< Job 21 >

1 Na Job el fahk,
Then Job made answer and said,
2 “Porongo ma nga fahk uh; Pwayena ma nga siyuk komtal in akwoyeyu kac.
Give attention with care to my words; and let this be your comfort.
3 Fuhlema kitin pacl luk in kaskas, ac nga fin tari, Na komtal ku in isrunyu, komtal fin lungse.
Let me say what is in my mind, and after that, go on making sport of me.
4 “Alein luk uh tia ma in lain mwet; Oasr sripen semuteng luk uh.
As for me, is my outcry against man? is it then to be wondered at if my spirit is troubled?
5 Ngetma liyeyu. Ya lumuk tia fal In oru komtal in lut ac kofla kaskas ke komtal suiyuwi uh?
Take note of me and be full of wonder, put your hand on your mouth.
6 Ke nga nunku ma sikyak nu sik uh, Nga arulana oela, ac rarak ke sangeng.
At the very thought of it my flesh is shaking with fear.
7 “Efu ku God El lela mwet koluk uh in moul, Nwe ke na elos matuoh, ac wona nu selos?
Why is life given to the evil-doers? why do they become old and strong in power?
8 Oasr tulik natulos ac nutin natulos, Ac elos moulna muta nwe ke na elos liye ke tulik inge matula uh.
Their children are ever with them, and their offspring before their eyes.
9 God El tiana sang ongoiya nu ke lohm selos uh; Ac elos tia wi pula mwe aksangeng uh.
Their houses are free from fear, and the rod of God does not come on them.
10 Aok, cow mukul natulos orek fahko, wo ouiya pacl nukewa, Ac cow mutan uh oswela ma natulos wanginna ma misa.
Their ox is ready at all times to give seed; their cow gives birth, without dropping her young.
11 Tulik natulos uh kasrusrsrusr na srital oana sheep fusr uh,
They send out their young ones like a flock, and their children have pleasure in the dance,
12 Ac onsrosro nu ke pusren mwe on harp ac flute.
They make songs to the instruments of music, and are glad at the sound of the pipe.
13 Elos moul ke moul na misla Ac pacl in misa lalos uh, elos ac misa na in misla ac tiana keok. (Sheol h7585)
Their days come to an end without trouble, and suddenly they go down to the underworld. (Sheol h7585)
14 “Mwet koluk uh fahk nu sin God, ‘Fahsr liki kut! Mansis kut in tia etu ma kom lungse.
Though they said to God, Go away from us, for we have no desire for the knowledge of your ways.
15 Su Ku liki Ku inge tuh kut in orekma nu sel? Mea, ac oasr ma wo nu sesr kut fin pre nu sel?’
What is the Ruler of all, that we may give him worship? and what profit is it to us to make prayer to him?
16 Elos fahk mu wo ouiya lalos uh ma na ke ku lalos sifacna, Tusruktu nga tia ku in insese nu ke luman nunak lalos inge.
Truly, is not their well-being in their power? (The purpose of the evil-doers is far from me.)
17 “Ku nu oasr pacl ma kuniyukla kalem lun mwet koluk uh? Ku nu oasr sie selos pula mwe ongoiya? Nu oasr pacl God El kai mwet koluk uh ke kasrkusrak
How frequently is the light of the evil-doers put out, or does trouble come on them? how frequently does his wrath take them with cords?
18 Ac okulosla oana mah uh ke eng upa, Ku oana kutkut ma sohkla ke pacl in paka uh?
How frequently are they as dry stems before the wind, or as grass taken away by the storm-wind?
19 “Komtal fahk mu God El akkeokye sie tulik ke sripen ma koluk lun papa tumal uh. Mo! Lela God Elan akkeokye na mwet se ma orekma koluk an; Lela in kalem selos lah God El oru ouinge ke sripen koluk ma elos sifacna oru.
You say, God keeps punishment stored up for his children. Let him send it on the man himself, so that he may have the punishment of it!
20 Lela mwet koluk uh in sifacna us mwatan ma koluk lalos an; Lela elos in pula kasrkusrak lun God Kulana.
Let his eyes see his trouble, and let him be full of the wrath of the Ruler of all!
21 Moul lun sie mwet fin safla, Mea pwaye lah ac oasr nunak lal ke tulik natul, lah elos engan ku tia?
For what interest has he in his house after him, when the number of his months is ended?
22 Mea, mwet uh ku in luti God, Su nununku mwet nukewa, finne elos su muta yen fulat?
Is anyone able to give teaching to God? for he is the judge of those who are on high.
23 “Sie kain mwet ac misa ke pacl na ma yohk wo ouiya nu sel, Ac el mutana okak ac misla.
One comes to his end in complete well-being, full of peace and quiet:
24 Manol factfat na wo, ac koanon sri kacl uh srakna ku.
His buckets are full of milk, and there is no loss of strength in his bones.
25 A sie kain mwet uh wangin na pwaye engan lal; El inse toasr na ke el moul nwe ke na el misa.
And another comes to his end with a bitter soul, without ever tasting good.
26 Tusruktu elos kewa ac oana sie: elos ac misa, pukpuki, Ac manolos afla ke wet.
Together they go down to the dust, and are covered by the worm.
27 “Nga etu nunak koluk lomtal ingan.
See, I am conscious of your thoughts, and of your violent purposes against me;
28 Komtal fahk, ‘Pia lohm sin leum sac inge; Mwet se ma mutana oru ma koluk?’
For you say, Where is the house of the ruler, and where is the tent of the evil-doer?
29 “Ku komtal soenna wi sramsram nu sin mwet ma muta forfor nu saya uh? Komtal tiana etu kain mwe sramsram ma elos ac som nwe foloko srumun uh?
Have you not put the question to the travellers, and do you not take note of their experience?
30 Ke len ma God El ac kasrkusrak ac akkeokye mwet uh, Mwet koluk uc wacna tia pula ma upa.
How the evil man goes free in the day of trouble, and has salvation in the day of wrath?
31 Wanginna mwet muta tukakin mwet koluk uh, Ku folokin nu sel ke ma koluk nukewa ma el orala.
Who will make his way clear to his face? and if he has done a thing, who gives him punishment for it?
32 Ke el ac utukla nu ke kulyuk uh, Nu ke luf kial su arulana taranyuk wo,
He is taken to his last resting-place, and keeps watch over it.
33 Mwet puspis ac fah wi fahsr nu ke pukmas uh, Ac finne fohkon acn uh, ac fah arulana mulala nu facl.
The earth of the valley covering his bones is sweet to him, and all men come after him, as there were unnumbered before him.
34 “A komtal! Komtal srike in akwoyeyu ke kas lusrongten! Top lomtal an kikiap nufon!”
Why then do you give me comfort with words in which there is no profit, when you see that there is nothing in your answers but deceit?
