ಧರ್ಮೋಪದೇಶಕಾಂಡ 6
1 ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನಿಮಗೆ ಬೋಧಿಸಲು ನನಗೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ ಈ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನೂ, ತೀರ್ಪುಗಳನ್ನೂ, ನಿಯಮಗಳನ್ನೂ ನೀವು ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುವ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಅನುಸರಿಸಬೇಕಾದವುಗಳು ಇವೇ.
Now this is the commandment, the statutes, and the ordinances, which YHWH your God commanded to teach you, that you might do them in the land where you go over to possess it;
2 ನೀವೂ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳೂ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮೊಮ್ಮಕ್ಕಳೂ ತಮ್ಮ ಜೀವನದ ದಿವಸಗಳಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಟ್ಟು, ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳುವ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ದಿವಸಗಳು ಬಹಳವಾಗುವ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಕೊಡುವ ದೇವರ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ತೀರ್ಪುಗಳನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸಬೇಕು.
that you might fear YHWH your God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command you, you, and your son, and your son's son, all the days of your life; and that your days may be prolonged.
3 ಹೀಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಓ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರೇ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪಿತೃಗಳ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ವಾಗ್ದಾನ ಮಾಡಿದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಹಾಲೂ ಜೇನೂ ಹರಿಯುವ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದಾಗುವ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ನೀವು ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚುವ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಯವಿಟ್ಟು ಕೇಳಿ ವಿಧೇಯರಾಗಿರಿ.
Hear therefore, Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well with you, and that you may increase mightily, as YHWH, the God of your fathers, has promised to you, in a land flowing with milk and honey.
4 ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರೇ, ಕೇಳಿರಿ: ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರು; ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಒಬ್ಬರೇ.
Hear, Israel: YHWH is our God, YHWH is one.
5 ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಪೂರ್ಣಹೃದಯದಿಂದಲೂ, ಪೂರ್ಣಪ್ರಾಣದಿಂದಲೂ, ಪೂರ್ಣಶಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದಲೂ ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಬೇಕು.
And you shall love YHWH your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might.
6 ನಾನು ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ನಿಮಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸುವ ಈ ಮಾತುಗಳು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇರಬೇಕು.
These words, which I command you this day, shall be on your heart;
7 ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಅಭ್ಯಾಸ ಮಾಡಿಸಿ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂತಿರುವಾಗಲೂ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯುವಾಗಲೂ ಮಲಗುವಾಗಲೂ ಏಳುವಾಗಲೂ ಅವುಗಳ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಬೇಕು.
and you shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up.
8 ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಗುರುತಾಗಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕೈಗಳಿಗೆ ಕಟ್ಟಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹಣೆಗೂ ಕಟ್ಟಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು.
You shall bind them for a sign on your hand, and they shall be for symbols between your eyes.
9 ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮನೆಯ ನಿಲುವು ಪಟ್ಟಿಗಳ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಾಗಿಲುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಬರೆಯಬೇಕು.
You shall write them on the door posts of your house, and on your gates.
10 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪಿತೃಗಳಾದ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮ, ಇಸಾಕ, ಯಾಕೋಬರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಿದ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಸಿ, ನೀವು ಕಟ್ಟಿದ ದೊಡ್ಡದಾದ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನೂ,
It shall be, when YHWH your God shall bring you into the land which he swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give you, great and goodly cities, which you did not build,
11 ನೀವು ಕೂಡಿಸದ ಉತ್ತಮ ವಸ್ತುಗಳಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿದ ಮನೆಗಳನ್ನೂ, ನೀವು ಅಗೆಯದಿರುವ ಬಾವಿಗಳನ್ನೂ, ನೀವು ನೆಡದ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿತೋಟಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಓಲಿವ್ ತೋಟಗಳನ್ನೂ ನಿಮಗೆ ಕೊಡಲಾಗಿ, ನೀವು ತಿಂದು ತೃಪ್ತರಾಗಿರುವಿರಿ.
and houses full of all good things, which you did not fill, and cisterns dug out, which you did not dig, vineyards and olive trees, which you did not plant, and you shall eat and be full;
12 ಈಜಿಪ್ಟ್ ದೇಶದ ದಾಸತ್ವದ ಮನೆಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಹೊರಗೆ ಬರಮಾಡಿದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಮರೆಯದ ಹಾಗೆ ನೋಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ.
then beware lest you forget YHWH, who brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
13 ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ನೀವು ಭಯಪಡಬೇಕು. ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರವೇ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಬೇಕು ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಆಣೆಯಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು.
You shall fear YHWH your God; and you shall serve him only, and you shall cling to him, and take oaths by his name.
14 ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸುತ್ತಲಿರುವ ಜನರ ದೇವರುಗಳಾಗಿರುವ ಬೇರೆ ದೇವರುಗಳನ್ನು ನೀವು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಬೇಡಿರಿ.
You shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the peoples who are around you;
15 ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ತಮಗೆ ಸಲ್ಲಬೇಕಾದ ಗೌರವವನ್ನು ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬರಿಗೆ ಸಲ್ಲಗೊಡಿಸದ ಸ್ವಾಮ್ಯಾಸಕ್ತರಾದ ದೇವರು. ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರ ಕೋಪವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಉರಿಯಲು, ಅವರು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲಿನಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕುವರು.
for YHWH your God in the midst of you is a jealous God; lest the anger of YHWH your God be kindled against you, and he destroy you from off the face of the earth.
16 ನೀವು ಮಸ್ಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಿದ ಹಾಗೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಬಾರದು.
Do not test YHWH your God, as you tested him at Massah.
17 ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಅವರು ನಿಮಗೆ ನೀಡಿದ ಷರತ್ತುಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಅವರ ತೀರ್ಪುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು.
You shall diligently keep the commandments of YHWH your God, and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he has commanded you.
18 ನಿಮಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದಾಗುವಂತೆಯೂ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪಿತೃಗಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಿದ ಆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ನೀವು ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿ ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆಯೂ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸರಿಯಾದದ್ದನ್ನೂ, ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡಿರಿ.
You shall do that which is right and good in the sight of YHWH; that it may be well with you, and that you may go in and possess the good land which YHWH swore to your fathers,
19 ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ತಾವು ಹೇಳಿದಂತೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಶತ್ರುಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮುಂದೆಯೇ ಓಡಿಸಿಬಿಡುವರು.
to thrust out all your enemies from before you, as YHWH has spoken.
20 ಮುಂದಿನ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು, “ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ ಈ ಷರತ್ತುಗಳ, ತೀರ್ಪುಗಳ ಹಾಗು ನಿಯಮಗಳ ಅರ್ಥ ಏನು?” ಎಂದು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕೇಳುವರು.
When your son asks you in time to come, saying, "What do the testimonies, the statutes, and the ordinances, which YHWH our God has commanded you mean?"
21 ಆಗ ನೀವು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನಾವು ಈಜಿಪ್ಟ್ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಫರೋಹನನಿಗೆ ದಾಸರಾಗಿದ್ದೆವು. ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಬಲವಾದ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಈಜಿಪ್ಟಿನೊಳಗಿಂದ ಹೊರಗೆ ಬರಮಾಡಿದರು.
then you shall tell your son, "We were Pharaoh's bondservants in Egypt: and YHWH brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand;
22 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನಮ್ಮ ಕಣ್ಣ ಮುಂದೆಯೇ ಈಜಿಪ್ಟಿನ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ, ಫರೋಹನ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ, ಅವನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮನೆಯ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಭಯಂಕರವಾದ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಗುರುತುಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಅದ್ಭುತಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದರು.
and YHWH showed great and awesome signs and wonders on Egypt, on Pharaoh, and on all his house, before our eyes;
23 ಆದರೆ ದೇವರು ನಮ್ಮ ಪಿತೃಗಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಿದ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ನಮಗೆ ಕೊಡುವಂತೆಯೂ ನಾವು ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶ ಮಾಡುವಂತೆಯೂ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಈಜಿಪ್ಟಿನಿಂದ ಬರಮಾಡಿದರು.
and he brought us out from there, that he might bring us in, to give us the land which he swore to our fathers.
24 ನಮಗೆ ಎಂದೆಂದಿಗೂ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದಾಗುವಂತೆಯೂ, ಇಂದಿನಂತೆ ನಾವು ಬದುಕುವಂತೆಯೂ, ನಾವು ಈ ನಿಯಮಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕೈಗೊಂಡು ನಮ್ಮ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅವರು ನಮಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
YHWH commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear YHWH our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as at this day.
25 ಅವರು ನಮಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದಂತೆ ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಮುಂದೆ ಈ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನು ಕೈಗೊಂಡು ನಡೆದರೆ, ಅದು ನಮಗೆ ನೀತಿಯಾಗಿರುವುದು,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಬೇಕು.
It shall be righteousness to us, if we observe to do all this commandment before YHWH our God, as he has commanded us."
