< Zabbuli 68 >

1 Ya Mukulu wa Bayimbi. Oluyimba lwa Dawudi. Katonda agolokoke, abalabe be basaasaane, n’abo abamukyawa bamudduke.
[For the Chief Musician. A Psalm by David. A song.] Let God arise. Let his enemies be scattered, and let them who hate him flee before him.
2 Ng’empewo bw’efuumuula omukka, naawe bafuumuule bw’otyo; envumbo nga bw’esaanuuka mu muliro, n’abakola ebibi bazikirire bwe batyo mu maaso ga Katonda!
As smoke is driven away, so drive them away. As wax melts before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God.
3 Naye abatuukirivu basanyuke bajagulize mu maaso ga Katonda, nga bajjudde essanyu.
But let the righteous be glad. Let them rejoice before God. Yes, let them rejoice with gladness.
4 Muyimbire Katonda, muyimbe nga mutendereza erinnya lye; mumuyimusize amaloboozi gammwe oyo atambulira mu bire. Erinnya lye ye Mukama, mujagulize mu maaso ge.
Sing to God. Sing praises to his name. Extol him who rides on the clouds: to the LORD, his name. Rejoice before him.
5 Ye Kitaawe w’abataliiko bakitaabwe, ye mukuumi wa bannamwandu; ye Katonda abeera mu kifo kye ekitukuvu.
A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.
6 Katonda afunira abatalina we babeera ekifo eky’okubeeramu, aggya abasibe mu kkomera n’abagaggawaza; naye abajeemu babeera mu bifo bikalu ddala.
God sets the lonely in families. He brings out the prisoners with singing, but the rebellious dwell in a sun-scorched land.
7 Ayi Katonda, bwe wakulembera abantu bo, n’obayisa mu ddungu,
God, when you went forth before your people, when you marched through the wilderness... (Selah)
8 ensi yakankana, eggulu ne lifukumula enkuba mu maaso ga Katonda; n’olusozi Sinaayi ne lukankana awali Katonda, Katonda wa Isirayiri!
The earth trembled. The sky also poured down rain at the presence of the God of Sinai—at the presence of God, the God of Israel.
9 Watonnyesa enkuba nnyingi ku nsi, Ayi Katonda; ensi y’obusika bwo n’ogizzaamu obugimu bwe bwali nga buggweerera;
You, God, sent a plentiful rain. You confirmed your inheritance, when it was weary.
10 abantu bo ne babeera omwo; era olw’ekisa kyo ekingi, Ayi Katonda, abaavu ne bafuna bye beetaaga okuva ku bugagga bwo.
Your congregation lived in it. You, God, prepared your goodness for the poor.
11 Mukama yalangirira; ne babunyisa ekigambo kye; baali bangi ne boogera nti:
The LORD announced the word; a great company of women proclaim the good news.
12 “Bakabaka badduse n’amaggye gaabwe; abantu ne bagabana omunyago.
"Kings of armies flee. They flee." She who waits at home divides the spoil,
13 Balabe bwe banyirira n’obugagga bwa ffeeza ne zaabu! Babikkiddwa ng’ejjuba bwe libikkibwa ebiwaawaatiro byalyo.”
while you sleep among the campfires, the wings of a dove sheathed with silver, her feathers with shining gold.
14 Ayinzabyonna yasaasaanya bakabaka, ne baba ng’omuzira bwe gugwa ku Zalumoni.
When Shaddai scattered kings in her, it snowed on Zalmon.
15 Ggwe olusozi olw’ekitiibwa, olusozi lwa Basani; ggwe olusozi olw’emitwe emingi, olusozi lwa Basani!
The mountains of Bashan are majestic mountains. The mountains of Bashan are rugged.
16 Lwaki otunuza obuggya ggwe olusozi olw’emitwe emingi? Lwaki okwatirwa obuggya olusozi Katonda lwe yalonda okufugirako? Ddala okwo Mukama kw’anaabeeranga ennaku zonna.
Why do you look in envy, you rugged mountains, at the mountain where God chooses to reign? Yes, the LORD will dwell there forever.
17 Mukama ava ku lusozi Sinaayi nga yeetooloddwa amagaali enkumi n’enkumi n’ajja mu kifo kye ekitukuvu.
The chariots of God are tens of thousands and thousands of thousands. The LORD is among them, from Sinai, in holiness.
18 Bwe walinnyalinnya olusozi, ng’abanyage bakugoberera; abantu ne bakuwa ebirabo nga ne bakyewaggula mwebali; bw’atyo Mukama Katonda n’abeeranga wamu nabo.
You have ascended on high. You have led away captives. And you gave gifts to people; but the rebellious will not dwell in the presence of God.
19 Atenderezebwe Mukama, Katonda omulokozi waffe, eyeetikka emigugu gyaffe egya buli lunaku.
Blessed be the LORD, who daily bears our burdens, even the God who is our salvation. (Selah)
20 Katonda waffe ye Katonda alokola; era tuddukira eri Mukama Katonda okuwona okufa.
God is to us a God of deliverance. To the LORD belongs escape from death.
21 Ddala, Katonda alibetenta emitwe gy’abalabe be, kubanga ne mu bukadde bwabwe balemera mu bibi byabwe.
But God will strike through the head of his enemies, the hairy scalp of such a one as still continues in his guiltiness.
22 Mukama agamba nti, “Ndibakomyawo nga mbaggya mu Basani, ndibazza nga mbaggya mu buziba bw’ennyanja,
The LORD said, "I will bring you again from Bashan, I will bring you again from the depths of the sea;
23 mulyoke munaabe ebigere byammwe mu musaayi gw’abalabe bammwe, n’embwa zammwe zeefunire ebyokulya.”
That you may crush them, dipping your foot in blood, that the tongues of your dogs may have their portion from your enemies."
24 Ekibiina kyo ky’okulembedde bakirabye, Ayi Katonda, balabye abali ne Katonda wange, era Kabaka wange, ng’otambula okugenda mu watukuvu;
They have seen your processions, God, even the processions of my God, my King, into the sanctuary.
25 abayimbi nga bakulembedde, ab’ebivuga nga bavaako emabega ne wakati waabwe nga waliwo abawala abakuba ebitaasa.
The singers went before, the minstrels followed after, in the midst of the ladies playing with tambourines,
26 Mutendereze Katonda mu kibiina ekinene; mumutendereze Mukama, mmwe abakuŋŋaanye abangi Abayisirayiri.
"Bless God in the congregations, even the LORD from the fountain of Israel."
27 Waliwo ekika kya Benyamini asinga obuto kye kikulembedde, ne kuddako ekibinja ekinene eky’abalangira ba Yuda, n’abalangira ba Zebbulooni n’abalangira ba Nafutaali.
There is little Benjamin, their ruler, the princes of Judah, their council, the princes of Zebulun, and the princes of Naphtali.
28 Laga obuyinza bwo, Ayi Katonda, otulage amaanyi go, Ayi Katonda onyweze ebyo by’otukoledde.
Your God has commanded your strength. Strengthen, God, that which you have done for us.
29 Bakabaka balikuleetera ebirabo olwa Yeekaalu yo eri mu Yerusaalemi.
Because of your temple at Jerusalem, kings shall bring presents to you.
30 Nenya ensolo enkambwe ey’omu bisaalu, eggana lya ziseddume eriri mu nnyana z’amawanga. Gikkakkanye ereete omusolo ogwa ffeeza. Osaasaanye amawanga agasanyukira entalo.
Rebuke the wild animal of the reeds, the multitude of the bulls, with the calves of the peoples. Being humbled, may it bring bars of silver. Scatter the nations that delight in war.
31 Ababaka baliva e Misiri, ne Kuusi aligondera Katonda.
Envoys shall come out of Egypt. Ethiopia shall hurry to stretch out her hands to God.
32 Muyimbire Katonda mmwe obwakabaka obw’ensi zonna. Mutendereze Mukama.
Sing to God, you kingdoms of the earth. Sing praises to the LORD. (Selah)
33 Oyo eyeebagala eggulu erya waggulu ery’edda, eddoboozi lye ery’amaanyi liwuluguma okuva mu ggulu.
To him who rides on the heaven of heavens, which are of old; look, he utters his voice, a mighty voice.
34 Mulangirire obuyinza bwa Katonda, ekitiibwa kye kibuutikidde Isirayiri; obuyinza bwe buli mu bire.
Ascribe strength to God. His excellency is over Israel, his strength is in the skies.
35 Oli wa ntiisa, Ayi Katonda, mu kifo kyo ekitukuvu. Katonda wa Isirayiri, yawa abantu obuyinza n’amaanyi. Katonda atenderezebwe.
You are awesome, God, in your sanctuaries. The God of Israel gives strength and power to his people. Praise be to God.
