1 Mwet lili ac lulu luk, ke insiuk nufon, nga kena ma lulap tuh mwet srahk fah ku in eis molela sin God! Ac nga arulana pre nu sin God kaclos!
Brothers, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for my People is for their Salvation.
2 Nga ku in fahk lah elos arulana sang insialos nu sin God; tusruktu moniyuk lalos tia oakwuk ke etauk pwaye.
I can testify that they are zealous for the honour of God; but they are not guided by true insight,
3 Elos tia etu ouiya ma God El aksuwosye mwet uh nu sel kac, a elos srike in oakiya ouiya lalos sifacna. Ouinge elos tia eisalosyang nu ke inkanek ma God El orekmakin in aksuwosye mwet uh nu ye mutal.
for, in their ignorance of the Divine Righteousness, and in their eagerness to set up a righteousness of their own, they refused to accept with submission the Divine Righteousness.
4 Tuh Christ el aksafyela ku lun Ma Sap, ouinge mwet nukewa su lulalfongi elos aksuwosyeyukla ye mutun God.
For Christ has brought Law to an end, so that righteousness may be obtained by every one who believes in him.
5 Moses el simusla kas inge ke ma mwet uh enenu in oru tuh elos in suwohs ye mutun God. El fahk mu, “Kutena mwet su akos ma sapkinyuk in Ma Sap fah moul.”
For Moses writes that, as for the righteousness which results from Law, ‘those who practice it will find Life through it.’
6 Tusruktu, pa inge ma simla in Ma Simusla ke ouiyen aksuwosyeyukla ke sripen lulalfongi: “Kom fah tia siyuk sum sifacna, Su fah utyak nu in kusrao?” (su kalmac pa siyuk tuh Christ elan oatui).
But the righteousness which results from faith finds expression in these words — ‘Do not say to yourself “Who will go up into heaven?”’ — which means to bring Christ down —
7 “Kom fah tia pac siyuk, Su fah oatula nu yen laollana ye faclu?” (su kalmac pa in usalak Christ liki misa). (Abyssos g12)
‘or “Who will go down into the depths below?”’ — which means to bring Christ up from the dead. (Abyssos g12)
8 Na pa inge ma fwack uh: “Mwe fahkak lun God apkuran nu sum, in oalum ac oan insiom” — aok, pa inge kas ke lulalfongi ma kut luti kac uh.
No, but what does it say? ‘The Message of Faith’ which we proclaim.
9 Kom fin fahkak lemtulauk lah Jesus el Leum, ac lulalfongi ku lah God El akmoulyalak liki misa, kom ac fah moulla.
For, if with your lips you acknowledge the truth of the Message that JESUS IS LORD, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you shall be saved.
10 Tuh ke lulalfongi lasr kut aksuwosyeyuk yurin God, ac kut eis moul ke sripen fahkak lasr.
For with their hearts men believe and so attain to righteousness, while with their lips they make their Profession of Faith and so find Salvation.
11 Ma Simusla uh fahk mu, “El su lulalfongi in el, fah tiana toasrla.”
As the passage of Scripture says — ‘No one who believes in him shall have any cause for shame.’
12 Kas inge ma nu sin mwet nukewa, mweyen wangin ekla inmasrlon mwet Jew ac mwet sayen mwet Jew. God sefanna El Leum lun mwet nukewa, ac El arulana akinsewowoyalos nukewa su pre nu sel.
For no distinction is made between the Jew and the Greek, for all have the same Lord, and he is bountiful to all who invoke him.
13 Oana Ma Simusla uh fahk, “Elos nukewa su pang nu sin Leum fah moliyukla.”
For ‘every one who invokes the Name of the Lord shall be saved.’
14 Tusruktu elos ac pang nu sel fuka elos fin tia lulalfongi in el? Ac elos ac lulalfongel fuka elos fin tia lohng mwe luti kacl? Ac elos ac lohng mwe luti fuka fin wangin mwet fahkak nu selos?
But how, it may be asked, are they to invoke one in whom they have not learned to believe? And how are they to believe in one whose words they have not heard? And how are they to hear his words unless some one proclaims him?
15 Ac mwe fahkak ac sulkakinyuk fuka fin tia supweyukla mwet in sulkakin? Oana na ke Ma Simusla uh fahk, “Fuka woiyen tuku lun mwet su us pweng wo uh?”
And how are men to proclaim him unless they are sent as his messengers? As Scripture says — ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!’
16 Tusruktu tia mwet nukewa eis Pweng Wo. Isaiah sifacna el fahk, “Leum, su lulalfongi mwe fahkak lasr uh?”
Still, it may be said, every one did not give heed to the Good News. No, for Isaiah asks — ‘Lord, who has believed our teaching?’
17 Ke ma inge, mwet uh elos lulalfongi ke elos lohng mwe fahkak, ac mwe fahkak uh pa kas in luti ke Christ.
And so we gather, faith is a result of teaching, and the teaching comes in the Message of Christ.
18 Inge nga siyuk: Ya pwaye lah elos tiana lohng kas ma fwackyak ah? Aok, elos lohng — tuh oana Ma Simusla fahk: “Pusralos fahsrelik nu fin faclu nufon; Kas lalos sun saflaiyen faclu.”
But I ask ‘Is it possible that men have never heard?’ No, indeed, for — ‘Their voices spread through all the earth, and their Message to the very ends of the world.’
19 Nga sifilpa siyuk: Ku mwet Israel elos tia kalem? Mwet se oemeet in topuk pa Moses sifacna, su fahk: “Nga fah orekmakin sie mutunfacl lusrongten In oru mwet luk in sok; Ac ke sie mutunfacl lalfon Nga fah oru mwet luk in kasrkusrak.”
But again I ask ‘Did not the people of Israel understand? First there is Moses, who says — ‘I, the Lord, will stir you to rivalry with a nation which is no nation; Against an undiscerning nation I will arouse your anger.’
20 Ac Isaiah el arulana pulaik ke el fahk mu, “Elos su tia sukyu elos koneyuyak; Nga sikyang nu selos su tia siyuk keik.”
And Isaiah says boldly — ‘I was found by those who were not seeking me; I made myself known to those who were not inquiring of me.
21 A funu ke mwet Israel, Isaiah el fahk, “Nga asroela pouk len fon in paing mwet su likkeke ac seakos.”
But of the people of Israel he says — ‘All day long I have stretched out my hands to a people who disobey and contradict.’
