< Sog̒u 4 >

The children of Israel again did that which was evil in the sight of YHWH, when Ehud was dead.
2 Tad Tas Kungs tos nodeva Jabina, Kanaāniešu ķēniņa, rokā, kas Hacorā valdīja, un viņa karaspēka virsnieks bija Siserus, un tas dzīvoja pagānu Arozetā.
YHWH sold them into the hand of Jabin king of Canaan, who reigned in Hazor; the captain of whose army was Sisera, who lived in Harosheth Haggoyim.
The children of Israel cried to YHWH: for he had nine hundred chariots of iron; and twenty years he mightily oppressed the children of Israel.
4 Un Debora, praviete, Lapidota sieva, tanī laikā Israēli tiesāja.
Now Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lappidoth, she judged Israel at that time.
She lived under the palm tree of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in the hill country of Ephraim: and the children of Israel came up to her for judgment.
She sent and called Barak the son of Abinoam out of Kedesh Naphtali, and said to him, "Hasn't YHWH, the God of Israel, commanded, 'Go and draw to Mount Tabor, and take with you ten thousand men of the people of Naphtali and of the people of Zebulun?
7 Tad Es tev pievedīšu pie Kisonas upes Siseru, Jabina karaspēka virsnieku, un viņa ratus un viņa pulku un viņu nodošu tavā rokā.
I will draw to you, to the river Kishon, Sisera, the captain of Jabin's army, with his chariots and his multitude; and I will deliver him into your hand.'"
8 Tad Baraks uz viņu sacīja: ja tu man gribi iet līdz, tad es iešu, bet ja tu negribi iet līdz, tad es neiešu.
Barak said to her, "If you will go with me, then I will go; but if you will not go with me, I will not go, for I do not know the day on which YHWH prospers his angel with me."
She said, "I will surely go with you, but know that the journey that you take will not be for your honor; for YHWH will sell Sisera into the hand of a woman." Deborah arose, and went with Barak to Kedesh.
10 Tad Baraks sasauca Ķedesā Zebulonu un Naftalu, un tur desmit tūkstoš vīri gāja viņam pakaļ, un Debora gāja līdz.
Barak called Zebulun and Naphtali together to Kedesh; and there went up ten thousand men at his feet: and Deborah went up with him.
11 (Bet Hebers, tas kenietis, bija atšķīries no Keniešiem, no Hobaba, Mozus tēvoča, bērniem, un bija uzcēlis savu dzīvokli pie tā ozola iekš Caānaīm, kas ir pie Ķedesas.)
Now Heber the Kenite had separated himself from the Kenites, even from the descendants of Hobab the brother-in-law of Moses, and had pitched his tent as far as the oak in Zaanannim, which is by Kedesh.
And it was reported to Sisera that Barak the son of Abinoam had gone up to Mount Tabor.
13 Tad Siserus sasauca pie Ķizonas upes visus savus ratus, deviņsimt dzelzs ratus, un visus ļaudis, kas pie viņa bija no pagānu Arozetas.
Sisera gathered together all his chariots, even nine hundred chariots of iron, and all the people who were with him, from Harosheth Haggoyim, to the river Kishon.
Deborah said to Barak, "Arise, for this is the day in which YHWH has delivered Sisera into your hand. Hasn't YHWH gone out before you?" So Barak went down from Mount Tabor, and ten thousand men after him.
YHWH confused Sisera, and all his chariots, and all his army, with the edge of the sword before Barak; and Sisera got off from his chariot, and fled away on his feet.
16 Un Baraks dzinās pakaļ tiem ratiem un tam karaspēkam līdz pagānu Arozetai, un viss Siserus karapulks krita caur zobena asmeni, ka neviens neatlika.
But Barak pursued after the chariots, and after the army, to Harosheth Haggoyim: and all the army of Sisera fell by the edge of the sword; there was not a man left.
However Sisera fled away on his feet to the tent of Jael the wife of Heber the Kenite; for there was peace between Jabin the king of Hazor and the house of Heber the Kenite.
18 Tad Jaēle Siserum izgāja pretī un sacīja: nāc iekšā, kungs, nāc iekšā pie manis, nebīsties; un viņš iegāja pie viņas dzīvoklī, un viņa to apsedza ar apsegu.
Jael went out to meet Sisera, and said to him, "Turn in, my lord, turn in to me; do not be afraid." He came in to her into the tent, and she covered him with a rug.
19 Un viņš uz to sacīja: dod man jel maķenīt ūdens, jo man slāpst; tad viņa attaisīja piena trauku un to dzirdīja un to apsedza.
He said to her, "Please give me a little water to drink; for I am thirsty." She opened a bottle of milk, and gave him drink, and covered him.
He said to her, "Stand in the door of the tent, and it shall be, when any man comes and inquires of you, and says, 'Is there any man here?' that you shall say, 'No.'"
21 Tad Jaēle, Hebera sieva, ņēma telts naglu un ņēma veseri savā rokā, un lēnam pie tā piegājusi, tā iedzina to naglu caur viņa deniņiem, tā ka tā iegāja zemē; bet viņš bija aizmidzis un noguris, un tā viņš nomira.
Then Jael Heber's wife took a tent peg, and took a hammer in her hand, and went softly to him, and struck the pin into his temples, and it pierced through into the ground; for he was in a deep sleep; so he died.
22 Un redzi Baraks Siserum dzinās pakaļ Tad Jaēle izgāja viņam pretī un sacīja uz viņu: nāc, tad es tev rādīšu to vīru, ko tu meklē. Tad viņš pie tās iegāja, un redzi, Siserus gulēja nomiris, un tā nagla bija viņa deniņos.
Look, as Barak pursued Sisera, Jael came out to meet him, and said to him, "Come, and I will show you the man whom you seek." He came to her; and look, Sisera lay dead, and the tent peg was in his temples.
23 Tā Dievs tai dienā pazemoja Jabinu, Kanaāniešu ķēniņu, priekš Israēla bērniem.
So God subdued on that day Jabin the king of Canaan before the children of Israel.
24 Un Israēla bērnu roka palika jo dienas grūtāka pār Jabinu, Kanaāniešu ķēniņu, kamēr tie izdeldēja Jabinu, Kanaāniešu ķēniņu.
The hand of the children of Israel prevailed more and more against Jabin the king of Canaan, until they had destroyed Jabin king of Canaan.
