< Luo Timothy 2 >

1 Ke ma inge, wen nutik, kom in akkeye kom ke lungkulang su ma lasr ke kut kupasryang nu sin Christ Jesus.
Do you then, my son, strengthen you heart in the grace which is in Christ Jesus.
2 Eis mwe luti su kom lohng sik ke nga fahkak ye mutun mwet puspis, ac sang ma inge nu sin mwet kom lulalfongi, su fah ku in luti pac nu sin mwet ngia.
The teachings which you have heard from me, attested by many witnesses, deliver into the keeping of faithful men, who in their turn will be able to teach others also.
3 Kom in wi pac keok, oana sie mwet mweun oaru lun Christ Jesus.
Take your share in suffering as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
4 Sie mwet mweun su oru ma kuna el lungse akinsewowoye mwet kol lal, pwanang el tia akfohsyal sifacna ke orekma lun mwet ma tia mwet mweun.
A soldier in active service avoids entangling himself in the every- day affairs of life, so that he may please his commander.
5 Sie mwet srital su kasrusr in akutun el tia ku in eis molin kutangla el fin seakos ma sap uh.
And again, an athlete is not crowned unless he obeys the rules of the game.
6 Sie mwet ima su orekma upa, fal elan eis ip lal meet ke pacl in kosrani.
The farmer who has done the work should be the first to get a share of the crop.
7 Nunku ke ma nga fahk nu sum inge, mweyen Leum El ac ku in oru kom in kalem kac nufon.
Reflect on what I am telling you. The Lord will give you understanding in everything.
8 Esamul Jesus Christ, su akmoulyeyukyak liki misa, su sie sin fwilin tulik natul David, oana ma lutiyuk ke Pweng Wo su nag fahkak kac.
Always remember that Jesus Christ, a descendant of David, has been raised from the dead according to the gospel I proclaim.
9 Ke sripen fahkak luk ke Pweng Wo nga akkeokyeyuk ac kapiri ke sein, oana sie mwet kunausla ma sap. Tusruktu kas lun God tia ku in kapriyuki.
For preaching it I am suffering, and am even put in chains as a malefacter. But God’s message is no prisoner.
10 Ke ma inge nga mutangla ma nukewa ke sripen mwet sulosolla lun God, tuh elos fah oayapa eis molela su tuku ke Christ Jesus, oayapa eis wolana su wangin saflaiya. (aiōnios g166)
That is why I endure everything for the sake of the chosen, that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. (aiōnios g166)
11 Kas pwaye se pa inge: “Fin pwaye kut tuh welul misa, Kut fah oayapa welul moul.
Faithful is the saying. "If we have died with him, we shall also live with him.
12 Kut fin kwafeang in muteng, Kut fah oayapa welul leumi. Kut fin lafwekunul, El ac fah oayapa lafwekin kut.
If we endure suffering, we shall also reign with him. If we disown him, he too will disown us.
13 Kut fin soaru nu sel, El ac nuna oaru na nu sesr, Mweyen el tia ku in sifacna aksufalyal.”
If we prove faithless. he abides faithful, for he cannot be false to himself."
14 Akesmakinye mwet lom ke ma inge, ac sensenkakunulos ye mutun God tuh elos in tia akukuin ke kalmen kas. Tuh wangin ma wo ac tuku kac, a mwe na akkolukyela mwet su lohng.
Always call these truths to men’s mind; adjuring them in the presence of God to avoid controversy. It is a useless thing, and subverts those who listen to it.
15 Kom in akkeye kom tuh God Elan liye kom wo, sie mwet orekma su tia enenu in mwekin, su orekmakin suwosna kas lun God.
Strive earnestly to present yourself unto God, tested and proved worthy by trial, a workman unashamed, ever cutting a straight path for the message of the truth.
16 Kom in forla liki sramsram lusrongten wangin sripa, tuh ma inge mwe akloesyalik mwet uh liki God.
but avoid profane babble; for people will go farther and farther in impiety,
17 Mwe luti ouinge oana ruf aryur su kangla ikwa. Hymenaeus ac Philetus pa luo sin mwet ma luti ouinge.
and their teaching will spread like a gangrene.
18 Elos kuhfla liki ma pwaye ac fusauk lulalfongi lun kutu mwet, ke elos fahk mu sifil moulyak lun mwet uh sikyak tari.
Among such are Hymenaeus and Philetus, who have gone astray concerning the truth by declaring that the resurrection is already past; and they are undermining the faith of some.
19 Tuh pwelung ku su God El oakiya tia ku in mokleyukla; ac kas inge simla fac: “Leum El etu mwet lal” ac “Elos su fahk mu elos ma lun Leum, enenu elos in forla liki orekma koluk lalos.”
Nevertheless God’s firm foundation stands unshaken, bearing this inscription, THE LORD KNOWS THOSE WHO ARE HIS, and this also, LET EVERY ONE WHO NAMES THE NAME OF THE LORD RENOUNCE WICKEDNESS.
20 In sie lohm lulap, oasr kain in ahlu ac pol puspis: kutu orekla ke silver ac gold, kutu ke sak ac kle; kutu ma nu ke tukeni fulat, ac kutu nu ke pacl nukewa.
Now in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for noble, some for ignoble uses.
21 Ke ma inge kutena mwet fin aknasnasyal liki ma koluk inge nukewa, ac fah orekmakinyuk el nu ke ma yohk sripa, ke sripen el akmutalyeyuk tari ac fal in orekmakinyuk sin leum lal, ac el akola nu ke orekma wo nukewa.
If then a man keeps himself clear of these latter, he will be a vessel for honor, consecrated, useful to the Master, prepared for every good work.
22 Kaing liki lung koluk lun mwet fusr, ac fahsr tukun suwoswos, lulalfongi, lungse, ac misla, welulos su pang nu sin Leum ke inse nasnas.
Flee from the passions of youth, but run after righteousness, faith, love, and peace, in company with those who out of a pure heart call upon the Lord.
23 A kom in forla liki akukuin lalfon ma wangin kalmeya; kom etu na lah ma inge ac pruakak lokoalok.
Ever shun foolish and puerile discussions, for you know that they lead to quarrels.
24 Mwet kulansap lun Leum uh tia fal elan mwet akukuin, a elan kulang nu sin mwet nukewa; elan sie mwet luti wo ac mongfisrasr.
The Lord’s slave must not quarrel, but must be kind to all men; a skilful teacher, patient of wrong.
25 Elan mongfisrasr ke pacl el aksuwosye mwet alein nu sel, sahp God El ac sang pacl wo nu selos elos in auliyak ac etu ma pwaye.
He must be gentle when instructing opponents; for possibly God may give them a change of mind for the recognition of the truth,
26 Ac toko elos fah asmakla ac kaingla liki mwe kwasrip lun Devil, su sruokolosi ac oru elos in akos lungse lal.
and they may come to their senses again, and escape the snare of the devil, as they are restored to life by God to do his will.
