെടുന്നു; വ്യഭിചാരികളോടു നീ പങ്കു കൂടുന്നു.

When you see a thief, you run with them; with adulterers you keep company.

19 നിന്റെ വായ് നീ ദോഷത്തിന്നു വിട്ടുകൊടുക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ നാവു വഞ്ചന പിണെക്കുന്നു.

You let your mouth loose for evil, your tongue contrives deceit.

20 നീ ഇരുന്നു നിന്റെ സഹോദരന്നു വിരോധമായി സംസാരിക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ അമ്മയുടെ മകനെക്കുറിച്ചു അപവാദം പറയുന്നു.

You shamefully speak of your kin, and slander your own mother’s son.

21 ഇവ നീ ചെയ്തു ഞാൻ മിണ്ടാതിരിക്കയാൽ ഞാൻ നിന്നെപ്പോലെയുള്ളവനെന്നു നീ നിരൂപിച്ചു; എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ നിന്നെ ശാസിച്ചു നിന്റെ കണ്ണിൻ മുമ്പിൽ അവയെ നിരത്തിവെക്കും.

And because I kept silence at this, you did take me for one like yourself. But I will convict you and show you plainly.

22 ദൈവത്തെ മറക്കുന്നവരേ, ഇതു ഓൎത്തുകൊൾവിൻ; അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ കീറിക്കളയും; വിടുവിപ്പാൻ ആരുമുണ്ടാകയുമില്ല.

‘Now you who forget God, mark this, lest I rend you, past hope of deliverance.

23 സ്തോത്രമെന്ന യാഗം അൎപ്പിക്കുന്നവൻ എന്നെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു; തന്റെ നടപ്പിനെ ക്രമപ്പെടുത്തുന്നവന്നു ഞാൻ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ രക്ഷയെ കാണിക്കും.

Those who bring a thank-offering honour me; but to those: who follows my way, I will show the salvation of God.’
