مەتا 1

1 ئەمە ڕەچەڵەکی عیسای مەسیحە، کوڕی داود، کوڕی ئیبراهیم:

The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.

2 ئیبراهیم باوکی ئیسحاق بوو، ئیسحاق باوکی یاقوب بوو، یاقوب باوکی یەهودا و براکانی بوو،

Abraham was the father of Isaac; and Isaac was the father of Jacob; and Jacob was the father of Judas and his brothers;

3 یەهودا باوکی پێرێز و زەرەح بوو کە تامار دایکیان بوو، پێرێز باوکی حەسرۆن بوو، حەسرۆن باوکی ڕام بوو،

And Judas was the father of Phares and Zara of Thamar; and Phares was the father of Esrom; and Esrom was the father of Aram;

4 ڕام باوکی عەمیناداب بوو، عەمیناداب باوکی نەحشۆن بوو، نەحشۆن باوکی سەلمۆن بوو،

And Aram was the father of Aminadab; and Aminadab was the father of Naasson; and Naasson was the father of Salmon;

5 سەلمۆن باوکی بۆعەز بوو کە ڕاحاب دایکی بوو، بۆعەز باوکی عوبێد بوو کە ڕائووس دایکی بوو، عوبێد باوکی یەسا بوو،

And Salmon was the father of Booz of Rachab; and Booz was the father of Obed of Ruth; and Obed was the father of Jesse;

6 یەسا باوکی داودی پاشا بوو. داود باوکی سلێمان بوو لەو ژنەی کە پێشتر ژنی ئوریا بوو،

And Jesse was the father of David the king; and David the king was the father of Solomon of her that had been the wife of Urias;

7 سلێمان باوکی ڕەحەڤەعام بوو، ڕەحەڤەعام باوکی ئەبیا بوو، ئەبیا باوکی ئاسا بوو،

And Solomon was the father of Roboam; and Roboam was the father of Abia; and Abia was the father of Asa;

8 ئاسا باوکی یەهۆشافات بوو، یەهۆشافات باوکی یەهۆرام بوو، یەهۆرام باوکی عوزیا بوو،

And Asa was the father of Josaphat; and Josaphat was the father of Joram; and Joram was the father of Ozias;

9 عوزیا باوکی یۆتام بوو، یۆتام باوکی ئاحاز بوو، ئاحاز باوکی حەزقیا بوو،

And Ozias was the father of Joatham; and Joatham was the father of Achaz; and Achaz was the father of Ezekias;

10 حەزقیا باوکی مەنەشە بوو، مەنەشە باوکی ئامۆن بوو، ئامۆن باوکی یۆشیا بوو،

And Ezekias was the father of Manasses; and Manasses was the father of Amon; and Amon was the father of Josias;

11 یۆشیا باوکی یەهۆیاکین و براکانی بوو، لە کاتی ڕاپێچکردنەکە بۆ بابل.

And Josias was the father of Jechonias and his brothers, about the time they were carried away to Babylon:

12 لەدوای ڕاپێچکردنەکە بۆ بابل، یەهۆیاکین باوکی شەئەلتیێل بوو، شەئەلتیێل باوکی زروبابل بوو،

And after they were brought to Babylon, Jechonias was the father of Salathiel; and Salathiel was the father of Zorobabel;

13 زروبابل باوکی ئەبیهود بوو، ئەبیهود باوکی ئەلیاقیم بوو، ئەلیاقیم باوکی ئازور بوو،

And Zorobabel was the father of Abiud; and Abiud was the father of Eliakim; and Eliakim was the father of Azor;

14 ئازور باوکی سادۆق بوو، سادۆق باوکی ئەکیم بوو، ئەکیم باوکی ئەلیهود بوو،

And Azor was the father of Sadoc; and Sadoc was the father of Achim; and Achim was the father of Eliud;

15 ئەلیهود باوکی ئەلعازار بوو، ئەلعازار باوکی مەتان بوو، مەتان باوکی یاقوب بوو،

And Eliud was the father of Eleazar; and Eleazar was the father of Matthan; and Matthan was the father of Jacob;

16 یاقوب باوکی یوسفی مێردی مریەم بوو، ئەوەی عیسای لێبوو، کە بە مەسیح ناودەبردرێت.

And Jacob was the father of Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.

17 بەم شێوەیە هەموو نەوەکان لە ئیبراهیمەوە هەتا داود چواردە نەوەن، لە داودەوە هەتا ڕاپێچکردنەکە بۆ بابل چواردە نەوەن، لە ڕاپێچکردنەکەشەوە بۆ بابل هەتا مەسیح چواردە نەوەن.

So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon to Christ are fourteen generations.

18 لەدایکبوونی عیسای مەسیح بەم شێوەیە بوو: کاتێک مریەمی دایکی دەستگیرانی یوسف بوو، پێش ئەوەی بگوازرێتەوە، دەرکەوت کە بەهۆی ڕۆحی پیرۆزەوە سکی پڕبووە.

Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.

19 یوسفی دەستگیرانی کە پیاوێکی چاک بوو، نەیویست ئابڕووی ببات، بڕیاری دا بە نهێنی دەستی لێ هەڵبگرێت.

Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privately.

20 کاتێک بیری لەم شتانە دەکردەوە، فریشتەیەکی یەزدان هاتە خەونی و پێی فەرموو: «ئەی یوسفی نەوەی داود، مەترسە لەوەی مریەم بهێنیت، چونکە ئەوەی ئەو سکی پێی هەیە لە ڕۆحی پیرۆزە.

But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the LORD appeared to him in a dream, saying, Joseph, you son of David, fear not to take to you Mary your wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.

21 کوڕێکی دەبێت ناوی دەنێیت عیسا، چونکە گەلەکەی لە گوناهەکانیان ڕزگار دەکات.»

And she shall bring forth a son, and you shall call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

22 ئەمانە هەمووی ڕوویدا تاکو ئەوەی یەزدان لە ڕێگەی پێغەمبەرەکە فەرموویەتی بێتە دی:

Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,

23 [ئەوەتا پاکیزەیەک سکی دەبێت و کوڕێکی دەبێت، ناوی لێ دەنێن ئیمانوێل،] کە بە واتای خودا لەگەڵمانە دێت.

Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

24 کاتێک یوسف لە خەو هەستا، ئەوەی فریشتەکەی یەزدان فەرمانی پێدابوو ئەنجامی دا و ژنەکەی گواستەوە.

Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took to him his wife:

25 بەڵام هەتا کوڕەکەی نەبوو لەگەڵی جووت نەبوو، ئینجا ناوی لێنا عیسا.

And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.
