1 Bet par tām sametamām dāvanām priekš tiem svētiem, kā es to esmu iecēlis Galatijas draudzēs, tāpat dariet jūs arīdzan.
With reference to the collection for Christ’s people, I want you to follow the instructions that I gave to the churches in Galatia.
2 Ikkatrā pirmā nedēļas dienā lai ikviens no jums pie sevis paša ko laba noliek un sakrāj, cik viņš paspēj, lai tās dāvanas nav jāsalasa tad tik, kad es nākšu.
On the first day of every week each of you should put by what he can afford, so that no collections need be made after I have come.
3 Un kad es nonākšu, tad tos, ko būsiet ieskatījuši par derīgiem, ar grāmatām sūtīšu, jūsu dāvanas nonest uz Jeruzālemi.
On my arrival, I will send any persons, whom you may authorise by letter, to carry your gift to Jerusalem;
4 Bet ja arīdzan būtu vērts, ka arī es tur noeju, tad tie man var nākt līdz.
and, if it appears to be worth while for me to go also, they will go with me.
5 Bet pie jums es nākšu, kad Maķedoniju būšu izstaigājis, jo es gribu iet caur Maķedoniju.
I will come to you as soon as I have been through Macedonia – for I am going through Macedonia –
6 Un var būt, ka es pie jums kādu brīdi palikšu, vai arī mitīšu par ziemu, ka jūs mani pavadiet, kurp es noiešu.
And I will probably make some stay with you or, perhaps, remain for the winter, so that you may yourselves send me on my way, wherever I may be going.
7 Jo tagad es jūs negribu redzēt tikai garām iedams, bet ceru kādu laiku pie jums palikt, ja Tas Kungs to vēlēs.
I do not propose to pay you a visit in passing now, for I hope to stay with you for some time, if the Lord permits.
8 Bet Efesū es palikšu līdz vasaras svētkiem.
I intend, however, staying at Ephesus until the Festival at the close of the Harvest;
9 Jo man lielas un plašas durvis ir atvērtas, un pretinieku ir daudz.
for a great opening for active work has presented itself, and there are many opponents.
10 Un kad Timotejs nāk, tad pielūkojiet, ka tas pie jums ir bez bailēm; jo viņš strādā Tā Kunga darbu, tāpat kā es.
If Timothy comes, take care that he has no cause for feeling anxious while he is with you. He is doing the Master’s work no less than I am.
11 Tāpēc lai neviens viņu nenicina; bet pavadiet viņu ar mieru, lai tas nāk pie manis, jo es viņu gaidu ar tiem brāļiem.
No one, therefore, should slight him. See him safely on his way to me, for I am expecting him with some of our friends.
12 Bet brāli Apollu es dažkārt esmu skubinājis, lai ar tiem brāļiem pie jums noiet, bet viņam prāts pavisam nebija tagad iet, bet tomēr tas ies, kad tam būs izdevīgs laiks.
As for our friend Apollos, I have often urged him to go to you with the others. He has, however, been very unwilling to do so as yet; but he will go as soon as he finds a good opportunity.
13 Esiet modrīgi, stāviet ticībā, turaties kā vīri, esiet stipri.
Be watchful; stand firm in your faith; be brave; be strong.
14 Viss pie jums lai notiek iekš mīlestības.
Let everything you do be done in a loving spirit.
15 Un es jūs lūdzu, brāļi: jūs zināt Stefana namu, ka tie ir tie pirmie no Akajas, un ka tie ir nodevušies tiem svētiem uz kalpošanu:
I have another request to make of you, friends. You remember Stephanas and his household, and that they were the first-fruits gathered in from Greece, and set themselves to serve Christ’s people.
16 Ka arī jūs tiem tādiem paklausiet un ikkatram, kas līdzi strādā un pūlējās.
I want you, on your part, to show deference to such people as these, as well as to every fellow labourer and earnest worker.
17 Bet es priecājos par Stefana un Fortunata un Akaīka atnākšanu, jo kad jūs pie manis neesat, tad šie ir pie manis jūsu vietā.
I am glad Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus have come, for they have made up for your absence;
18 Jo tie atspirdzinājuši manu un jūsu garu; tāpēc atzīstiet tos par tādiem.
they have cheered my heart, and your hearts also. Recognise the worth of such people as these.
19 Āzijas draudzes jūs sveicina: Aķila un Prisķila ar to draudzi, kas viņu namā, jūs daudz sveicina iekš Tā Kunga.
The churches in Roman Asia send you their greetings. Aquila and Prisca and the church that meets at their house send you many Christian greetings.
20 Visi brāļi jūs sveicina. Sveicināties savā starpā ar svētu skūpstīšanu.
All of the Lord’s followers send you greetings. Greet one another with a sacred kiss.
21 Es Pāvils, jūs sveicināju, es ar savu pašu roku.

22 Ja kas nemīl To Kungu Jēzu Kristu, tas lai ir nolādēts; Maran ata (Tas Kungs nāk)!
Accursed be anyone who has no love for the Lord. THE LORD IS COMING.
23 Tā Kunga Jēzus Kristus žēlastība lai ir ar jums.
May the blessing of the Lord Jesus be with you.
