< Isaiah 33 >

1 We nu sin mwet lokoalok lasr! Elos pisrapasr ac kiapu mwet uh, finne wangin mwet pisre ma lalos ku kiapwelos. Tusruktu pacl in pusr ac kikiap lalos ac safla, ac elos sifacna ac fah kiapweyuk ac pisreyuk ma lalos.
Woe to you who destroy, but you weren’t destroyed, and who betray, but nobody betrayed you! When you have finished destroying, you will be destroyed; and when you have finished betrayal, you will be betrayed.
2 LEUM GOD, pakoten nu sesr. Kut filiya finsrak lasr in kom. Karingin kut len nu ke len, ac molikutla in pacl ongoiya.
LORD, be gracious to us. We have waited for you. Be our strength every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble.
3 Pacl kom mweun kacsr uh, mutunfacl uh kaingla ke elos lohng kusen mweun.
At the noise of the thunder, the peoples have fled. When you lift yourself up, the nations are scattered.
4 Ma lalos nukewa ac fah orekeni ac utukla in ma wap, oana ke un locust uh kangla sroan ima nukewa.
Your plunder will be gathered as the caterpillar gathers. Men will leap on it as locusts leap.
5 Fuka lupan fulatlana lun LEUM GOD! El pa nununku ma nukewa. El fah nwakla acn Jerusalem ke suwoswos ac pwaye,
The LORD is exalted, for he dwells on high. He has filled Zion with justice and righteousness.
6 ac oru tuh mutunfacl se inge in oakwuki ku. El karl ngin mwet lal pacl nukewa, ac sang lalmwetmet ac etauk nu selos. Ma saok se ma yohk emeet selos pa etu in sunakin LEUM GOD.
There will be stability in your times, abundance of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge. The fear of the LORD is your treasure.
7 Mwet na pulaik elos sukok ka sru. Mwet tutafpo fulat su suk inka nek in misla elos tung mwemelil.
Behold, their valiant ones cry outside; the ambassadors of peace weep bitterly.
8 Inkanek lulap uh yokla mwe sensen we oru wangin mwet fufahsryesr fac. Oakwuk in insesela ma orekla inmasrlon mutunfacl uh musalla, ac wanginla pac akfulatyeyen mwet uh.
The highways are desolate. The travelling man ceases. The covenant is broken. He has despised the cities. He doesn’t respect man.
9 Acn uh oanna ke wangin, ac wangin mwet muta we. Insak in acn Lebanon masla, ac infahlfal Sharon ma wo fohk we uh mwesisla, ac sroan sak uh in acn Bashan ac fin Eol Carmel putatla.
The land mourns and languishes. Lebanon is confounded and withers away. Sharon is like a desert, and Bashan and Carmel are stripped bare.
10 LEUM GOD El fahk nu sin mutunfacl puspis, “Inge, nga ac mukuila ac akkalemye kuiyuk.
“Now I will arise,” says the LORD. “Now I will lift myself up. Now I will be exalted.
11 Kowos oru pwapa lusrongten, ac ma nukewa kowos oru wangin sripa. Ngunik, su oana sie e, ac kunauskowosla.”
You will conceive chaff. You will give birth to stubble. Your breath is a fire that will devour you.
12 Kowos ac mokutkuti oana eot ma isikyak in orek fasr — oana otonsak ma firirla nwe ke apatla.
The peoples will be like the burning of lime, like thorns that are cut down and burnt in the fire.
13 Lela mwet nukewa yen apkuran ac yen loessula in lohng ma nga orala ac akilen ku luk.”
Hear, you who are far off, what I have done; and, you who are near, acknowledge my might.”
14 Mwet koluk in Zion elos rarrar ke sangeng. Elos fahk, “Nununku lun God oana sie e ma firir nwe tok. Ya oasr kutena sesr ku in painmoulla ke kain in e ouinge uh?”
The sinners in Zion are afraid. Trembling has seized the godless ones. Who amongst us can live with the devouring fire? Who amongst us can live with everlasting burning?
15 Kowos ku in moul kowos fin oru ma suwohs ac kaskas pwaye. Nik kowos orekmakin ku lowos in kiapu mwet sukasrup, ac nik kowos eis molin eyeinse. Nik kowos kupasryang nu selos su akoo in orek akmas ku in oru kutena ouiya koluk.
He who walks righteously and speaks blamelessly, he who despises the gain of oppressions, who gestures with his hands, refusing to take a bribe, who stops his ears from hearing of bloodshed, and shuts his eyes from looking at evil—
16 Na kowos ac fah moulla. Kowos ac fah okak na, oana ke kowos in muta ke sie pot ku yen fulat. Ac fah oasr mwe mongo nowos ac kof nimowos.
he will dwell on high. His place of defence will be the fortress of rocks. His bread will be supplied. His waters will be sure.
17 Kowos ac fah sifilpa liye sie tokosra in wolana lal su leumi sie facl na lulap.
Your eyes will see the king in his beauty. They will see a distant land.
18 Kowos ac fah esamak sangeng lowos ke mwetsac su eisani takma, ac mwet kalngeyuk ma oakla tower ke siti lowos.
Your heart will meditate on the terror. Where is he who counted? Where is he who weighed? Where is he who counted the towers?
19 Kowos ac tia sifil liye mwetsac ma orek funmwet ac kaskaskin sie kas ma kowos tia ku in kalem kac.
You will no longer see the fierce people, a people of a deep speech that you can’t comprehend, with a strange language that you can’t understand.
20 Ngetla liye acn Zion, siti se ma kut oru kufwa mutal lasr we. Liye acn Jerusalem! Sie acn misla su ac wo in muta we! Acn we ac fah oana sie lohm nuknuk ma tiana mokleyukla, su kwi kac uh tiana fifyak, ac sucl kac uh tia wi wotla.
Look at Zion, the city of our appointed festivals. Your eyes will see Jerusalem, a quiet habitation, a tent that won’t be removed. Its stakes will never be plucked up, nor will any of its cords be broken.
21 LEUM GOD El fah akkalemye wolana lal nu sesr. Kut fah muta sisken infacl sralap ac sungan infacl srisrik. Tusruktu oak lulap okan mwet sulallal uh ac fah tiana kalkal we.
But there the LORD will be with us in majesty, a place of wide rivers and streams, in which no galley with oars will go, neither will any gallant ship pass by there.
22 Tuh LEUM GOD pa ac nununkekut. El tokosra lasr su ac leumi kut ac loangekutla.
For the LORD is our judge. The LORD is our lawgiver. The LORD is our king. He will save us.
23 Sucl fin oak ingan foroti — tia ku in sruokya koesu uh in okak, ku amakunak nes uh in elakelik. Kut ac sruokya mwe kasrup nukewa lun mwet lokoalok lasr ac kitalik. Ac fah yolyak nu sesr, pwanang finne mwet sukapas, ac oasr pac ip lalos.
Your rigging is untied. They couldn’t strengthen the foot of their mast. They couldn’t spread the sail. Then the prey of a great plunder was divided. The lame took the prey.
24 Wangin mwet in facl sesr ac fah fahk mu, “Nga mas.” Ma koluk lun mwet nukewa fah nunak munas nu selos.
The inhabitant won’t say, “I am sick.” The people who dwell therein will be forgiven their iniquity.
