Mateja Evaņg̒elijs 15
1 Tad rakstu mācītāji un farizeji no Jeruzālemes nāca pie Jēzus sacīdami:
Then some Pharisees and teachers of the Law came to Jesus, and said,
2 “Kāpēc Tavi mācekļi pārkāpj vecaju likumus? Jo tie savas rokas nemazgā, kad maizi ēd.”
‘How is it that your disciples break the traditions of our ancestors? For they do not wash their hands when they eat food.’
3 Bet Viņš atbildēja un uz tiem sacīja: “Kāpēc jūs arīdzan pārkāpjat Dieva bauslību caur saviem likumiem?
His reply was, ‘How is it that you on your side break God’s commandments out of respect for your own traditions?
4 Jo Dievs ir pavēlējis un sacījis: “Godā savu tēvu un māti!” Un: “Kas savu tēvu vai māti lād, tam būs mirt.”
For God said – “Honour your father and mother,” and “Anyone who abuses his father or mother shall suffer death,”
5 Bet jūs māciet, ja kas sakot uz tēvu vai māti: “Kas tev no manis varētu par labu nākt, tas lai ir Dievam par upuri!” tas labi darot. Tāds tiešām savu tēvu un savu māti negodās.
but you say “Whenever anyone says to his father or mother ‘Whatever of mine might have been of service to you is set apart for God,’
6 Tad jūs nu Dieva bauslību nicināt caur saviem likumiem.
he is in no way bound to honour his father.” In this way you have nullified the words of God for the sake of your traditions.
7 Jūs liekuļi, pareizi Jesaja par jums sludinājis sacīdams:
Hypocrites! It was well said by Isaiah when he prophesied about you –
8 “Šie ļaudis pie Manis turas ar savu muti un godā Mani ar savām lūpām; bet viņu sirds ir tālu no Manis nost.
“This is a people that honour me with their lips, While their hearts are far removed from me;
9 Bet velti tie Mani cienī, mācīdami mācības, kas ir cilvēku pavēles,””
but vainly do they worship me, For they teach but human precepts.”’
10 Un Viņš tos ļaudis pieaicinājis uz tiem sacīja: “Klausāties un saprotiet.
Then Jesus called the people to him, and said, ‘Listen, and mark my words.
11 Kas mutē ieiet, tas cilvēku nesagāna; bet kas no mutes iziet, tas cilvēku sagāna.”
It is not what enters a person’s mouth that defiles them, but what comes out from their mouth – that does defile them!’
12 Tad Viņa mācekļi piegājuši sacīja uz Viņu: “Vai Tu zini, ka tie farizeji, Tavus vārdus dzirdēdami, apgrēcību ņēmuši?”
His disciples came up to him, and said, ‘Do you know that the Pharisees were shocked on hearing what you said?’
13 Bet Viņš atbildēja un sacīja: “Visi dēsti, ko Mans Debesu Tēvs nav dēstījis, taps izrauti ar saknēm.
‘Every plant,’ Jesus replied, ‘that my heavenly Father has not planted will be rooted up.
14 Atstājiet no tiem; tie ir akli aklu ceļa rādītāji; bet ja akls aklam ceļu rāda, tad abi divi kritīs bedrē.”
Leave them be; they are but blind guides; and, if one blind person guides another, both of them will fall into a ditch.’
15 Tad Pēteris atbildēja un uz Viņu sacīja: “Izstāsti mums šo līdzību.”
Peter spoke up, ‘Explain this saying to us.’
16 Un Jēzus sacīja: “Vai tad ir jūs vēl esat nesaprašas?
‘What, do even you understand nothing yet?’ Jesus exclaimed.
17 Vai jūs vēl nenomanāt, ka viss, kas mutē ieiet tas noiet vēderā un top izmests caur vēderu.
‘Don’t you see that whatever goes into the mouth passes into the stomach, and is afterwards expelled?
18 Bet kas no mutes iziet, tas nāk no sirds, un tas cilvēku sagāna.
But the things that come out of the mouth proceed from the heart, and it is these that defile a person;
19 Un no sirds nāk ļaunas domas, slepkavības, laulības pārkāpšanas, maucības, zādzības, nepatiesas liecības, zaimošanas.
for out of the heart proceed evil thoughts – murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, perjury, slander.
20 Viss tas cilvēku sagāna; bet nemazgātām rokām ēst tas cilvēku nesagāna.”
These are the things that defile a person; but eating with unwashed hands does not defile a person.’
21 Un no turienes izgājis, Jēzus atkāpās pret Tirus un Sidonas robežām.
On going away from that place, Jesus went to the country round Tyre and Sidon.
22 Un redzi, viena Kanaāniešu sieva, no tām pašām robežām izgājusi, uz Viņu sauca sacīdama: “Ak Kungs, Tu Dāvida dēls, apžēlojies par mani; mana meita top no velna nežēlīgi vārdzināta.”
There, a Canaanite woman of that district came out and began calling to Jesus, ‘Take pity on me, Master, Son of David; my daughter is grievously possessed by a demon.’
23 Un Viņš tai neatbildēja neviena vārda. Un Viņa mācekļi piegājuši Viņu lūdza un sacīja: “Atlaidi to, jo tā brēc mums pakaļ.”
But Jesus did not answer her a word; and his disciples came up and begged him to send her away. ‘She keeps calling out after us,’ they said.
24 Bet Viņš atbildēja un sacīja: “Es neesmu sūtīts kā vien pie tām pazudušām avīm no Israēla cilts.”
‘I was not sent,’ replied Jesus, ‘to anyone except the lost sheep of Israel.’
25 Bet tā nāca, metās zemē priekš Viņa un sacīja: “Kungs, palīdzi man!”
But the woman came, and, bowing to the ground before him, said, ‘Master, help me.’
26 Bet Viņš atbildēja un sacīja: “Neklājās, bērniem maizi atņemt un sunīšiem mest priekšā.”
‘It is not fair,’ replied Jesus, ‘to take the children’s food and throw it to dogs.’
27 Viņa sacīja: “Tā ir gan, Kungs! Bet tomēr sunīši ēd no tām drusciņām, kas no viņu kungu galda nokrīt.”
‘Yes, Master,’ she said, ‘for even dogs do feed on the scraps that fall from their owners’ table.’
28 Tad Jēzus atbildēja un uz to sacīja: “Ak sieva, tava ticība ir liela; lai tev notiek, kā tu gribi;” un viņas meita tapa vesela tai pašā stundā.
‘Your faith is great,’ was his reply to the woman, ‘it will be as you wish!’ And her daughter was cured that very hour.
29 Un Jēzus aizgāja no turienes un nāca pie Galilejas jūras, un uzkāpa kalnā un tur apsēdās.
On leaving that place, Jesus went to the shore of the Sea of Galilee; and then went up the hill, and sat down.
30 Un daudz ļaužu atnāca pie Viņa un atveda līdz tizlus, aklus, mēmus, kropļus un daudz citus, un nometa tos Jēzum pie kājām, un Viņš tos dziedināja.
Great crowds of people came to him, bringing with them those who were lame, crippled, blind, or dumb, and many others. They put them down at his feet, and he cured them;
31 Tā ka tie ļaudis brīnījās, kad redzēja mēmus runājam, kropļus veselus, tizlus staigājam un aklus redzam, un teica Israēla Dievu.
and the crowds were astonished, when they saw the dumb talking, the cripples made sound, the lame walking about, and the blind with their sight restored; and they praised the God of Israel.
32 Un Jēzus, Savus mācekļus pie Sevis aicinājis, sacīja: “Mana sirds par tiem ļaudīm, iežēlojās, jo tie nu trīs dienas pie Manis palikuši, un tiem nav ko ēst; un Es tos negribu atlaist neēdušus, ka tie uz ceļa nenonīkst badā.”
Afterwards Jesus called his disciples to him, and said, ‘My heart is moved at the sight of all these people, for they have already been with me three days and they have nothing to eat; and I am unwilling to send them away hungry; they might faint on the way home.’
33 Un Viņa mācekļi uz To sacīja: “Kur lai ņemam šeitan tuksnesī tik daudz maizes, ka pieēdinājām tādu pulku ļaužu?”
‘Where can we,’ his disciples asked, ‘in a lonely place find enough bread for such a crowd as this?’
34 Un Jēzus uz tiem sacīja: “Cik jums maizes?” Tie sacīja: “Septiņas un maz zivtiņu.”
‘How many loaves have you?’ said Jesus. ‘Seven,’ they answered, ‘and a few small fish.’
35 Un Viņš tiem ļaudīm lika pie zemes apsēsties.
Telling the crowd to sit down on the ground,
36 Un tās septiņas maizes un tās zivis ņēmis, Viņš pateicās un pārlauza un deva Saviem mācekļiem, un tie mācekļi tiem ļaudīm.
Jesus took the seven loaves and the fish, and, after saying the thanksgiving, broke them, and gave them to the disciples; and the disciples gave them to the crowds.
37 Un tie visi ēda un paēda un salasīja no atlikušām druskām septiņus kurvjus pilnus.
Everyone had sufficient to eat, and they picked up seven baskets full of the broken pieces left.
38 Un to, kas bija ēduši, bija četrtūkstoš vīri, bez sievām un bērniem.
The men who ate were four thousand in number without counting women and children.
39 Un Viņš tos ļaudis atlaidis, kāpa laivā un nāca uz Magdaļas robežām.
Then, after dismissing the crowds, Jesus got into the boat, and went to the region of Magadan.
