< Isaiah 23 >

1 Kas in fahkak inge ma ke acn Tyre. Wowoyak ac asor, kowos mwet kalkal fin meoa! Acn suwos, Tyre, kunausyukla; lohm we ac molsron we wanginla. Ke oak okowos ac foloko liki acn Cyprus, kowos ac fah lohng pweng kac.
The word about Tyre. Let a cry of sorrow go up, O ships of Tarshish, because your strong place is made waste; on the way back from the land of Kittim the news is given to them.
2 Kowos in tung mwemelil, kowos mwet kuka lun Sidon! Kowos supu mwet
Send out a cry of grief, you men of the sea-land, traders of Zidon, who go over the sea, whose representatives are on great waters;
3 in tupalla meoa in moli ac kukakin wheat ma kap ke acn Shihor sisken infacl Nile in acn Egypt, ac in oru inkanek in kuka lalos yurin mutunfacl puspis.
Who get in the seed of Shihor, whose wealth is the trade of the nations.
4 Siti Sidon, kom akmwekinyeyukla! Meoa ac acn loallana meoa siskomla ac fahk, “Wanginna tulik nga oswela. Nga soenna tufahla wen ku acn.”
Be shamed, O Zidon: for the sea, the strong place of the sea has said, I have not been with child, or given birth; I have not taken care of young men, or kept watch over the growth of virgins.
5 Finne mwet Egypt elos ac fah lut ac oela pacl se elos lohng lah kunausyukla acn Tyre.
When the news comes to Egypt they will be bitterly pained at the fate of Tyre.
6 Mwet Phoenicia, kowos in wowoyak ac tung! Srike in kaing nu Tarshish!
Go over to Tarshish; give cries of sorrow, O men of the sea-land.
7 Mea pwaye lah pa inge Tyre, siti na pwar se ma musaiyukla ke pacl na loes somla? Ya pa inge siti se ma supwala mwet in tupalla meoa ac eis acn ingo tuh in acn selos?
Is this the town which was full of joy, whose start goes back to times long past, whose wanderings took her into far-off countries?
8 Su lumahla tuh mwe ongoiya inge nukewa in sikyak nu fin acn Tyre, siti fulat sac, su mwet kuka we elos fisrak ac akfulatyeyuk emeet fin faclu?
By whom was this purposed against Tyre, the crowning town, whose traders are chiefs, whose business men are honoured in the land?
9 LEUM GOD Kulana pa lumahla. El oru in tulokinya filang lalos ke ma elos orala, ac in aktonongyala mwet fulat lalos.
It was the purpose of the Lord of armies to put pride to shame, to make sport of the glory of those who are honoured in the earth.
10 Fahla ac orek ima, kowos mwet Tyre su muta in acn Tarshish! Wangin sie ac fah sifil loangekowos.
Let your land be worked with the plough, O daughter of Tarshish; there is no longer any harbour.
11 LEUM GOD El asroela paol fin meoa ac kutangla tokosrai uh. El sap tuh pot ku lun Phoenicia in kunausyukla.
His hand is stretched out over the sea, the kingdoms are shaking: the Lord has given orders about Canaan, to make waste its strong places.
12 Siti Sidon, insewowo lom safla, ac mwet lom akkeokyeyuk. Elos finne kaing nu Cyprus, elos ac tiana konauk misla we.
And he said, There is no more joy for you, O crushed virgin daughter of Zidon: up! go over to Kittim; even there you will have no rest.
13 (Tia mwet Assyria pa oru kosro lemnak uh in utyak ac nwakla acn Tyre, a mwet Babylonia. Mwet Babylonia pa tulokunak nien fan sisken pot we, ac fukulya acn ku lun Tyre, ac sisla in oan musalla.)
14 Wowoyak ac asor, kowos mwet kalkal meoa uh! Kunausyukla siti se ma kowos kukin.
Let a cry of sorrow go up, O ships of Tarshish: because your strong place is made waste.
15 Pacl se ac tuku ke acn Tyre ac mulkinyukla ke yac itngoul, lusenna moul lun sie tokosra. Ke ac safla yac inge, acn Tyre ac fah oana mutan kosro se ke on soko ma fahk mu:
And it will be in that day that Tyre will go out of mind for seventy years, that is, the days of one king: after the end of seventy years it will be for Tyre as in the song of the loose woman.
16 Kom, mutan kosro se ma mulkinyukla, Eis harp nutum ac forfor in siti uh! Srital ac sifilpa onkakin on lom In sifil esamyukyak kom.
Take an instrument of music, go about the town, O loose woman who has gone out from the memory of man; make sweet melody with songs, so that you may come back to men's minds.
17 Ke yac itngoul ac safla, LEUM GOD El ac lela Tyre in folokla nu ke inkanek in kuka matu lal, ac el ac fah kukakunulla sifacna nu sin tokosrai nukewa lun faclu.
And it will be after the end of seventy years, that the Lord will have mercy on Tyre, and she will go back to her trade, acting as a loose woman with all the kingdoms of the world on the face of the earth.
18 Mani ma el sruokya ke kuka lal uh ac fah kisaiyukyang nu sin LEUM GOD. Acn Tyre ac fah tia elosak ma inge nu sel sifacna ku filiya in nien filma lal, a ac fah orekmakinyuk in kasrelos su lafwekunulosla nu sin LEUM GOD, in akfalye enenu lalos ke mwe mongo ac nuknuk lalos.
And her goods and her trade will be holy to the Lord: they will not be kept back or stored up; for her produce will be for those living in the Lord's land, to give them food for their needs, and fair clothing.
