ലൂക്കോസ് 24
1 ആഴ്ചയുടെ ആദ്യദിവസം അതിരാവിലെ ആ സ്ത്രീകൾ തങ്ങൾ തയ്യാറാക്കിയ സുഗന്ധദ്രവ്യങ്ങൾ എടുത്തുകൊണ്ട് കല്ലറയുടെ അടുത്തെത്തി.
But very early on the first day of the week they went to the tomb, taking with them the spices that they had prepared.
2 കല്ലറയുടെ കവാടത്തിൽനിന്ന് കല്ല് ഉരുട്ടി മാറ്റിയിരുന്നതായി അവർ കണ്ടു.
They found that the stone had been rolled away from the tomb;
3 അവർ ഉള്ളിൽ പ്രവേശിച്ചപ്പോൾ കർത്താവായ യേശുവിന്റെ ശരീരം അവിടെ കണ്ടില്ല.
and, on going into it, they could not find the body.
4 അതിനെക്കുറിച്ച് അവർ ആശ്ചര്യചകിതരായിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ, പെട്ടെന്നു മിന്നൽപ്പിണർപോലെ തിളങ്ങുന്ന വസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ച രണ്ട് പുരുഷന്മാർ തൊട്ടരികത്തുനിൽക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു.
While they were at a loss to account for this, all at once two men stood beside them, in dazzling clothing.
5 ആ സ്ത്രീകൾ ഭയവിഹ്വലരായി, തല ഉയർത്താൻപോലും കഴിയാതെ നിൽക്കുമ്പോൾ ആ പുരുഷന്മാർ അവരോട് ഇങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞു: “നിങ്ങൾ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നവനെ മരിച്ചവരുടെ ഇടയിൽ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നതെന്തിന്?
But, when in their fear the women bowed their faces to the ground, the men said to them, ‘Why are you looking among the dead for him who is living?
6 അദ്ദേഹം ഇവിടെ ഇല്ല! അദ്ദേഹം ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേറ്റിരിക്കുന്നു!
Remember how he spoke to you before he left Galilee –
7 മുമ്പേ നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഗലീലയിൽ ആയിരുന്നപ്പോൾ യേശു നിങ്ങളോട്, ‘മനുഷ്യപുത്രൻ പാപികളുടെ കൈയിൽ ഏൽപ്പിക്കപ്പെട്ടു ക്രൂശിക്കപ്പെടുകയും മൂന്നാംനാൾ ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേൽക്കുകയും വേണം’ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞത് ഓർക്കുക” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
How he said that the Son of Man must be betrayed into the hands of wicked men, and be crucified, and rise again on the third day.’
8 അപ്പോൾ അവർ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ വാക്കുകൾ ഓർത്തു.
Then they remembered the words of Jesus,
9 കല്ലറയിൽനിന്ന് മടങ്ങിയെത്തിയശേഷം അവർ ഈ കാര്യങ്ങളെല്ലാം പതിനൊന്ന് അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാരോടും മറ്റു ശിഷ്യരോടും അറിയിച്ചു.
and, on returning from the tomb, they told all this to the Eleven and to all the rest.
10 മഗ്ദലക്കാരി മറിയ, യോഹന്ന, യാക്കോബിന്റെ അമ്മ മറിയ എന്നിവരും അവരോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന മറ്റു സ്ത്രീകളുമാണ് ഈ വാർത്ത അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാരെ ആദ്യം അറിയിക്കുന്നത്.
There were Mary of Magdala, and Joanna, and Mary, the mother of James. The other women, too, spoke about this to the apostles.
11 എന്നാൽ, അവരുടെ വാക്കുകൾ വെറും കെട്ടുകഥപോലെ തോന്നുകയാൽ അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാർ അതു വിശ്വസിച്ചില്ല.
What they said seemed to the apostles mere nonsense, and they did not believe them.
12 എങ്കിലും പത്രോസ് എഴുന്നേറ്റു കല്ലറയുടെ അടുത്തേക്കോടി. അയാൾ കല്ലറയ്ക്കുള്ളിലേക്കു കുനിഞ്ഞു നോക്കിയപ്പോൾ മൃതദേഹം പൊതിഞ്ഞിരുന്ന മൃദുലവസ്ത്രങ്ങൾമാത്രം അവിടെ കിടക്കുന്നതുകണ്ട് സംഭവിച്ചതെന്തായിരിക്കുമെന്ന് ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെട്ടു മടങ്ങിപ്പോയി.
13 അന്നുതന്നെ ശിഷ്യരിൽ രണ്ടുപേർ ജെറുശലേമിൽനിന്ന് ഏകദേശം പതിനൊന്ന് കിലോമീറ്റർ അകലെയുള്ള എമ്മവൂസ് എന്ന ഗ്രാമത്തിലേക്കു യാത്രചെയ്യുകയായിരുന്നു.
It happened that very day that two of the disciples were going to a village called Emmaus, which was about seven miles from Jerusalem,
14 സംഭവിച്ച സകലകാര്യങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചും അവർ പരസ്പരം സംസാരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.
talking together, as they went, about all that had just taken place.
15 അങ്ങനെ അവർ സംസാരിച്ചും ചർച്ച ചെയ്തും പൊയ്ക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ യേശുവും അടുത്തുചെന്ന് അവരോടു ചേർന്നു നടന്നു.
While they were talking about these things and discussing them, Jesus himself came up and went on their way with them;
16 എന്നാൽ, അദ്ദേഹത്തെ തിരിച്ചറിയാത്തവണ്ണം ദൈവം അവരുടെ കാഴ്ചശക്തി നിയന്ത്രിച്ചിരുന്നു.
but their eyes were blinded so that they could not recognise him.
17 അദ്ദേഹം അവരോട്, “യാത്രയ്ക്കിടയിൽ നിങ്ങൾ ചർച്ചചെയ്യുന്ന കാര്യമെന്താണ്?” എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. അവർ നിരാശപ്പെട്ട മുഖത്തോടെ നിശ്ചലരായി നിലകൊണ്ടു.
‘What is this that you are saying to each other as you walk along?’ Jesus asked. They stopped, with sad looks on their faces,
18 അവരിൽ ക്ലെയോപ്പാവ് എന്നു പേരുള്ളയാൾ അദ്ദേഹത്തോട് ചോദിച്ചു, “ജെറുശലേമിലെ സന്ദർശകരിൽ താങ്കൾമാത്രമാണല്ലോ ഈ നാളുകളിൽ അവിടെ ഉണ്ടായ സംഭവങ്ങൾ അറിയാത്തത്?”
and then one of them, whose name was Cleopas, said to Jesus, ‘Are you staying by yourself at Jerusalem, that you have not heard of the things that have happened there within the last few days?’
19 “എന്തു സംഭവങ്ങൾ?” യേശു ചോദിച്ചു. അവർ അപ്പോൾ ഇങ്ങനെ മറുപടി പറഞ്ഞു: “നസറെത്തുകാരനായ യേശുവിനു സംഭവിച്ച കാര്യങ്ങൾതന്നെ. പ്രവൃത്തിയിലും വാക്കിലും ദൈവത്തിന്റെയും സർവമനുഷ്യരുടെയും ദൃഷ്ടിയിൽ അതിശക്തനായ ഒരു പ്രവാചകൻ ആയിരുന്നു അദ്ദേഹം.
‘What things do you mean?’ asked Jesus. ‘Why, about Jesus of Nazareth,’ they answered, ‘who, in the eyes of God and all the people, was a prophet, whose power was felt in both his words and actions;
20 ഞങ്ങളുടെ പുരോഹിതമുഖ്യന്മാരും ഭരണാധികാരികളും അദ്ദേഹത്തെ മരണശിക്ഷയ്ക്കായി റോമാക്കാരെ ഏൽപ്പിക്കുകയും അവർ ക്രൂശിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.
and how the chief priests and our leading men gave him up to be sentenced to death, and afterwards crucified him.
21 ഞങ്ങളോ, ഇസ്രായേലിനെ വിമോചിപ്പിക്കാൻ പോകുന്നത് അദ്ദേഹമാണെന്ന് ആശിച്ചിരുന്നു. എന്തു പറയേണ്ടൂ? ഇതൊക്കെ സംഭവിച്ചിട്ട് ഇന്ന് മൂന്നാംനാൾ ആകുന്നു.
But we were hoping that he was the Destined Deliverer of Israel; yes, and besides all this, it is now three days since these things occurred.
22 അതുകൊണ്ടും തീർന്നില്ല, ഞങ്ങളുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിലുള്ള ചില സ്ത്രീകൾ ഞങ്ങളെ അമ്പരപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവർ ഇന്ന് അതിരാവിലെ കല്ലറയുടെ അടുത്തുചെന്നു;
And what is more, some of the women among us have greatly astonished us. They went to the tomb at daybreak
23 എന്നാൽ, അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ശരീരം അവർക്കു കാണാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല. അവർ വന്നു ഞങ്ങളോട്, അദ്ദേഹം ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നറിയിച്ച ദൂതന്മാരെ അവർ ദർശനത്തിൽ കണ്ടതായി പറഞ്ഞു.
And, not finding the body of Jesus there, came and told us that they had seen a vision of angels who told them that he was alive.
24 അപ്പോൾ ഞങ്ങളുടെ കൂട്ടുകാരിൽ ചിലർ കല്ലറയുടെ അടുത്തേക്കുപോയി. അവരും സ്ത്രീകൾ പറഞ്ഞതുപോലെതന്നെ കണ്ടു. എന്നാൽ അവർ യേശുവിനെ കണ്ടില്ല.”
So some of our number went to the tomb and found everything just as the women had said, but they did not see Jesus.’
25 അദ്ദേഹം അവരോട്, “ഹാ! നിങ്ങൾ എത്ര ബുദ്ധിശൂന്യർ! പ്രവാചകന്മാർ പ്രസ്താവിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളതെല്ലാം വിശ്വസിക്കാൻ കഴിയാത്ത മന്ദബുദ്ധികളേ!
Then Jesus said to them, ‘Foolish men, slow to accept all that the prophets have said!
26 ഇവയെല്ലാം സഹിച്ചതിനുശേഷമല്ലേ ക്രിസ്തു അവിടത്തെ മഹത്ത്വത്തിൽ പ്രവേശിക്കേണ്ടത്?”
Was not the Christ bound to undergo this suffering before entering into his glory?’
27 പിന്നെ അദ്ദേഹം മോശയുടെയും സകലപ്രവാചകന്മാരുടെയും ലിഖിതങ്ങളിലും ശേഷം എല്ലാ തിരുവെഴുത്തുകളിലും തന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞിട്ടുള്ളത് അവർക്കു വ്യാഖ്യാനിച്ചു കൊടുത്തു.
Then, beginning with Moses and all the prophets, he explained to them all through the scriptures the passages that referred to himself.
28 അവർ തങ്ങൾക്കു പോകേണ്ടിയിരുന്ന ഗ്രാമത്തോടടുത്തപ്പോൾ യേശു അവരെ വിട്ട് മുന്നോട്ട് തന്റെ യാത്ര തുടരുന്നതായി ഭാവിച്ചു.
When they got near the village to which they were walking, Jesus appeared to be going further;
29 അപ്പോൾ അവർ, “ഞങ്ങളുടെകൂടെ താമസിക്കുക; സന്ധ്യയാകാറായല്ലോ; പകൽ ഇതാ അവസാനിക്കുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞ് അദ്ദേഹത്തെ നിർബന്ധിച്ചു. അങ്ങനെ അദ്ദേഹം അവരോടുകൂടെ താമസിക്കാനായി അവരുടെ ഗ്രാമത്തിലേക്ക് പോയി.
but they pressed him not to do so. ‘Stay with us,’ they said, ‘for it is getting towards evening, and the sun in already low.’ So Jesus went in to stay with them.
30 അവരോടൊപ്പം ഭക്ഷണത്തിനിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ അദ്ദേഹം അപ്പം കൈകളിലെടുത്തു വാഴ്ത്തി, നുറുക്കി അവർക്കു കൊടുക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങി.
After he had taken his place at the table with them, he took the bread and said the blessing, and broke it, and gave it to them.
31 അപ്പോൾ അവരുടെ കാഴ്ചശക്തിമേലുണ്ടായിരുന്ന നിയന്ത്രണം മാറുകയും അവർ അദ്ദേഹത്തെ തിരിച്ചറിയുകയും ചെയ്തു. തൽക്ഷണം അദ്ദേഹം അവരുടെ ദൃഷ്ടിയിൽനിന്നു മറയുകയും ചെയ്തു.
Then their eyes were opened and they recognised him; but he disappeared from their sight.
32 “അദ്ദേഹം വഴിയിൽവെച്ചു നമ്മോടു സംസാരിക്കുകയും തിരുവെഴുത്തുകൾ വിശദീകരിച്ചുതരികയും ചെയ്തപ്പോൾ നമ്മുടെ ഹൃദയം ജ്വലിക്കുകയായിരുന്നില്ലേ?” അവർ പരസ്പരം ചോദിച്ചു.
‘How our hearts glowed,’ the disciples said to each other, ‘while he was talking to us on the road, and when he explained the scriptures to us!’
33 അവർ ഉടൻതന്നെ എഴുന്നേറ്റ് ജെറുശലേമിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിപ്പോയി. “ഇതു സത്യം! കർത്താവ് പുനരുത്ഥാനംചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു; അവിടന്നു ശിമോനു പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി,” എന്നിങ്ങനെ ഒരുമിച്ചുകൂടിയിരുന്ന് പറഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടിരുന്ന പതിനൊന്ന് അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാരെയും ശേഷം ശിഷ്യരെയും കണ്ടു.
Then they immediately got up and returned to Jerusalem, where they found the Eleven and their companions all together,
who told them that the Master had really risen, and had appeared to Simon.
35 തങ്ങളുടെ യാത്രയിൽ സംഭവിച്ചതും യേശു അപ്പം നുറുക്കുമ്പോൾ അദ്ദേഹത്തെ തങ്ങൾ തിരിച്ചറിഞ്ഞതും അവർ വിവരിച്ചുപറഞ്ഞു.
So they also related what had happened during their walk, and how they had recognised Jesus at the breaking of the bread.
36 അവർ ഇങ്ങനെ സംസാരിക്കുമ്പോൾ യേശു അവരുടെ നടുവിൽനിന്നുകൊണ്ട്, “നിങ്ങൾക്കു സമാധാനം” എന്ന് അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.
While they were still talking about these things, Jesus himself stood among them.
37 അവർ ഭയപ്പെട്ടു നടുങ്ങി; തങ്ങൾ ഒരു ഭൂതത്തെയാണു കാണുന്നതെന്ന് അവർ കരുതി.
In their terror and alarm they thought they saw a ghost,
38 അപ്പോൾ യേശു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു, “നിങ്ങൾ ഭയന്നുവിറയ്ക്കുന്നതെന്തിന്? നിങ്ങളുടെ മനസ്സിൽ സംശയങ്ങൾ ഉയരുന്നതെന്തിന്?
but Jesus said to them, ‘Why are you so startled? And why do doubts arise in your minds?
39 എന്റെ കൈകളും കാലുകളും ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചുനോക്കുക. ഇത് ഞാൻതന്നെ! എന്നെ സ്പർശിച്ചു നോക്കുക. എനിക്കുള്ളതായി നിങ്ങൾ കാണുന്നതുപോലെ ഭൂതത്തിനു മാംസവും അസ്ഥികളും ഇല്ലല്ലോ.”
Look at my hands and my feet, and you will know that it is I. Feel me, and look at me, for a ghost has not flesh and bones, as you see that I have.’
40 ഇതു പറഞ്ഞിട്ട് യേശു തന്റെ കൈകളും കാലുകളും അവർക്കു കാണിച്ചുകൊടുത്തു.
41 ആനന്ദാധിക്യം നിമിത്തം തങ്ങൾ കാണുന്നത് യാഥാർഥ്യമാണോ എന്നു വിശ്വസിക്കാനാകാതെ സ്തബ്ധരായി നിൽക്കുന്ന അവരോട് അദ്ദേഹം, “ഇവിടെ നിങ്ങളുടെപക്കൽ ഭക്ഷിക്കാൻ എന്തെങ്കിലും ഉണ്ടോ?” എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
While they were still unable to believe it all, overcome with joy, and were wondering if it were true, Jesus said to them, ‘Have you anything here to eat?’
42 അവർ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് ഒരു കഷണം വറുത്ത മീൻ കൊടുത്തു.
They handed him a piece of broiled fish,
43 അദ്ദേഹം അതെടുത്ത് അവരുടെമുമ്പിൽവെച്ചുതന്നെ ഭക്ഷിച്ചു.
and he took it and ate it before their eyes.
44 പിന്നെ അദ്ദേഹം അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു, “ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ആയിരുന്നപ്പോൾ മോശയുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിലും പ്രവാചകപുസ്തകങ്ങളിലും സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങളിലും എന്നെക്കുറിച്ച് എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതെല്ലാം പൂർത്തീകരിക്കപ്പെടണമെന്ന് പറഞ്ഞത് ഇക്കാര്യങ്ങളൊക്കെയായിരുന്നു.”
‘This is what I told you,’ he said, ‘when I was still with you – that everything that had been written about me in the Law of Moses, the prophets, and the Psalms, must be fulfilled.’
45 പിന്നെ, തിരുവെഴുത്തുകൾ ഗ്രഹിക്കാൻ സാധ്യമാകുംവിധം അദ്ദേഹം അവരുടെ ബുദ്ധിമണ്ഡലത്തെ തുറന്നു.
Then he enabled them to understand the meaning of the scriptures, saying to them,
46 അദ്ദേഹം അവരോട് തുടർന്നു പറഞ്ഞത്, “ഇങ്ങനെയാണ് രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നത്: ക്രിസ്തു യാതനകൾ സഹിച്ച് മരിക്കുകയും മൂന്നാംദിവസം ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേൽക്കുകയും
‘Scripture says that the Christ will suffer, and that he will rise again from the dead on the third day,
47 ജെറുശലേമിൽ ആരംഭിച്ച് സകലജനതകളോടും അവിടത്തെ നാമത്തിൽ മാനസാന്തരവും പാപമോചനവും പ്രസംഗിക്കപ്പെടുകയും വേണം.
and that repentance for forgiveness of sins will be proclaimed on his authority to all the nations – beginning at Jerusalem.
48 ഈ കാര്യങ്ങൾക്കു നിങ്ങൾ സാക്ഷികൾ ആകുന്നു.
You yourselves are to be witnesses to all this.
49 എന്റെ പിതാവുചെയ്ത വാഗ്ദാനം ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെമേൽ അയയ്ക്കും. എന്നാൽ, ഉന്നതത്തിൽനിന്ന് ശക്തി നിങ്ങൾ ധരിക്കുംവരെ നഗരത്തിൽത്തന്നെ താമസിക്കുക.”
And now I am myself about to send you that which my Father has promised. But you must remain in the city until you have been invested with power from above.’
50 ഇതിനുശേഷം അദ്ദേഹം അവരെ ബെഥാന്യവരെ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുപോയി. കൈകൾ ഉയർത്തി അവരെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു.
After this, Jesus led them out as far as Bethany, and there raised his hands and blessed them.
51 ഇങ്ങനെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കെത്തന്നെ അദ്ദേഹം അവരെ വിട്ട് സ്വർഗത്തിലേക്ക് എടുക്കപ്പെട്ടു.
As he was in the act of blessing them, he left them.
52 അവർ അദ്ദേഹത്തെ ആരാധിച്ചു; അത്യാനന്ദത്തോടെ ജെറുശലേമിലേക്ക് മടങ്ങിപ്പോയി.
They returned to Jerusalem full of joy;
53 അവർ ദൈവത്തെ സ്തുതിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് അവരുടെ സമയമെല്ലാം ദൈവാലയത്തിൽ ചെലവഴിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.
and they were constantly in the Temple Courts, blessing God.
