< Luke 7 >

For I also am a man placed under authority, having under myself soldiers. I tell this one, ‘Go!’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come!’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”
9 Jesus el lut ke el lohng ma inge, na el forla ac fahk nu sin u lulap se ma fahsr tokol, “Nga fahk nu suwos, nga soenna liye lupan lulalfongi ouinge meet, finne in Israel!”
When Yeshua [Salvation] heard these things, he marveled at him, and turned and said to the multitude who followed him, “I tell you, I have not found such great trusting faith, no, not in Israel [God prevails].”
10 Mwet utuk kas uh folokla nu in lohm sin leum sac, ac konauk lah mwet kulansap sac kwela.
Those who were sent, teshuvah ·completely returning· to the house, found that the servant who had been sick was well.

This report went out concerning him in the whole of Judea [Praise], and in all the surrounding region.

The disciples of John [Yah is gracious] told him about all these things.

John [Yah is gracious], calling to himself two of his disciples, sent them to Yeshua [Salvation], saying, “Are you the one who is coming, or should we look for another?”
20 Ke eltal tuku nu yurin Jesus, eltal fahk, “John Baptais el supwekut in tuh siyuk lah kom pa el su ac fah tuku, ku kut ac soano sie pacna?”
When the men had come to him, they said, “John [Yah is gracious] the Immerser has sent us to you, saying, ‘Are you he who comes, or should we look for another?’”
21 In pacl sacna pus tari mwet ma Jesus el akkeyala liki kain in mas puspis lalos, sisla ngun fohkfok in elos, ac sang liyaten nu sin mwet kun.
In that hour he cured many of diseases and plagues and evil spirits; and to many who were blind he gave sight.

Yeshua [Salvation] answered them, “Go and tell John [Yah is gracious] the things which you have seen and heard: that the blind receive their sight, the lame walk, the people afflicted with tzara'at ·leprosy· are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have good news preached to them.
23 Fuka lupan insewowo lalos su tia alolo keik!”
Blessed is he who finds no occasion for stumbling in me.”
24 Tukun mwet lal John folokla, Jesus el mutawauk in sramsram kacl John nu sin u lulap sac, ac fahk, “Ke kowos tuh som nu yorol John nu yen mwesis ah, mea kowos tuh finsrak mu kowos ac tuh liye? Ya soko ah ma kusrusrsrusr ke eng uh?
When John [Yah is gracious]’s messengers had departed, he began to tell the multitudes about John [Yah is gracious], “What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind?

27 Mweyen John pa mwet se Ma Simusla uh fahk kacl mu: ‘Nga ac supwaot mwet in sulkakin se luk meet liki kom, in tuh sakunla inkanek lom uh.’”
This is he of whom it is written, ‘Behold, I send my messenger before your face, who will prepare your way before you.’
“For I tell you, among those who are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John [Yah is gracious] the Immerser, yet he who is least in God’s Kingdom is greater than he.”
29 Mwet nukewa, oayapa mwet eisani tax uh, elos lohng ma inge ac akilen suwoswos lun God ke sripen elos baptaisla sel John.
When all the people and the tax collectors heard this, they declared God to be just, having been baptized with John [Yah is gracious]’s baptism.
30 Tusruktu mwet Pharisee ac mwet luti Ma Sap elos pilesru oakwuk lun God nu selos, ac tiana lungse baptaisla sel John.
But the Pharisees [Separated] and the lawyers rejected the counsel of God, not being baptized by him themselves.
31 Ac Jesus el sifilpa fahk, “Inge, mea nga ac ku in luma mwet in pacl inge uh nu kac uh? Elos oana mea?
“To what then will I liken the people of this generation? What are they like?
32 Elos oana tulik srisrik su muta ke nien kuka. Kut yuk on in asor, a komtal tiana tung!’
They are like children who sit in the marketplace, and call to one another, saying, ‘We piped to you, and you didn’t dance. We mourned, and you didn’t weep.’
33 Ke John Baptais el tuh tuku, el lalo ac tia nim wain, ac kowos fahk, ‘Oasr ngun fohkfok in el!’
For John [Yah is gracious] the Immerser came neither eating bread nor drinking wine, and you say, ‘He has a demon.’

35 Tusruktu lalmwetmet lun God uh akkalemyeyuk in moul lun mwet nukewa su moulkin.”
Wisdom is justified by all her children.”
36 Sie mwet Pharisee solal Jesus elan welul mongo in eku, na Jesus el som nu lohm sel ac pituki in mongo.
One of the Pharisees [Separated] invited him to eat with him. He entered into the Pharisee [Separated]’s house, and sat at the table.

Behold, a woman in the city who was a sinner, when she knew that he was reclining in the Pharisee [Separated]’s house, she brought an alabaster jar of ointment.
38 Na el tu sisken nial Jesus ac tung, ac el mutawauk in aksroksrokye nial ke sroninmutal. Na el eela nien Jesus ke aunsifal, ngokya nial, ac mosrwela ke ono keng sac.
Standing behind at his feet weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears, and she wiped them with the hair of her head, kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.
Now when the Pharisee [Separated] who had invited him saw it, he said to himself, “This man, if he were a prophet, would have perceived who and what kind of woman this is who touches him, that she is a sinner.”
40 Jesus el kasla ac fahk nu sel, “Simon, oasr ma nga lungse fahk nu sum.” Na Simon el fahk, “Kwal, Mwet Luti, fahkma.”
Yeshua [Salvation] answered him, “Simeon [Hearing], I have something to tell you.” He said, “Teacher, say on.”
“A certain lender had two debtors. The one owed five hundred denarii (500 days wages), and the other fifty denarii (50 days wages).
42 Kewana mwet luo ah tia ku in akfalye ma el soemoul kac, na mwet liyaung mani sac el tari sisla soemoul laltal ah kewa. Ke ouinge, su kac seltal ac lungse mukul sac yohk uh?”
When they couldn’t pay, he forgave them both. Which of them therefore will show agapao ·total devotion love· to him most?”
Na Jesus el fahk, “Fal fahk lom an.”
Simeon [Hearing] answered, “He, I suppose, to whom he forgave the most.” He said to him, “You have judged correctly.”
Nga utyak nu in lohm sum ac wangin kof kom ase in ohlla niuk, a mutan se inge el ohlla niuk ke sroninmutal ac akpaoyela ke aunsifal.
Turning to the woman, he said to Simeon [Hearing], “Do you see this woman? I entered into your house, and you gave me no water for my feet, but she has wet my feet with her tears, and wiped them with the hair of her head.
45 Kom tia pac paingyu ke angokmwet, a mutan se inge el tia tui in ngok niuk oe ke nga utyak ah me.
You gave me no kiss, but she, since the time I came in, has not ceased to kiss my feet.
46 Kom tia mosrwela sifuk ke oil in olive, a mutan se inge el mosrwela nufon niuk ke ono keng.
You didn’t anoint my head with oil, but she has anointed my feet with ointment.

Therefore I tell you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she showed agapao ·totally devoted love· much. But to whom little is forgiven, the same shows little agapao ·totally devoted love·.”
He said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.”
49 Mwet saya ma wi muta ke tepu sac sifacna nunku insialos, “Su mwet se inge, ku elan nunak munas ke ma koluk uh?”
Those who sat at the table with him began to say to themselves, “Who is this who even forgives sins?”
Som in misla.”
He said to the woman, “Your trusting faith has saved you. Go in peace.”
