ಕೀರ್ತನೆಗಳು 1

1 ೧ ಯಾರು ದುಷ್ಟರ ಆಲೋಚನೆಯಂತೆ ನಡೆಯದೆ, ಪಾಪಾತ್ಮರ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತುಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ, ಧರ್ಮನಿಂದಕರೊಡನೆ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ,

BOOK I HAPPY IS the man that hath not walked in the counsel of the wicked, nor stood in the way of sinners, nor sat in the seat of the scornful.

2 ೨ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಧರ್ಮಶಾಸ್ತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂತೋಷಿಸುತ್ತಾ, ಅದನ್ನೇ ಹಗಲಿರುಳು ಧ್ಯಾನಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವವನು ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಧನ್ಯನು.

But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in His law doth he meditate day and night.

3 ೩ ನೀರಿನ ಕಾಲುವೆಗಳ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳೆದಿರುವ ಮರದ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವನಿರುವನು. ಅಂಥ ಮರವು ಸೂಕ್ತಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಫಲಕೊಡುತ್ತದಲ್ಲಾ. ಅದರ ಎಲೆ ಬಾಡುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಅದರಂತೆ ಅವನ ಕಾರ್ಯವೆಲ್ಲವೂ ಸಫಲವಾಗುವುದು.

And he shall be like a tree planted by streams of water, that bringeth forth its fruit in its season, and whose leaf doth not wither; and in whatsoever he doeth he shall prosper.

4 ೪ ದುಷ್ಟರೋ ಹಾಗಲ್ಲ; ಅವರು ಗಾಳಿ ಬಡಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವ ಹೊಟ್ಟಿನಂತೆ ಇದ್ದಾರೆ.

Not so the wicked; but they are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

5 ೫ ಆದುದರಿಂದ ದುಷ್ಟರು ನ್ಯಾಯವಿಚಾರಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಪಾಪಾತ್ಮರು ನೀತಿವಂತರ ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನಿಲ್ಲುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

Therefore the wicked shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

6 ೬ ಯೆಹೋವನು ನೀತಿವಂತರ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಲಕ್ಷಿಸುವನು; ದುಷ್ಟರ ಮಾರ್ಗವೋ ನಾಶವಾಗುವುದು.

For the LORD regardeth the way of the righteous; but the way of the wicked shall perish.
