ಯೋಬನು 18

1 ಆಗ ಶೂಹ್ಯನಾದ ಬಿಲ್ದದನು ಉತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟು ಹೀಗೆಂದನು:

Then Bildad the Shuhite answered,

2 “ಯೋಬನೇ, ಈ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ನೀನು ಯಾವಾಗ ಕೊನೆಗೊಳಿಸುತ್ತೀ? ವಿವೇಕಿಯಾಗು, ಆಮೇಲೆ ಮಾತನಾಡೋಣ.

"How long will you hunt for words? Consider, and afterwards we will speak.

3 ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಮೃಗಗಳೆಂದು ಎಣಿಸಿರುವೆಯಾ? ನಿನ್ನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು ದಡ್ಡರೋ?

Why are we counted as animals, which have become unclean in your sight?

4 ಕೋಪದಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನೀನೇ ಸೀಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವೆಯಾ? ನಿನ್ನ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಭೂಮಿ ಹಾಳಾಗಬೇಕೋ? ಬಂಡೆಯು ತನ್ನ ಸ್ಥಳದಿಂದ ತೊಲಗಬೇಕೋ?

You who tear yourself in your anger, shall the earth be forsaken for you? Or shall the rock be removed out of its place?

5 “ಹೌದು, ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ದುಷ್ಟರ ಬೆಳಕು ಆರಿಹೋಗುವುದು; ಅವನ ಬಾಳಿನ ಬೆಂಕಿಯ ಜ್ವಾಲೆಯು ಉರಿಯದೆ ಹೋಗುವುದು.

"Yes, the light of the wicked shall be put out, The spark of his fire shall not shine.

6 ಅವನ ಗುಡಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳಕು ಕತ್ತಲಾಗುವುದು; ಅವನ ಮೇಲಣ ತೂಗು ದೀಪವು ಆರಿಹೋಗುವುದು.

The light shall be dark in his tent. His lamp above him shall be put out.

7 ಅವನ ಬಲವುಳ್ಳ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಗಳು ದುರ್ಬಲಗೊಳ್ಳುವುದು; ಅವನ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳೇ ಅವನನ್ನು ಕೆಡವಿಹಾಕುವವು.

The steps of his strength shall be shortened. His own counsel shall cast him down.

8 ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ದುಷ್ಟನು ತನ್ನ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಗಳಿಂದಲೇ ಬಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬೀಳುವನು; ಅವನು ಕುಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದು ಅಲೆದಾಡುವನು.

For he is cast into a net by his own feet, and he wanders into its mesh.

9 ಬೋನು ಅವನ ಹಿಮ್ಮಡಿಯನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು; ಉರುಳು ಅವನನ್ನು ಬಿಗಿಯಾಗಿ ಹಿಡಿದಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು.

A snare will take him by the heel. A trap will catch him.

10 ನೆಲದ ಮೇಲೆ ಪಾಶವೂ, ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಜಾಲವೂ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಹೊಂಚಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವುವು.

A noose is hidden for him in the ground, a trap for him in the way.

11 ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ದಿಗಿಲುಗಳು ಅವನನ್ನು ಹೆದರಿಸಿ, ಅವನ ಕಾಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಓಡುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವುವು.

Terrors shall make him afraid on every side, and shall chase him at his heels.

12 ಅವನ ಬಲವು ಕುಸಿಯುವುದು; ವಿನಾಶವು ಅವನ ಬೀಳುವಿಕೆಗಾಗಿ ಸಿದ್ಧವಾಗಿರುವುದು.

His strength shall be famished. Calamity shall be ready at his side.

13 ಅದು ಅವನ ಚರ್ಮದ ಬಲವನ್ನು ತಿಂದುಬಿಡುವುದು; ಮರಣದ ಚೊಚ್ಚಲತನವು ಅವನ ಅಂಗಾಂಗಗಳನ್ನು ನುಂಗಿಬಿಡುವುದು.

The members of his body shall be devoured. The firstborn of death shall devour his members.

14 ಅವನು ಭದ್ರತೆಯ ಗುಡಾರದಿಂದ ಹೊರಬೀಳುವನು. ಅವನು ಭಯಂಕರ ಅರಸನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಸಾಗಬೇಕಾಗುವುದು.

He shall be rooted out of his tent where he trusts. He shall be brought to the king of terrors.

15 ಬೆಂಕಿಯು ಅವನ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಸುಡುವುದು; ಅವನ ಮನೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಗಂಧಕವನ್ನು ಎರಚಲಾಗುವುದು.

There shall dwell in his tent that which is none of his. Sulfur shall be scattered on his habitation.

16 ಬುಡದಿಂದ ಅವನ ಬೇರುಗಳು ಒಣಗುವುವು; ಮೇಲಿನಿಂದ ಅವನ ರೆಂಬೆಯು ಬಾಡುವುದು.

His roots shall be dried up beneath. Above shall his branch be cut off.

17 ಅವನ ಸ್ಮರಣೆಯು ಭೂಮಿಯಿಂದ ಅಳಿದುಹೋಗುವುದು; ನಾಡಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನ ಹೆಸರು ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಹೋಗುವುದು.

His memory shall perish from the earth. He shall have no name in the street.

18 ಬೆಳಕಿನಿಂದ ಅವನನ್ನು ಕತ್ತಲೆಗೆ ದಬ್ಬಲಾಗುವುದು; ಅವನು ಲೋಕದಿಂದ ಬಹಿಷ್ಕರಿಸಲಾಗುವನು.

He shall be driven from light into darkness, and chased out of the world.

19 ಅವನ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಮಗನೂ, ಮೊಮ್ಮಗನೂ ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಅವನು ವಾಸಿಸಿದ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರೂ ಉಳಿಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

He shall have neither son nor grandson among his people, nor any remaining where he sojourned.

20 ಪಶ್ಚಿಮ ಜನರು ಅವನ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯಪಡುವರು; ಪೂರ್ವದ ಕಡೆಯವರನ್ನು ದಿಗಿಲು ಹಿಡಿಯುವುದು.

Those who come after shall be astonished at his day, as those who went before were frightened.

21 ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ದುಷ್ಟರ ನೆಲೆಯು ಹೀಗೆಯೇ ಇರುವುದು; ದೇವರನ್ನು ಅರಿಯದವನ ಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಇದೇ.”

Surely such are the dwellings of the unrighteous. This is the place of him who doesn't know God."
