یەکەم ساموئێل 16

1 جا یەزدان بە ساموئێلی فەرموو: «هەتا کەی شیوەن بۆ شاول دەگێڕیت، چونکە من ڕەتم کردووەتەوە پاشای ئیسرائیل بێت؟ قۆچەکەت پڕ بکە لە زەیت و بڕۆ، دەتنێرم بۆ لای یەسای بێت‌لەحمی، لەنێو کوڕەکانیدا پاشایەکم بۆ خۆم هەڵبژاردووە.»

And YHWH said unto Samuel, How long wilt thou mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? fill thine horn with oil, and go, I will send thee to Jesse the Bethlehemite: for I have provided me a king among his sons.

2 ساموئێلیش گوتی: «چۆن بڕۆم؟ ئەگەر شاول ئەمە ببیستێتەوە دەمکوژێت.» یەزدانیش فەرمووی: «گوێرەکەیەکی مێینەی سێ ساڵە لەگەڵ دەستت دەبەیت و دەڵێیت:”بۆ قوربانی سەربڕین بۆ یەزدان هاتووم.“

And Samuel said, How can I go? if Saul hear it, he Will kill me. And YHWH said, Take an heifer with thee, and say, I am come to sacrifice to YHWH.

3 جا یەسا بۆ قوربانییە سەربڕدراوەکە بانگهێشت دەکەیت و من فێرت دەکەم چی بکەیت و ئەو کەسەم بۆ دەستنیشان دەکەیت کە پێت دەفەرمووم.»

And call Jesse to the sacrifice, and I will shew thee what thou shalt do: and thou shalt anoint unto me him whom I name unto thee.

4 ساموئێل ئەوەی کرد کە یەزدان پێی فەرموو، هات بۆ بێت‌لەحم و پیرانی شارۆچکەکە بە ترسەوە پێشوازییان کرد و گوتیان: «بە ئاشتی هاتوویت؟»

And Samuel did that which YHWH spake, and came to Bethlehem. And the elders of the town trembled at his coming, and said, Comest thou peaceably?

5 ساموئێلیش وەڵامی دایەوە: «بە ئاشتییە، هاتووم بۆ سەربڕینی قوربانی بۆ یەزدان، خۆتان تەرخان بکەن و لەگەڵمدا وەرن بۆ قوربانییەکە.» ئینجا یەسا و کوڕەکانی تەرخان کرد و بۆ قوربانییەکە بانگهێشتی کردن.

And he said, Peaceably: I am come to sacrifice unto YHWH: sanctify yourselves, and come with me to the sacrifice. And he sanctified Jesse and his sons, and called them to the sacrifice.

6 کاتێک هاتن، ساموئێل تەماشای ئەلیابی کرد و لەبەرخۆیەوە گوتی: «بە دڵنیاییەوە ئەوەیە یەزدان دەستنیشانی کردووە، لەبەردەمیەتی.»

And it came to pass, when they were come, that he looked on Eliab, and said, Surely YHWH 's anointed is before him.

7 بەڵام یەزدان بە ساموئێلی فەرموو: «تەماشای ڕوخسار و باڵای مەکە، چونکە ڕەتم کردووەتەوە. یەزدان وەک مرۆڤ تەماشا ناکات، چونکە مرۆڤ تەماشای ڕوخسار دەکات، بەڵام یەزدان تەماشای دڵ دەکات.»

But YHWH said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for YHWH seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but YHWH looketh on the heart.

8 دوای ئەوەی یەسا ئەبینادابی بانگکرد و بە بەردەم ساموئێلدا تێپەڕی کرد، ساموئێلیش گوتی: «یەزدان ئەمەشی هەڵنەبژاردووە.»

Then Jesse called Abinadab, and made him pass before Samuel. And he said, Neither hath YHWH chosen this.

9 ئینجا یەسا شەممای تێپەڕاند و ساموئێلیش گوتی: «یەزدان ئەمەشی هەڵنەبژاردووە.»

Then Jesse made Shammah to pass by. And he said, Neither hath YHWH chosen this.

10 یەسا هەر حەوت کوڕەکەی لەبەردەم ساموئێلدا تێپەڕاند. ساموئێلیش بە یەسای گوت: «یەزدان لەمانەی هەڵنەبژاردووە.»

Again, Jesse made seven of his sons to pass before Samuel. And Samuel said unto Jesse, YHWH hath not chosen these.

11 لە یەسای پرسی: «ئایا هەموو کوڕەکانت لێرەن؟» ئەویش گوتی: «بچووکترینیان هێشتا ماوە و مەڕ دەلەوەڕێنێت.» ساموئێلیش گوتی: «بنێرە بەدوایدا و بیهێنە، چونکە دانانیشین هەتا ئەو دێتە ئێرە.»

And Samuel said unto Jesse, Are here all thy children? And he said, There remaineth yet the youngest, and, behold, he keepeth the sheep. And Samuel said unto Jesse, Send and fetch him: for we will not sit down till he come hither.

12 ئەویش بەدوایدا ناردی و هێنای، سوورەیەکی چاوجوانی قۆز بوو. ئینجا یەزدان فەرمووی: «هەستە و دەستنیشانی بکە، چونکە ئەمە خۆیەتی.»

And he sent, and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, and withal of a beautiful countenance, and goodly to look to. And YHWH said, Arise, anoint him: for this is he.

13 ساموئێل قۆچە زەیتەکەی برد و لەنێو براکانیدا دەستنیشانی کرد و لەو ڕۆژە بەدواوە ڕۆحی یەزدان بە تواناوە هاتە سەر داود. پاشان ساموئێل هەستا و چوو بۆ ڕامە.

Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of YHWH came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah.

14 ڕۆحی یەزدانیش لە شاول جیا بووەوە و بە فەرمانی یەزدان ڕۆحێکی بەد هەراسانی کرد.

But the Spirit of YHWH departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from YHWH troubled him.

15 جا خزمەتکارەکانی شاول پێیان گوت: «ئەوەتا ئێستا ڕۆحێکی بەد لەلایەن خوداوە هەراسانت دەکات.

And Saul's servants said unto him, Behold now, an evil spirit from Elohim troubleth thee.

16 با ئێستا گەورەمان فەرمان بە خزمەتکارەکانی بەردەمی بکات بەدوای پیاوێکدا بگەڕێن کە شارەزایی لە قیسارە ژەنین هەبێت، جا هەر کاتێک ئەو ڕۆحە بەدەی لەلایەن خوداوەیە بێتە سەرت، قیسارە بژەنێت تۆ باش دەبیت.»

Let ourmaster now command thy servants, which are before thee, to seek out a man, who is a cunning player on an harp: and it shall come to pass, when the evil spirit from Elohim is upon thee, that he shall play with his hand, and thou shalt be well.

17 شاولیش بە خزمەتکارەکانی گوت: «ئێستا پیاوێکم بۆ ببیننەوە قیسارە بە چاکی بژەنێت و بۆ منی بهێنن.»

And Saul said unto his servants, Provide me now a man that can play well, and bring him to me.

18 جا یەکێک لە خزمەتکارەکان وەڵامی دایەوە و گوتی: «کوڕێکی یەسای بێت‌لەحمیم بینیوە، دەزانێت قیسارە بژەنێت. هەروەها قارەمانێکی بەهێزە و جەنگاوەرە، زمان ڕەوانە و پیاوێکی قۆزە، یەزدانیشی لەگەڵدایە.»

Then answered one of the servants, and said, Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, that is cunning in playing, and a mighty valiant man, and a man of war, and prudent in matters, and a comely person, and YHWH is with him.

19 شاولیش نێردراوی بۆ لای یەسا نارد و گوتی: «داودی کوڕتم بۆ بنێرە، ئەوەی مەڕ دەلەوەڕێنێت.»

Wherefore Saul sent messengers unto Jesse, and said, Send me David thy son, which is with the sheep.

20 یەساش گوێدرێژێکی هێنا، نان و مەشکەیەک شەراب و کارەبزنێکی لێ بارکرد، بە دەستی داودی کوڕیدا بۆ شاولی نارد.

And Jesse took an ass laden with bread, and a bottle of wine, and a kid, and sent them by David his son unto Saul.

21 ئیتر داود هاتە لای شاول و دەستی بە خزمەتکردنی کرد. شاولیش داودی زۆر خۆشویست و کردییە یەکێک لە هەڵگری تفاقەکانی.

And David came to Saul, and stood before him: and he loved him greatly; and he became his armourbearer.

22 شاول بۆ یەسای نارد و گوتی: «تکایە با داود لە خزمەتی مندا بمێنێتەوە، چونکە لەلام پەسەندە.»

And Saul sent to Jesse, saying, Let David, I pray thee, stand before me; for he hath found favour in my sight.

23 هەر کاتێک ڕۆحەکە لەلایەن خوداوە بۆ سەر شاول دەهات، داود قیسارەکەی بەدەستەوە دەگرت و دەیژەند، شاولیش دڵی دەکرایەوە و باش دەبوو، ڕۆحە بەدەکە وازی لێ دەهێنا.

And it came to pass, when the evil spirit from Elohim was upon Saul, that David took an harp, and played with his hand: so Saul was refreshed, and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him.
