Jeremiah 10
1 Mwet Israel, porongo kas lun LEUM GOD nu suwos
Hear the word which the LORD speaks to you, house of Israel!

The LORD says, “Don’t learn the way of the nations, and don’t be dismayed at the signs of the sky; for the nations are dismayed at them.
3 Alu lun mwet inge wangin sripa. Soko sak ac pakpuki insak uh, Na kihlyak ke kufwen sroasr lun mwet tufahl,
For the customs of the peoples are vanity; for one cuts a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman with the axe.
4 Ac yunla ke silver ac gold. Osra pa sang sruokya In tia topla.
They deck it with silver and with gold. They fasten it with nails and with hammers, so that it can’t move.
5 Kain ma sruloala inge oana luman mwet kikiap se ma kaskiyuki ke ima uh. Elos tia ku in kaskas. Enenu in utuk elos Mweyen elos tia ku in fahsr. Nimet sangeng selos. Elos tia ku in akkolukye kowos, Ac wangin pac ma wo elos ku in oru nu suwos.”
They are like a palm tree, of turned work, and don’t speak. They must be carried, because they can’t move. Don’t be afraid of them; for they can’t do evil, neither is it in them to do good.”
6 LEUM GOD, wangin sie oana kom. Kom kulana, Ac Inem fulat ac yoklana ku la.
There is no one like you, LORD. You are great, and your name is great in might.
7 Kom pa tokosra lun mutunfacl nukewa, na su ac tia sunakin kom? Fal in akfulatyeyuk kom. Wangin sie oana kom Inmasrlon mwet lalmwetmet nukewa lun mutunfacl uh, Ku inmasrlon kutena tokosra lalos.
Who shouldn’t fear you, King of the nations? For it belongs to you. Because amongst all the wise men of the nations, and in all their royal estate, there is no one like you.
8 Mwet nukewa su alu nu ke ma sruloala elos sulalkung ac lalfon. Mea elos ac ku in etala sin sie ma orekla ke sak?
But they are together brutish and foolish, instructed by idols! It is just wood.
9 Ma sruloala lalos nukla ke silver Spain me Ac ke gold Uphaz me, Orekla sin mwet usrnguk in sroasr. Elos nuknukyang ke nuknuk folfolnemnem ac sroninmutuk Orekla sin mwet orek nuknuk na usrnguk.
There is silver beaten into plates, which is brought from Tarshish, and gold from Uphaz, the work of the engraver and of the hands of the goldsmith. Their clothing is blue and purple. They are all the work of skilful men.

But the LORD is the true God. He is the living God, and an everlasting King. At his wrath, the earth trembles. The nations aren’t able to withstand his indignation.

“You shall say this to them: ‘The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth will perish from the earth, and from under the heavens.’”
12 LEUM GOD El orala faclu ke ku lal; El oakiya faclu ke lalmwetmet lal, Ac El asroelik kusrao ke etu lal.
God has made the earth by his power. He has established the world by his wisdom, and by his understanding has he stretched out the heavens.
13 Ke sap lal, kof lucng liki yen engyeng uh ngirngir; El orama pukunyeng uh liki saflaiyen faclu. El oru sarom in sarmelik in af uh Ac supwama eng uh liki nien filma lal.
When he utters his voice, the waters in the heavens roar, and he causes the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth. He makes lightnings for the rain, and brings the wind out of his treasuries.
14 Ke mwet uh liye ma inge, elos akilen lupan lalfon ac nikin lalos sifacna. Elos su oru ma sruloala elos mwekinla, Mweyen god ma elos orala uh tia pwaye ac wangin moul la.
Every man has become brutish and without knowledge. Every goldsmith is disappointed by his engraved image; for his molten image is falsehood, and there is no breath in them.
15 Elos ma lusrongten ma fal in pilesreyuk. Elos ac fah kunausyukla pacl se LEUM GOD El ac tuku in nununkalos.
They are vanity, a work of delusion. In the time of their visitation they will perish.
16 God lal Jacob El tia oana ma inge. El pa orala ma nukewa, Ac El sulela mwet Israel elos in mwet lal. Inel pa LEUM GOD Kulana.
The portion of Jacob is not like these; for he is the maker of all things; and Israel is the tribe of his inheritance. The LORD of Armies is his name.
17 Mwet Jerusalem, apweni! Kuhlusyuki kowos!
Gather up your wares out of the land, you who live under siege.
18 LEUM GOD El ac siskowosla liki facl se inge. El ac itungkowosi nwe ke na wangin sie suwos lula. LEUM GOD pa fahk ma inge.
For the LORD says, “Behold, I will sling out the inhabitants of the land at this time, and will distress them, that they may feel it.”
19 Mwet Jerusalem elos wowoyak ac fahk, “Fuka lupan ongoiya uh! Kinet kacsr uh ac tiana mahla. A kut tuh nunku mu kut ac ku in muteng ma inge!
Woe is me because of my injury! My wound is serious; but I said, “Truly this is my grief, and I must bear it.”
20 Lohm nuknuk sesr uh musalsalu; Sucl ma sang sruok uh wotelik. Tulik natusr nukewa fahsr liki kut; Wangin mwet lula in sifil tulokunak lohm nuknuk sesr; Wangin mwet in sripisrya mwe lisrlisr kac uh.”
My tent has been destroyed, and all my cords are broken. My children have gone away from me, and they are no more. There is no one to spread my tent any more, to set up my curtains.
21 Na nga topuk, “Mwet kol lasr elos lalfon; Elos tia siyuk kolyuk sin LEUM GOD. Pa inge sripa pwanang elos tia kapkapak, Ac mwet lasr uh fahsrelik.
For the shepherds have become brutish, and have not enquired of the LORD. Therefore they have not prospered, and all their flocks have scattered.
22 Porongo! Oasr pweng se tuku! Oasr sie mukuiyak lulap in sie mutunfacl epang; Mwet mweun we ac fah ekulla siti lun Judah nu ke sie acn mwesis, Nu ke acn in muta lun kosro lemnak uh.”
The voice of news, behold, it comes, and a great commotion out of the north country, to make the cities of Judah a desolation, a dwelling place of jackals.
23 LEUM GOD, nga etu lah wangin sie mwet sifacna kol inkanek lal, Wangin mwet sifacna nununku moul lal.
LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself. It is not in man who walks to direct his steps.
24 LEUM GOD, aksuwosye mwet lom, Tusruktu nimet kom arulana upa nu sesr, Ku kai kut ke pacl kom kasrkusrak, Mweyen ac tuh pa ingan saflaiyen moul lasr.
LORD, correct me, but gently; not in your anger, lest you reduce me to nothing.
25 Furokla kasrkusrak lom nu fin mutunfacl ma tia etekom, Ac nu fin mwet su tia alu nu sum. Elos onela mwet lom. Elos kunauskutla na pwaye Ac likiya acn sesr in oan musalla.
Pour out your wrath on the nations that don’t know you, and on the families that don’t call on your name; for they have devoured Jacob. Yes, they have devoured him, consumed him, and have laid waste his habitation.
