1 രാജാക്കന്മാർ 4

1 അങ്ങനെ ശലോമോൻ സമസ്ത ഇസ്രായേലിന്മേലും രാജാവായി വാണു.

And king Solomon is king over all Israel,

2 അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ പ്രമുഖ ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥന്മാർ ഇവരായിരുന്നു: സാദോക്കിന്റെ മകനായ അസര്യാവായിരുന്നു പുരോഹിതൻ;

and these [are] the heads whom he hath: Azariah son of Zadok [is] the priest;

3 ശീശയുടെ പുത്രന്മാരായ എലീഹോരെഫും അഹീയാവും ആയിരുന്നു ലേഖകന്മാർ; അഹീലൂദിന്റെ പുത്രനായ യെഹോശാഫാത്ത് രാജകീയ രേഖാപാലകൻ;

Elihoreph and Ahiah sons of Shisha [are] scribes; Jehoshaphat son of Ahilud [is] remembrancer;

4 യെഹോയാദായുടെ പുത്രനായ ബെനായാവ് സർവസൈന്യാധിപൻ; സാദോക്കും അബ്യാഥാരും പുരോഹിതന്മാർ;

and Benaiah son of Jehoiada [is] over the host; and Zadok and Abiathar [are] priests;

5 നാഥാന്റെ പുത്രനായ അസര്യാവ് പ്രാദേശികഭരണാധിപന്മാരുടെ മേലധികാരി; നാഥാന്റെ മറ്റൊരു പുത്രനായ സബൂദ് പുരോഹിതനും രാജാവിന്റെ ഉപദേശകനുമായിരുന്നു;

and Azariah son of Nathan [is] over the officers; and Zabud son of Nathan [is] minister, friend of the king;

6 അഹീശാർ രാജകൊട്ടാരം ഭരണാധിപൻ; അബ്ദയുടെ പുത്രനായ അദോനിരാം നിർബന്ധിതവേലക്കാരുടെ മേധാവി.

And Ahishar [is] over the household, and Adoniram son of Abda [is] over the tribute.

7 രാജാവിനും രാജകുടുംബത്തിനും ഭക്ഷണപദാർഥങ്ങൾ എത്തിച്ചുകൊടുക്കാൻ ഇസ്രായേലിൽ എല്ലായിടത്തുമായി പന്ത്രണ്ടു പ്രാദേശികഭരണാധിപന്മാർ ശലോമോന് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അവർ ഓരോരുത്തരും വർഷത്തിൽ ഓരോ മാസം അവ എത്തിച്ചുകൊടുക്കും.

And Solomon hath twelve officers over all Israel, and they have sustained the king and his household — a month in the year is on each one for sustenance;

8 അവരുടെ പേരുകൾ ഇവയാണ്: എഫ്രയീം മലനാട്ടിൽ, ബെൻ-ഹൂർ;

and these [are] their names: Ben-Hur in the hill-country of Ephraim;

9 മാക്കസ്, ശാൽബീം, ബേത്-ശേമെശ്, ഏലോൻ-ബേത്ത്-ഹാനാൻ എന്നീ സ്ഥലങ്ങളിൽ, ബെൻദേക്കെർ;

Ben-Dekar in Makaz, and Shaalbim, and Beth-Shemesh, and Elon-Beth-Hanan.

10 അരുബ്ബോത്തിൽ, ബെൻ-ഹേസെദ്; സോഖോവും ഹേഫെർ ദേശംമുഴുവനും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ അധികാരപരിധിക്കുള്ളിലായിരുന്നു.

Ben-Hesed [is] in Aruboth, hath Sochoh and all the land of Hepher;

11 നാഫത്ത്-ദോറിൽ, ബെൻ-അബീനാദാബ്; ഇദ്ദേഹം ശലോമോന്റെ മകളായ താഫത്തിനെ വിവാഹംകഴിച്ചിരുന്നു.

Ben-Abinadab [hath] all the elevation of Dor, Taphath daughter of Solomon became his wife.

12 താനാക്കിലും, മെഗിദ്ദോവിലും, ബേത്-ശയാൻ ദേശത്തുമുഴുവനും, അഹീലൂദിന്റെ മകനായ ബാനാ; ബേത്-ശയാൽദേശം യെസ്രീലിനു താഴെയുള്ള സാരേഥാനോടു ചേർന്നുകിടക്കുന്നതും യോക്മെയാമിനു കുറുകെ ബേത്ത്-ശെയാൻമുതൽ ആബേൽ-മെഹോലാവരെ വ്യാപിച്ചുകിടക്കുന്നതും ആയിരുന്നു.

Baana Ben-Ahilud [hath] Taanach and Megiddo, and all Beth-Shean, which [is] by Zartanah beneath Jezreel, from Beth-Shean unto Abel-Meholah, unto beyond Jokneam.

13 ഗിലെയാദിലെ രാമോത്തിൽ, ബെൻ-ഗേബെർ; ഗിലെയാദുദേശത്തിൽ മനശ്ശെയുടെ പുത്രനായ യായീർ താമസിച്ചിരുന്ന ദേശവും കെട്ടിയുറപ്പിച്ചതും വെങ്കലയോടാമ്പലുകളുള്ള അറുപതു നഗരങ്ങൾ ഉൾപ്പെട്ട ബാശാൻ ദേശത്തിലെ അർഗോബുദേശവും ഇദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ കീഴിലായിരുന്നു.

Ben-Geber, in Ramoth-Gilead, hath the small towns of Jair son of Manasseh, which [are] in Gilead; he hath a portion of Argob that [is] in Bashan, sixty great cities [with] wall and brazen bar.

14 മഹനയീമിൽ, ഇദ്ദോയുടെ പുത്രനായ അഹീനാദാബ്;

Ahinadab son of Iddo [hath] Mahanaim.

15 നഫ്താലിയിൽ, അഹീമാസ്; ശലോമോന്റെ മകളായ ബാസമത്തിനെ ഇദ്ദേഹം വിവാഹംകഴിച്ചിരുന്നു.

Ahimaaz [is] in Naphtali; he also hath taken Basemath daughter of Solomon for a wife.

16 ആശേരിലും ബെയാലോത്തിലും ഹൂശായിയുടെ പുത്രനായ ബാനാ;

Baanah Ben-Hushai [is] in Asher, and in Aloth.

17 യിസ്സാഖാരിൽ, പാരൂഹിന്റെ പുത്രൻ യെഹോശാഫാത്ത്;

Jehoshaphat Ben-Paruah [is] in Issachar.

18 ബെന്യാമീനിൽ, ഏലയുടെ പുത്രൻ ശിമെയി;

Shimei Ben-Elah [is] in Benjamin.

19 അമോര്യരാജാവായ സീഹോന്റെയും ബാശാൻരാജാവായ ഓഗിന്റെയും രാജ്യമായ ഗിലെയാദിൽ, ഹൂരിന്റെ പുത്രൻ ഗേബെർ. ഇവർ കൂടാതെ യെഹൂദാദേശത്തും ഒരു പ്രാദേശിക ഭരണകർത്താവ് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

Geber Ben-Uri [is] in the land of Gilead, the land of Sihon king of the Amorite, and of Og king of Bashan: and one officer who [is] in the land.

20 യെഹൂദ്യയിലെയും ഇസ്രായേലിലെയും ജനം കടൽക്കരയിലെ മണൽപോലെ അസംഖ്യമായിരുന്നു. അവർ ഭക്ഷിച്ചുപാനംചെയ്ത് വളരെ ആനന്ദത്തോടെയാണു കഴിഞ്ഞിരുന്നത്.

Judah and Israel [are] many, as the sand that [is] by the sea for multitude, eating and drinking and rejoicing.

21 യൂഫ്രട്ടീസ് നദിമുതൽ ഫെലിസ്ത്യരുടെദേശവും ഈജിപ്റ്റിന്റെ അതിരുവരെയുള്ള സകലരാജ്യങ്ങളും ശലോമോൻ ഭരിച്ചിരുന്നു. അവർ ശലോമോനു കപ്പം കൊണ്ടുവരികയും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ജീവിതകാലംമുഴുവൻ കീഴടങ്ങിപ്പാർക്കുകയും ചെയ്തിരുന്നു.

And Solomon hath been ruling over all the kingdoms, from the River [to] the land of the Philistines and unto the border of Egypt: they are bringing nigh a present, and serving Solomon, all days of his life.

22 ശലോമോന്റെ ഒരു ദിവസത്തെ ഭക്ഷണച്ചെലവ്: മുപ്പതുകോർ നേരിയമാവ്, അറുപതുകോർ സാധാരണമാവ്,

And the provision of Solomon for one day is thirty cors of flour, and sixty cors of meal;

23 മാനുകൾ, കലമാനുകൾ, ആൺപുള്ളിമാനുകൾ, പുഷ്ടിവരുത്തിയ പക്ഷികൾ എന്നിവകൂടാതെ, പത്തു വളർത്തുമാടുകൾ, മേച്ചിൽപ്പുറത്തു മേഞ്ഞുനടക്കുന്ന ഇരുപതുകാളകൾ, നൂറ് ചെമ്മരിയാടുകളും കോലാടുകളും, ഇവയെല്ലാമായിരുന്നു.

ten fat oxen, and twenty feeding oxen, and a hundred sheep, apart from hart, and roe, and fallow-deer, and fatted beasts of the stalls,

24 യൂഫ്രട്ടീസ് നദിക്കു പടിഞ്ഞാറ് തിപ്സഹുമുതൽ ഗസ്സാവരെയുള്ള സകലരാജ്യങ്ങളും അദ്ദേഹം ഭരിച്ചു. എല്ലാ അതിർത്തിയിലും സമാധാനം നിലനിന്നിരുന്നു.

for he is ruling over all beyond the river, from Tiphsah and unto Gaza, over all the kings beyond the river, and he hath peace from all his servants round about.

25 ശലോമോന്റെ ഭരണകാലത്തെല്ലാം യെഹൂദയും ഇസ്രായേലും ദാൻമുതൽ ബേർ-ശേബാവരെ ഓരോരുത്തരും അവരവരുടെ മുന്തിരിവള്ളിയുടെയും അത്തിവൃക്ഷത്തിന്റെയും തണലിൽ എന്നപോലെ സുരക്ഷിതരായി ജീവിച്ചു.

And Judah dwelleth — and Israel — in confidence, each under his vine, and under his fig-tree, from Dan even unto Beer-Sheba, all the days of Solomon.

26 ശലോമോന് പന്തീരായിരം കുതിരപ്പട്ടാളവും കുതിരകളെ കെട്ടുന്നതിന് നാലായിരം കുതിരലായങ്ങളും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

And Solomon hath forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.

27 പ്രാദേശികഭരണാധിപന്മാർ ഓരോരുത്തരും താന്താങ്ങളുടെ തവണയനുസരിച്ചുള്ള മാസങ്ങളിൽ ശലോമോൻരാജാവിനുവേണ്ടിയും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ തീൻമേശയിങ്കലുള്ളവർക്കുവേണ്ടിയും ഭക്ഷ്യവിഭവങ്ങൾ യാതൊരുവിധ കുറവുംകൂടാതെ എത്തിച്ചുകൊടുത്തിരുന്നു.

And these officers have sustained king Solomon and every one drawing near unto the table of king Solomon, each [in] his month; they let nothing be lacking.

28 രഥക്കുതിരകൾക്കും മറ്റുകുതിരകൾക്കും ആവശ്യമായ യവവും വൈക്കോലും അവരവരുടെ മുറപ്രകാരം അവ നിൽക്കുന്ന സ്ഥലങ്ങളിൽ അവർ എത്തിച്ചുകൊടുക്കുമായിരുന്നു.

And the barley and the straw, for horses and for dromedaries, they bring in unto the place where they are, each according to his ordinance.

29 ദൈവം ശലോമോന് ജ്ഞാനവും അതിമഹത്തായ ഉൾക്കാഴ്ചയും കടൽത്തീരംപോലെ പരപ്പേറിയ പരിജ്ഞാനവും പ്രദാനംചെയ്തു.

And God giveth wisdom to Solomon, and understanding, very much, and breadth of heart, as the sand that [is] on the edge of the sea;

30 സകലപൗരസ്ത്യദേശവാസികളുടെ ജ്ഞാനത്തെക്കാളും ഈജിപ്റ്റിന്റെ ജ്ഞാനത്തെക്കാളും ശലോമോന്റെ ജ്ഞാനം ശ്രേഷ്ഠതരമായിരുന്നു.

and the wisdom of Solomon is greater than the wisdom of any of the sons of the east, and than all the wisdom of Egypt;

31 സകലമനുഷ്യരെക്കാളും എസ്രാഹ്യനായ ഏഥാൻ, മാഹോലിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരായ ഹേമാൻ, കൽക്കോൽ, ദർദ എന്നിവരെക്കാളും അദ്ദേഹം കൂടുതൽ ജ്ഞാനിയായിരുന്നു. അയൽരാജ്യങ്ങളിലെല്ലാം അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ കീർത്തി വ്യാപിച്ചു.

and he is wiser than all men, than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, sons of Mahol, and his name is in all the nations round about.

32 മൂവായിരം സദൃശ്യവാക്യങ്ങളും ആയിരത്തഞ്ചു ഗീതങ്ങളും അദ്ദേഹം രചിച്ചു.

And he speaketh three thousand similes, and his songs [are] five, and the chief one;

33 ലെബാനോനിലെ ദേവദാരുമുതൽ മതിലിന്മേൽ കിളിർക്കുന്ന ഈസോപ്പുവരെയുള്ള സസ്യജാലങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചും അദ്ദേഹം പ്രതിപാദിച്ചു. മൃഗങ്ങളെയും പക്ഷികളെയും ഇഴജന്തുക്കളെയും മത്സ്യങ്ങളെയും അദ്ദേഹം പരാമർശവിഷയമാക്കി.

and he speaketh concerning the trees, from the cedar that [is] in Lebanon, even unto the hyssop that is coming out in the wall, and he speaketh concerning the cattle, and concerning the fowl, and concerning the creeping things, and concerning the fishes,

34 ശലോമോന്റെ ജ്ഞാനത്തെപ്പറ്റി കേട്ടറിഞ്ഞ സകലരാഷ്ട്രത്തലവന്മാരുടെയും അടുക്കൽനിന്ന് അനവധി സ്ഥാനപതികൾ ശലോമോന്റെ ജ്ഞാനവചനങ്ങൾ കേൾക്കാൻ എത്തിയിരുന്നു.

and there come out of all the peoples to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth who have heard of his wisdom.
