ಅರಸುಗಳು - ದ್ವಿತೀಯ ಭಾಗ 13
1 ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಅಹಜ್ಯನ ಮಗ ಯೋವಾಷನ ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆಯ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತಮೂರನೆಯ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ, ಯೇಹುವಿನ ಮಗ ಯೆಹೋವಾಹಾಜನು ಸಮಾರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನಾದನು. ಅವನು ಹದಿನೇಳು ವರ್ಷ ಆಳಿದನು.
In the three and twentieth yeere of Ioash the sonne of Ahaziah King of Iudah, Iehoahaz the sonne of Iehu began to reigne ouer Israel in Samaria, and he reigned seuenteene yeere.
2 ಅವನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರನ್ನು ಪಾಪಮಾಡಲು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸಿದ ನೆಬಾಟನ ಮಗ ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನ ಪಾಪಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಡದೆ, ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿದನು.
And he did euil in the sight of the Lord, and followed the sinnes of Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat, which made Israel to sinne, and departed not therefrom.
3 ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೋಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು, ಅವರನ್ನು ಅರಾಮ್ಯರ ಅರಸನಾದ ಹಜಾಯೇಲನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಹಜಾಯೇಲನ ಮಗ ಬೆನ್ಹದದನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಬಹುಕಾಲ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದರು.
And the Lord was angry with Israel, and deliuered them into the hand of Hazael King of Aram, and into the hand of Ben-hadad the sonne of Hazael, all his dayes.
4 ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋವಾಹಾಜನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡದ್ದರಿಂದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಅವನ ಮೊರೆಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದರು. ಅರಾಮ್ಯರ ಅರಸನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರನ್ನು ಬಾಧೆಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಅವರು ಕಂಡು,
And Iehoahaz besought the Lord, and the Lord heard him: for he saw the trouble of Israel, wherewith the King of Aram troubled them.
5 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಿಗೆ ಒಬ್ಬ ವಿಮೋಚಕನನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರಿಂದ, ಅವರು ಅರಾಮ್ಯರ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋದರು. ಆಗ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ಮುಂಚಿನ ಹಾಗೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಮನೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದರು.
(And the Lord gaue Israel a deliuerer, so that they came out from vnder the subiection of the Aramites. And the children of Israel dwelt in their tents as before time.
6 ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರನ್ನು ಪಾಪಮಾಡಲು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸಿದ ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನ ಮನೆಯ ಪಾಪಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಡದೆ ಅವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಂದುವರಿದರು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಸಮಾರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಶೇರ ಸ್ತಂಭ ಇನ್ನೂ ಉಳಿದಿತ್ತು.
Neuerthelesse they departed not from the sinnes of the house of Ieroboam which made Israel sinne, but walked in them. euen the groue also remayned still in Samaria)
7 ಯೆಹೋವಾಹಾಜನ ಸೈನ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಐವತ್ತು ಕುದುರೆ ರಾಹುತರು, ಹತ್ತು ರಥಗಳು, ಹತ್ತು ಸಾವಿರ ಜನ ಕಾಲಾಳುಗಳ ಹೊರತು ಏನೂ ಉಳಿಯಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅರಾಮಿನ ಅರಸನು ಉಳಿದವರನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸಿ, ತುಳಿದು, ಧೂಳಿನ ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದನು.
For he had left of the people to Iehoahaz but fiftie horsemen, and tenne charets, and tenne thousand footemen, because the King of Aram had destroyed them, and made them like dust beaten to pouder.
8 ಯೆಹೋವಾಹಾಜನ ಇತರ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳೂ ಅವನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೆಲ್ಲವೂ ಅವನ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮವೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸರ ಇತಿಹಾಸಗಳ ಪುಸ್ತಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿರುತ್ತವೆ.
Concerning the rest of the actes of Iehoahaz and all that he did, and his valiant deedes, are they not written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?
9 ಯೆಹೋವಾಹಾಜನು ಮೃತನಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಪಿತೃಗಳ ಸಂಗಡ ಸೇರಿದನು. ಅವನ ಶವವನ್ನು ಸಮಾರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೂಳಿಟ್ಟರು. ಅವನ ಮಗ ಯೋವಾಷನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಅರಸನಾದನು.
And Iehoahaz slept with his fathers, and they buried him in Samaria, and Ioash his sonne reigned in his steade.
10 ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಯೋವಾಷನ ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆಯ ಮೂವತ್ತೇಳನೆಯ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೋವಾಹಾಜನ ಮಗ ಯೋವಾಷನು ಸಮಾರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನಾದನು. ಅವನು ಹದಿನಾರು ವರ್ಷ ಆಳಿದನು.
In the seuen and thirtieth yere of Ioash King of Iudah began Iehoash the sonne of Iehoahaz to reigne ouer Israel in Samaria, and reigned sixteene yeere,
11 ಅವನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರನ್ನು ಪಾಪಮಾಡಲು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸಿದ ನೆಬಾಟನ ಮಗ ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಪಾಪಗಳನ್ನು ತೊರೆದುಬಿಡದೆ, ಅವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಂದುವರೆದನು.
And did euil in the sight of the Lord: for he departed not from all the sinnes of Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat that made Israel to sinne, but he walked therein.
12 ಯೋವಾಷನ ಇತರ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳೂ, ಅವನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೆಲ್ಲವೂ, ಅವನು ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಅಮಚ್ಯನ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಯುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡಿದ ಅವನ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮವೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸರ ಇತಿಹಾಸಗಳ ಪುಸ್ತಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿರುತ್ತವೆ.
Concerning the rest of the actes of Ioash and all that he did, and his valiant deedes, and how he fought against Amaziah King of Iudah, are they not written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?
13 ಯೋವಾಷನು ಮೃತನಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಪಿತೃಗಳ ಜೊತೆ ಸೇರಿದನು, ಇವನ ಶವವನ್ನು ಸಮಾರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸರ ಸ್ಮಶಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮಾಧಿಮಾಡಿದರು. ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನು ಅವನ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಂಡನು.
And Ioash slept with his fathers, and Ieroboam sate vpon his seate: and Ioash was buryed in Samaria among the Kings of Israel.
14 ಆಗ ಎಲೀಷನು ಮರಣಕರ ವ್ಯಾಧಿಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ಯೋವಾಷನು ಅವನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು, ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಿದ್ದು, “ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯೇ, ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯೇ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ರಥಗಳೂ ಕುದುರೆ ಸವಾರರು ಆಗಿದ್ದವನೇ!” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾ ಅತ್ತನು.
When Elisha fell sicke of his sickenesse whereof he dyed, Ioash the King of Israel came downe vnto him, and wept vpon his face, and sayd, O my father, my father, the charet of Israel, and the horsemen of the same.
15 ಎಲೀಷನು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ಒಂದು ಬಿಲ್ಲನ್ನೂ ಬಾಣಗಳನ್ನೂ ತೆಗೆದುಕೋ,” ಎಂದನು. ಅವನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡನು.
Then Elisha sayde vnto him, Take a bowe and arrowes. And he tooke vnto him bowe and arrowes.
16 ಅವನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನಿಗೆ, “ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಲ್ಲನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೋ,” ಅವನು ಅದನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡಾಗ ಎಲೀಷನು ತನ್ನ ಕೈಗಳನ್ನು ಅರಸನ ಕೈಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಇಟ್ಟನು.
And he sayde to the King of Israel, Put thine hand vpon the bowe. And he put his hand vpon it. And Elisha put his hands vpon the Kings hands,
17 “ಪೂರ್ವದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಕಿಟಕಿಯನ್ನು ತೆರೆ,” ಎಂದನು. ಅವನು ತೆರೆದನು. ಎಲೀಷನು, “ಎಸೆ,” ಅನ್ನಲು, ಅವನು ಎಸೆದನು. “ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ವಿಜಯದ ಬಾಣವೇ, ಅರಾಮಿನಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸುವ ವಿಜಯದ ಬಾಣವೇ, ಅಫೇಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅರಾಮ್ಯರನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡುವವರೆಗೂ ನೀನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆಯುವೆ,” ಎಂದು ಎಲೀಷನು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
And saide, Open the windowe Eastward. And when he had opened it, Elisha said, Shoote. And he shot. And he sayd, Beholde the arrowe of the Lordes deliuerance and the arrowe of deliuerance against Aram: for thou shalt smite the Aramites in Aphek, till thou hast consumed them.
18 ಅವನು, “ಬಾಣಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೋ,” ಎಂದನು. ಅರಸನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡನು. ಎಲೀಷನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನಿಗೆ, “ನೆಲದ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೊಡೆ,” ಎಂದನು. ಆಗ ಅವನು ಮೂರು ಸಾರಿ ಮಾತ್ರ ಹೊಡೆದು ನಿಂತನು.
Againe he said, Take the arrowes. And he tooke them. And he sayde vnto the King of Israel, Smite the ground. And he smote thrise, and ceased.
19 ಆದರೆ ದೇವರ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೋಪಗೊಂಡು, “ನೀನು ಐದಾರು ಸಾರಿ ಹೊಡೆಯಬೇಕಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಆಗ ಅರಾಮ್ಯರನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡುವವರೆಗೂ ಹೊಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಈಗ ಅರಾಮ್ಯರನ್ನು ಮೂರು ಸಾರಿ ಮಾತ್ರ ಹೊಡೆಯುವೆ,” ಎಂದನು.
Then the man of God was angry with him, and sayde, Thou shouldest haue smitten fiue or sixe times, so thou shouldest haue smitten Aram, till thou haddest consumed it, where nowe thou shalt smite Aram but thrise.
20 ಅನಂತರ ಎಲೀಷನು ಮೃತನಾದನು. ಅವನ ಶವವನ್ನು ಸಮಾಧಿಮಾಡಿದರು. ವರ್ಷದ ಆರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೋವಾಬ್ಯರ ದಂಡುಗಳು ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿದವು.
So Elisha dyed, and they buryed him. And certaine bandes of the Moabites came into the land that yeere.
21 ಒಂದು ದಿನ ಕೆಲವು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನು ಸಮಾಧಿಮಾಡಲು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಆಗ, ಮೋವಾಬ್ಯರ ದಂಡು ಬರುತ್ತಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಕಂಡು, ಆ ಶವವನ್ನು ಎಲೀಷನ ಸಮಾಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಸಾಡಿ ಓಡಿಹೋದರು. ಆ ಶವ ಸಮಾಧಿಯ ಮೇಲೆಬಿದ್ದಾಗ, ಅದು ಎಲೀಷನ ಎಲುಬುಗಳಿಗೆ ತಗಲಿ ಜೀವ ಬಂದು ಎದ್ದು ನಿಂತನು.
And as they were burying a man, behold, they saw the souldiers: therfore they cast the man into the sepulchre of Elisha. And when the man was downe, and touched the bones of Elisha, he reuiued and stoode vpon his feete.
22 ಯೆಹೋವಾಹಾಜನ ದಿವಸಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅರಾಮಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ಹಜಾಯೇಲನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರನ್ನು ಬಾಧೆಪಡಿಸಿದನು.
But Hazael King of Aram vexed Israel all the dayes of Iehoahaz.
23 ಆದರೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನ, ಇಸಾಕನ, ಯಾಕೋಬನ ಸಂಗಡ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಿಗೆ ಕೃಪೆತೋರಿಸಿ ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಅನುಕಂಪಗೊಂಡರು. ಅವರನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡಲು, ಆತನು ಅವರನ್ನು ತನ್ನಿಂದ ತೊರೆದುಬಿಡಲು ಅವರನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಿಂದ ಹೊರಡಿಸಲು ಮನಸ್ಸು ಮಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.
Therefore the Lord had mercy on them and pitied them, and had respect vnto them because of his couenant with Abraham, Izhak, and Iaakob, and would not destroy them, neither cast he them from him as yet.
24 ಅರಾಮಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ಹಜಾಯೇಲನು ಮರಣಹೊಂದಿದನು. ಅವನ ಮಗ ಬೆನ್ಹದದನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಅರಸನಾದನು.
So Hazael the King of Aram dyed: and Ben-hadad his sonne reigned in his stead.
25 ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋವಾಹಾಜನ ಮಗ ಯೋವಾಷನು ಯುದ್ಧದಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆ ಯೆಹೋವಾಹಾಜನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಹಜಾಯೇಲನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನು ಅವನ ಮಗ ಬೆನ್ಹದದನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ತಿರುಗಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡನು. ಯೋವಾಷನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಮೂರು ಸಾರಿ ಸೋಲಿಸಿ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನು ತಿರುಗಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡನು.
Therefore Iehoash the sonne of Iehoahaz returned, and tooke out of the hand of Ben-hadad the sonne of Hazael the cities which he had taken away by warre out of the hand of Iehoahaz his father: for three times did Ioash beate him, and restored the cities vnto Israel.
