ന്യായാധിപന്മാർ 5
1 അന്നു ദെബോരയും അബീനോവാമിന്റെ മകനായ ബാരാക്കും പാട്ടുപാടിയതു എന്തെന്നാൽ:
Then Deborah and Barak the son of Abinoam sang on that day, saying,
2 നായകന്മാർ യിസ്രായേലിനെ നയിച്ചതിന്നും ജനം സ്വമേധയാ സേവിച്ചതിന്നും യഹോവയെ വാഴ്ത്തുവിൻ.
“Because the leaders took the lead in Israel, because the people offered themselves willingly, be blessed, Yahweh!
3 രാജാക്കന്മാരേ, കേൾപ്പിൻ; പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരേ, ചെവിതരുവിൻ; ഞാൻ പാടും യഹോവെക്കു ഞാൻ പാടും; യിസ്രായേലിൻ ദൈവമായ യഹോവെക്കു കീൎത്തനം ചെയ്യും.
“Hear, you kings! Give ear, you princes! I, even I, will sing to Yahweh. I will sing praise to Yahweh, the God of Israel.
4 യഹോവേ, നീ സേയീരിൽനിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുകയിൽ, ഏദോമ്യദേശത്തുകൂടി നീ നടകൊൾകയിൽ, ഭൂമി കുലുങ്ങി, ആകാശം പൊഴിഞ്ഞു, മേഘങ്ങൾ വെള്ളം ചൊരിഞ്ഞു,
“Yahweh, when you went out of Seir, when you marched out of the field of Edom, the earth trembled, the sky also dropped. Yes, the clouds dropped water.
5 യഹോവാസന്നിധിയിൽ മലകൾ കുലുങ്ങി, യിസ്രായേലിൻ ദൈവമായ യഹോവെക്കു മുമ്പിൽ ആ സീനായി തന്നേ.
The mountains quaked at Yahweh’s presence, even Sinai at the presence of Yahweh, the God of Israel.
6 അനാത്തിൻ പുത്രനാം ശംഗരിൻ നാളിലും, യായേലിൻ കാലത്തും പാതകൾ ശൂന്യമായി. വഴിപോക്കർ വളഞ്ഞ വഴികളിൽ നടന്നു.

7 ദെബോരയായ ഞാൻ എഴുന്നേല്ക്കുംവരെ, യിസ്രായേലിൽ മാതാവായെഴുന്നേല്ക്കുംവരെ നായകന്മാർ യിസ്രായേലിൽ അശേഷം അറ്റുപോയിരുന്നു.

8 അവർ നൂതനദേവന്മാരെ വരിച്ചു; ഗോപുരദ്വാരത്തിങ്കൽ യുദ്ധംഭവിച്ചു. യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ നാല്പതിനായിരത്തിൻ മദ്ധ്യേ പരിചയും കുന്തവും കണ്ടതേയില്ല.

9 എന്റെ ഹൃദയം യിസ്രായേൽനായകന്മാരോടു പറ്റുന്നു; ജനത്തിലെ സ്വമേധാസേവകരേ, യഹോവയെ വാഴ്ത്തുവിൻ.

10 വെള്ളക്കഴുതപ്പുറത്തു കയറുന്നവരേ, പരവതാനികളിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നവരേ, കാൽനടയായി പോകുന്നവരേ, വൎണ്ണിപ്പിൻ!
“Speak, you who ride on white donkeys, you who sit on rich carpets, and you who walk by the way.
11 വില്ലാളികളുടെ ഞാണൊലിയോടകലേ നീൎപ്പാത്തിക്കിടയിൽ അവിടെ അവർ യഹോവയുടെ നീതികളെ യിസ്രായേലിലെ ഭരണനീതികളെ കഥിക്കും. യഹോവയുടെ ജനം അന്നു ഗോപുരദ്വാരത്തിങ്കൽ ചെന്നു.

13 അന്നു ശ്രേഷ്ഠന്മാരുടെ ശിഷ്ടവും പടജ്ജനവും ഇറങ്ങിവന്നു. വീരന്മാരുടെ മദ്ധ്യേ യഹോവയും എനിക്കായി ഇറങ്ങിവന്നു.

14 എഫ്രയീമിൽനിന്നു അമാലേക്കിൽ വേരുള്ളവരും, ബെന്യാമീനേ, നിന്റെ പിന്നാലെ നിന്റെ ജനസമൂഹത്തിൽ മാഖീരിൽനിന്നു അധിപന്മാരും സെബൂലൂനിൽനിന്നു നായകദണ്ഡധാരികളും വന്നു.
Those whose root is in Amalek came out of Ephraim, after you, Benjamin, among your peoples. Governors come down out of Machir. Those who handle the marshal’s staff came out of Zebulun.
15 യിസ്സാഖാർപ്രഭുക്കന്മാർ ദെബോരയോടുകൂടെ യിസ്സാഖാർ എന്നപോലെ ബാരാക്കും താഴ്വരയിൽ അവനോടുകൂടെ ചാടി പുറപ്പെട്ടു. രൂബേന്റെ നീൎച്ചാലുകൾക്കരികെ ഘനമേറിയ മനോനിൎണ്ണയങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടായി.

16 ആട്ടിൻ കൂട്ടങ്ങൾക്കരികെ കുഴലൂത്തു കേൾപ്പാൻ നീ തൊഴുത്തുകൾക്കിടയിൽ പാൎക്കുന്നതെന്തു? രൂബേന്റെ നീൎച്ചാലുകൾക്കരികെ ഘനമേറിയ മനോനിൎണ്ണയങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടായി.

17 ഗിലെയാദ് യോൎദ്ദാന്നക്കരെ പാൎത്തു. ദാൻ കപ്പലുകൾക്കരികെ താമസിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു? ആശേർ സമുദ്രതീരത്തു അനങ്ങാതിരുന്നു തുറമുഖങ്ങൾക്കകത്തു പാൎത്തുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

18 സെബൂലൂൻ പ്രാണനെ ത്യജിച്ച ജനം; നഫ്താലി പോൎക്കളമേടുകളിൽ തന്നേ.
Zebulun was a people that jeopardized their lives to the death; Naphtali also, on the high places of the field.
19 രാജാക്കന്മാർ വന്നു പൊരുതു: താനാക്കിൽവെച്ചു മെഗിദ്ദോവെള്ളത്തിന്നരികെ കനാന്യഭൂപന്മാർ അന്നു പൊരുതു, വെള്ളിയങ്ങവൎക്കു കൊള്ളയായില്ല.
“The kings came and fought, then the kings of Canaan fought at Taanach by the waters of Megiddo. They took no plunder of silver.
20 ആകാശത്തുനിന്നു നക്ഷത്രങ്ങൾ പൊരുതു അവ സീസെരയുമായി സ്വഗതികളിൽ പൊരുതു.
From the sky the stars fought. From their courses, they fought against Sisera.
21 കീശോൻതോടു പുരാതനനദിയാം കീശോൻതോടു തള്ളിയങ്ങവരെ ഒഴുക്കിക്കൊണ്ടു പോയി. എൻ മനമേ, നീ ബലത്തോടെ നടകൊൾക.
The river Kishon swept them away, that ancient river, the river Kishon. My soul, march on with strength.
22 അന്നു വല്ഗിതത്താൽ, ശൂരവല്ഗിതത്താൽ കുതിരക്കുളമ്പുകൾ ഘട്ടനം ചെയ്തു.

23 മേരോസ് നഗരത്തെ ശപിച്ചുകൊൾവിൻ, അതിൻ നിവാസികളെ ഉഗ്രമായി ശപിപ്പിൻ എന്നു യഹോവാദൂതൻ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു. അവർ യഹോവെക്കു തുണയായി വന്നില്ലല്ലോ; ശൂരന്മാൎക്കെതിരെ യഹോവെക്കു തുണയായി തന്നേ.
‘Curse Meroz,’ said Yahweh’s angel. ‘Curse bitterly its inhabitants, because they didn’t come to help Yahweh, to help Yahweh against the mighty.’
24 കേന്യനാം ഹേബേരിൻ ഭാൎയ്യയാം യായേലോ നാരീജനത്തിൽ അനുഗ്രഹം ലഭിച്ചവൾ, കൂടാരവാസിനീജനത്തിൽ അനുഗ്രഹം ലഭിച്ചവൾ.
“Jael shall be blessed above women, the wife of Heber the Kenite; blessed shall she be above women in the tent.
25 തണ്ണീർ അവൻ ചോദിച്ചു, പാൽ അവൾ കൊടുത്തു; രാജകീയപാത്രത്തിൽ അവൾ ക്ഷീരം കൊടുത്തു.
He asked for water. She gave him milk. She brought him butter in a lordly dish.
26 കുറ്റിയെടുപ്പാൻ അവൾ കൈനീട്ടി തന്റെ വലങ്കൈ പണിക്കാരുടെ ചുറ്റികെക്കുനീട്ടി; സീസെരയെ തല്ലി അവന്റെ തല തകൎത്തു അവന്റെ ചെന്നി കുത്തിത്തുളെച്ചു.
She put her hand to the tent peg, and her right hand to the workmen’s hammer. With the hammer she struck Sisera. She struck through his head. Yes, she pierced and struck through his temples.
27 അവളുടെ കാൽക്കൽ അവൻ കുനിഞ്ഞുവീണു, അവളുടെ കാൽക്കൽ അവൻ കുനിഞ്ഞുവീണു കിടന്നു; കുനിഞ്ഞേടത്തു തന്നേ അവൻ ചത്തുകിടന്നു.
At her feet he bowed, he fell, he lay. At her feet he bowed, he fell. Where he bowed, there he fell down dead.
28 സീസെരയുടെ അമ്മ കിളിവാതിലൂടെ കുനിഞ്ഞുനിന്നു നോക്കിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു. ജാലകത്തൂടെ വിളിച്ചുപറഞ്ഞിതു: അവന്റെ തേർ വരുവാൻ വൈകുന്നതു എന്തു? രഥചക്രങ്ങൾക്കു താമസം എന്തു?
“Through the window she looked out, and cried: Sisera’s mother looked through the lattice. ‘Why is his chariot so long in coming? Why do the wheels of his chariots wait?’
29 ജ്ഞാനമേറിയ നായകിമാർ അതിന്നുത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു; താനും തന്നോടു മറുപടി ആവൎത്തിച്ചു:
Her wise ladies answered her, Yes, she returned answer to herself,
30 കിട്ടിയ കൊള്ള അവർ പങ്കിടുകയല്ലെയോ? ഓരോ പുരുഷന്നു ഒന്നും രണ്ടും പെണ്ണുങ്ങൾ, സീസെരെക്കു കൊള്ള വിചിത്രവസ്ത്രം വിചിത്രത്തയ്യലായ കൊള്ളയും കൂടെ. കൊള്ളക്കാരുടെ കഴുത്തിൽ വിചിത്രശീല ഈരണ്ടു കാണും.
‘Have they not found, have they not divided the plunder? A lady, two ladies to every man; to Sisera a plunder of dyed garments, a plunder of dyed garments embroidered, of dyed garments embroidered on both sides, on the necks of the plunder?’
31 യഹോവേ, നിന്റെ ശത്രുക്കൾ ഒക്കെയും ഇവ്വണ്ണം നശിക്കട്ടെ. അവനെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നവരോ സൂൎയ്യൻ പ്രതാപത്തോടെ ഉദിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ തന്നേ. പിന്നെ ദേശത്തിന്നു നാല്പതു സംവത്സരം സ്വസ്ഥത ഉണ്ടായി.
“So let all your enemies perish, Yahweh, but let those who love him be as the sun when it rises in its strength.” Then the land had rest forty years.
