< Psalmorum 20 >

1 In finem, Psalmus David.
[For the Chief Musician. A Psalm by David.] May the LORD answer you in the day of trouble. May the name of the God of Jacob set you up on high.
He will send you help from the sanctuary, and give you support from Zion.
He will remember all your offerings, and accept your burnt sacrifice. (Selah)
4 Tribuat tibi secundum cor tuum: et omne consilium tuum confirmet.
He will grant you your heart's desire, and fulfill all your plans.
5 Lætabimur in salutari tuo: et in nomine Dei nostri magnificabimur.
We will triumph in your salvation. In the name of our God, we will set up our banners. May the LORD grant all your requests.
6 Impleat Dominus omnes petitiones tuas: nunc cognovi quoniam salvum fecit Dominus CHRISTUM suum.
Now I know that the LORD saves his anointed. He will answer him from his holy heaven, with a mighty act of deliverance by his right hand.
7 Hi in curribus, et hi in equis: nos autem in nomine Domini Dei nostri invocabimus.
Some [trust] in chariots, and some in horses, but we trust the name of the LORD our God.
They are bowed down and fallen, but we rise up, and stand upright.
Save, LORD. Let the King answer us when we call.
