ആവർത്തനപുസ്തകം 23

1 ജനനേന്ദ്രിയം വിച്ഛേദിക്കപ്പെട്ടവനോ ഉടയ്ക്കപ്പെട്ടവനോ യഹോവയുടെ സഭയിൽ പ്രവേശിക്കരുത്.

No one whose testicles are crushed or whose male organ is cut off may enter the assembly of YHWH.

2 വിലക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്ന വിവാഹബന്ധത്തിലൂടെ ജനിക്കുന്നവ്യക്തിയും അയാളുടെ പത്താമത്തെ തലമുറപോലും യഹോവയുടെ സഭയിൽ പ്രവേശിക്കരുത്.

No one of illegitimate birth shall enter into the assembly of YHWH; even to the tenth generation shall none of his enter into the assembly of YHWH.

3 അമ്മോന്യരോ മോവാബ്യരോ, അവരുടെ പത്താമത്തെ തലമുറയിലുള്ള ഒരുത്തൻപോലും യഹോവയുടെ സഭയിൽ പ്രവേശിക്കരുത്.

An Ammonite or a Moabite shall not enter into the assembly of YHWH; even to the tenth generation shall none belonging to them enter into the assembly of YHWH forever:

4 നിങ്ങൾ ഈജിപ്റ്റിൽനിന്ന് വരുമ്പോൾ നിങ്ങളുടെ വഴിയിൽ അപ്പവും വെള്ളവുംകൊണ്ട് അവർ നിങ്ങളെ എതിരേൽക്കാതിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടും നിങ്ങളെ ശപിക്കേണ്ടതിന് അരാം-നെഹറയിമിലെ പെഥോരിൽനിന്ന് ബെയോരിന്റെ മകനായ ബിലെയാമിനെ അവർ കൂലിക്കു വിളിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടുമാണത്.

because they did not meet you with bread and with water in the way, when you came forth out of Egypt, and because they hired against you Balaam the son of Beor from Pethor of Aram Naharaim, to curse you.

5 എങ്കിലും നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്നെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ട് ബിലെയാമിനെ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കാതെ നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ശാപം നിനക്ക് അനുഗ്രഹമാക്കിത്തീർത്തു.

Nevertheless YHWH your God wouldn't listen to Balaam; but YHWH your God turned the curse into a blessing to you, because YHWH your God loved you.

6 നിന്റെ ജീവിതകാലത്തൊരിക്കലും അവർക്ക് സമാധാനമോ ഐശ്വര്യമോ ആഗ്രഹിക്കരുത്.

You shall not seek their peace nor their prosperity all your days forever.

7 ഏദോമ്യനെ വെറുക്കരുത്; അവൻ നിന്റെ സഹോദരനല്ലോ. ഈജിപ്റ്റുകാരനെ വെറുക്കരുത്; നീ അവന്റെ രാജ്യത്ത് പ്രവാസിയായി താമസിച്ചിരുന്നല്ലോ.

You shall not abhor an Edomite; for he is your brother: you shall not abhor an Egyptian, because you lived as a foreigner in his land.

8 അവരുടെ മൂന്നാംതലമുറയ്ക്കു ജനിക്കുന്ന മക്കൾക്ക് യഹോവയുടെ സഭയിൽ പ്രവേശിക്കാം.

The children of the third generation who are born to them shall enter into the assembly of YHWH.

9 നീ നിന്റെ ശത്രുക്കൾക്കു വിരോധമായി പാളയമിറങ്ങുമ്പോൾ എല്ലാ അശുദ്ധിയിൽനിന്നും ഒഴിഞ്ഞുനിൽക്കണം.

When you go forth in camp against your enemies, then you shall keep yourselves from every evil thing.

10 സ്വപ്നസ്ഖലനംമൂലം നിങ്ങളിൽ ഒരുവൻ അശുദ്ധനായിത്തീർന്നാൽ അവൻ പാളയത്തിനുപുറത്തു താമസിക്കണം.

If there is among you any man who is not clean by reason of that which happens him by night, then shall he go outside of the camp. He shall not come within the camp:

11 സന്ധ്യയാകുമ്പോൾ അവൻ കുളിക്കണം. സൂര്യാസ്തമയത്തിനുശേഷം അവനു പാളയത്തിലേക്കു തിരികെ വരാം.

but it shall be, when evening comes on, he shall bathe himself in water; and when the sun is down, he shall come within the camp.

12 വിസർജനത്തിനുവേണ്ടി പാളയത്തിനുപുറത്ത് നിങ്ങൾക്ക് പ്രത്യേക സ്ഥലം ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കണം.

You shall have a place also outside of the camp, where you shall go outside there;

13 നിങ്ങളുടെ ആയുധങ്ങളുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിൽ ഒരു പാര ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കണം. ഒരു കുഴിയുണ്ടാക്കി വിസർജ്യം അതിൽ മൂടിയിടണം.

and you shall have a spade among your tools; and it shall be, when you sit down outside, you shall dig therewith, and shall turn and cover that which comes from you:

14 നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിങ്ങളെ സംരക്ഷിക്കുന്നതിനും ശത്രുക്കളെ നിങ്ങളുടെ കൈയിൽ ഏൽപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനും നിങ്ങളുടെ പാളയത്തിനു മധ്യേ സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നു. നിങ്ങളിൽ മ്ലേച്ഛമായവ കണ്ടിട്ട് അവിടന്ന് നിങ്ങളെ വിട്ടകന്നുപോകാതിരിക്കാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ പാളയം ശുദ്ധമായിരിക്കണം.

for YHWH your God walks in the midst of your camp, to deliver you, and to give up your enemies before you; therefore your camp shall be holy, that he may not see an unclean thing in you, and turn away from you.

15 ഒരു അടിമ തന്റെ ഇപ്പോഴത്തെ യജമാനനിൽനിന്നു രക്ഷപ്പെട്ട് നിന്നെ അഭയം പ്രാപിച്ചാൽ ആ അടിമയെ അയാളുടെ യജമാനനു കൈമാറരുത്.

You shall not deliver to his master a servant who is escaped from his master to you:

16 അവർ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽ തനിക്ക് ഇഷ്ടമുള്ള പട്ടണത്തിൽ എവിടെയെങ്കിലും താമസിക്കട്ടെ. അവനെ പീഡിപ്പിക്കരുത്.

he shall dwell with you, in the midst of you, in the place which he shall choose within one of your gates, where it pleases him best: you shall not oppress him.

17 ഒരു ഇസ്രായേല്യനും—സ്ത്രീയോ പുരുഷനോ—ക്ഷേത്രഗണികയോ പുരുഷമൈഥുനക്കാരനോ ആകരുത്.

There shall be no prostitute of the daughters of Israel, neither shall there be a sacred male prostitute of the children of Israel.

18 വേശ്യാവൃത്തിചെയ്യുന്ന സ്ത്രീയുടെയോ പുരുഷന്റെയോ കൂലി നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിൽ നേർച്ചയായി കൊണ്ടുവരാൻ പാടില്ല. ഇവ രണ്ടും നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയ്ക്ക് അറപ്പാകുന്നു.

You shall not bring the hire of a prostitute, or the wages of a dog, into the house of YHWH your God for any vow: for even both these are an abomination to YHWH your God.

19 പണത്തിനോ ഭക്ഷണത്തിനോ പലിശ വാങ്ങാവുന്ന ഏതെങ്കിലും വസ്തുവിനോ നിന്റെ സഹയിസ്രായേല്യനോട് പലിശ വാങ്ങരുത്.

You shall not lend on interest to your brother; interest of money, interest of food, interest of anything that is lent on interest:

20 അന്യദേശക്കാരിൽനിന്നു നിനക്ക് പലിശ വാങ്ങാം. എന്നാൽ നീ അവകാശമാക്കാൻപോകുന്ന ദേശത്തു ചെയ്യുന്ന എല്ലാ കാര്യങ്ങളിലും നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്നെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കേണ്ടതിന് ഇസ്രായേല്യനായ ഒരു സഹോദരനോട് പലിശ വാങ്ങരുത്.

to a foreigner you may lend on interest; but to your brother you shall not lend on interest, that YHWH your God may bless you in all that you put your hand to, in the land where you go in to possess it.

21 നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയ്ക്ക് നീ നേർച്ച നേർന്നാൽ അതു നിറവേറ്റാൻ താമസിക്കരുത്. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ അതു നിന്നോടു ചോദിക്കും. അതിൽ നീ കുറ്റക്കാരനായിത്തീരും.

When you shall vow a vow to YHWH your God, you shall not be slack to pay it: for YHWH your God will surely require it of you; and it would be sin in you.

22 എന്നാൽ നീ ശപഥം ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ലെങ്കിൽ നിനക്കു കുറ്റമില്ല.

But if you shall forbear to vow, it shall be no sin in you.

23 നീ സ്വമേധയാ നിന്റെ വാകൊണ്ട് നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയ്ക്കു നേർന്നതുകൊണ്ട് നിന്റെ അധരംകൊണ്ട് ഉച്ചരിച്ചത് എന്തായിരുന്നാലും അതു തീർച്ചയായും നിറവേറ്റണം.

That which is gone out of your lips you shall observe and do; according as you have vowed to YHWH your God, a freewill offering, which you have promised with your mouth.

24 നിന്റെ അയൽവാസിയുടെ മുന്തിരിത്തോപ്പിൽ പ്രവേശിച്ചാൽ നിനക്ക് ഇഷ്ടംപോലെ മുന്തിരി ഭക്ഷിക്കാം. പക്ഷേ, ഒന്നും നിന്റെ കുട്ടയിൽ ഇടരുത്.

When you come into your neighbor's vineyard, then you may eat of grapes your fill at your own pleasure; but you shall not put any in your vessel.

25 നിന്റെ അയൽവാസിയുടെ വിളഭൂമിയിൽ പ്രവേശിച്ചാൽ നിനക്ക് ഇഷ്ടംപോലെ കതിർ കൈകൊണ്ടു പറിക്കാം. എന്നാൽ നീ അവന്റെ കതിരിൽ അരിവാൾവെക്കരുത്.

When you come into your neighbor's standing grain, then you may pluck the ears with your hand; but you shall not move a sickle to your neighbor's standing grain.
