1 യിസ്രായേൽ മിസ്രയീമിൽനിന്നും യാക്കോബിൻഗൃഹം അന്യഭാഷയുള്ള ജാതിയുടെ ഇടയിൽനിന്നും പുറപ്പെട്ടപ്പോൾ

When Israel went out of Egypt, and the house of Iaakob from the barbarous people,

2 യെഹൂദാ അവന്റെ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരവും യിസ്രായേൽ അവന്റെ ആധിപത്യവുമായി തീൎന്നു.

Iudah was his sanctification, and Israel his dominion.

3 സമുദ്രം കണ്ടു ഓടി; യോൎദ്ദാൻ പിൻവാങ്ങിപ്പോയി.

The Sea sawe it and fled: Iorden was turned backe.

4 പൎവ്വതങ്ങൾ മുട്ടാടുകളെപ്പോലെയും കുന്നുകൾ കുഞ്ഞാടുകളെപ്പോലെയും തുള്ളി.

The mountaines leaped like rams, and the hils as lambes.

5 സമുദ്രമേ, നീ ഓടുന്നതെന്തു? യോൎദ്ദാനേ, നീ പിൻവാങ്ങുന്നതെന്തു?

What ailed thee, O Sea, that thou fleddest? O Iorden, why wast thou turned backe?

6 പൎവ്വതങ്ങളേ; നിങ്ങൾ മുട്ടാടുകളെപ്പോലെയും കുന്നുകളേ, നിങ്ങൾ കുഞ്ഞാടുകളെപ്പോലെയും തുള്ളുന്നതു എന്തു.

Ye mountaines, why leaped ye like rams, and ye hils as lambes?

7 ഭൂമിയേ, നീ കൎത്താവിന്റെ സന്നിധിയിൽ, യാക്കോബിൻ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ സന്നിധിയിൽ വിറെക്ക.

The earth trembled at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Iaakob,

8 അവൻ പാറയെ ജലതടാകവും തീക്കല്ലിനെ നീരുറവും ആക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

Which turneth the rocke into waterpooles, and the flint into a fountaine of water.
