ಜ್ಞಾನೋಕ್ತಿಗಳು 15

1 ೧ ಮೃದುವಾದ ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವು ಸಿಟ್ಟನ್ನಾರಿಸುವುದು, ಬಿರುನುಡಿಯು ಸಿಟ್ಟನ್ನೇರಿಸುವುದು.

A soft answer, turneth away wrath, but a cutting word raiseth anger.

2 ೨ ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳ ನಾಲಿಗೆಯು ತಿಳಿವಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಸಾರ್ಥಕ ಮಾಡುವುದು, ಜ್ಞಾನಹೀನರ ಬಾಯಿಯು ಮೂರ್ಖತನವನ್ನು ಕಾರುವುದು.

The tongue of the wise, adorneth knowledge, —but, the mouth of dullards, belcheth out folly.

3 ೩ ಯೆಹೋವನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯು ಎಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇರುವುದು, ಆತನು ಕೆಟ್ಟವರನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯವರನ್ನು ನೋಡುತ್ತಲೇ ಇರುವನು.

In every place, are the eyes of Yahweh, observing the evil and the good.

4 ೪ ಸಂತೈಸುವ ನಾಲಿಗೆ ಜೀವವೃಕ್ಷವು, ಬಲತ್ಕರಿಸುವ ನಾಲಿಗೆ ಮನಮುರಿಯುವುದು.

Gentleness of the tongue, is a tree of life, but, crookedness therein, a grievous wound in the spirit.

5 ೫ ಮೂರ್ಖನು ತಂದೆಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಯನ್ನು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸುವನು, ಗದರಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸುವವನು ಜಾಣನು.

A foolish [son], spurneth the correction of his father, but, he that heedeth a reproof, sheweth prudence.

6 ೬ ಶಿಷ್ಟನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ದೊಡ್ಡ ನಿಧಿ, ದುಷ್ಟನ ಆದಾಯವು ನಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ದಾರಿ.

The household of the righteous man, is a great treasure, but, in the increase of the lawless, is disturbance.

7 ೭ ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳ ತುಟಿಗಳು ತಿಳಿವಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಬಿತ್ತುವವು. ಜ್ಞಾನಹೀನರ ಹೃದಯವು ಅದನ್ನು ಬಿತ್ತುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.

The lips of the wise, scatter abroad knowledge, but, the heart of dullards, is not right.

8 ೮ ದುಷ್ಟರ ಯಜ್ಞ ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಅಸಹ್ಯ, ಶಿಷ್ಟರ ಬಿನ್ನಹ ಆತನಿಗೆ ಇಷ್ಟ.

The sacrifice of lawless men, is an abomination to Yahweh, but, the prayer of the upright, is his delight.

9 ೯ ದುಷ್ಟನ ನಡತೆಯು ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಅಸಹ್ಯ, ಧರ್ಮಾಸಕ್ತನು ಆತನಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಿಯ.

An abomination to Yahweh, is the way of the lawless, but, the pursuer of righteousness, he loveth.

10 ೧೦ ಧರ್ಮಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟವನಿಗೆ ತೀಕ್ಷ್ಣ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ, ಗದರಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳದವನಿಗೆ ಸಾವು.

There is, grievous correction, for him that forsaketh the right path, He that hateth rebuke, shall die.

11 ೧೧ ಪಾತಾಳವೂ, ನಾಶಲೋಕವೂ ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಗೋಚರವಾಗಿರುವಲ್ಲಿ ನರವಂಶದವರ ಹೃದಯಗಳು ಆತನಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತೂ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟ. (Sheol h7585)

Hades and destruction, are before Yahweh, how much more then, the hearts of the sons of men. (Sheol h7585)

12 ೧೨ ಧರ್ಮನಿಂದಕನು ಗದರಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳನು, ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳ ಸಂಗಡ ಸೇರನು.

A scoffer, loveth not, one who reproveth him, unto the wise, doth he not go.

13 ೧೩ ಹರ್ಷ ಹೃದಯದಿಂದ ಹಸನ್ಮುಖ, ಮನೋವ್ಯಥೆಯಿಂದ ಆತ್ಮಭಂಗ.

A joyful heart, maketh a pleasing countenance, —but, in sorrow of heart, is a stricken spirit.

14 ೧೪ ವಿವೇಕಿಯ ಹೃದಯ ತಿಳಿವಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುವುದು, ಮೂಢರ ಬಾಯಿ ಮೂರ್ಖತನವನ್ನು ಮುಕ್ಕುವುದು.

The heart of the intelligent, seeketh knowledge, but, the mouth of dullards, feedeth on folly.

15 ೧೫ ದೀನನ ದಿನಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ದುಃಖಭರಿತ, ಹರ್ಷಹೃದಯನಿಗೆ ನಿತ್ಯವೂ ಔತಣ.

All the days of the afflicted, are sorrowful, but, a cheerful heart, is a continual banquet.

16 ೧೬ ಕಳವಳದಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿದ ಬಹುಧನಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಭಯದಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿದ ಅಲ್ಪ ಧನವೇ ಲೇಸು.

Better is a little, with the reverence of Yahweh, than great treasure, and disquietude therewith.

17 ೧೭ ದ್ವೇಷವಿರುವಲ್ಲಿ ಮೃಷ್ಟಾನ್ನಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ, ಪ್ರೇಮವಿರುವಲ್ಲಿ ಸೊಪ್ಪಿನ ಊಟವೇ ಉತ್ತಮ.

Better is an allowance of herbs, and love, there, than a fatted ox, and hatred therewith.

18 ೧೮ ಕೋಪಿಷ್ಠನು ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನೆಬ್ಬಿಸುವನು, ದೀರ್ಘಶಾಂತನು ಜಗಳವನ್ನು ಶಮನಪಡಿಸುವನು.

A wrathful man, stirreth up strife, but, he that is slow to anger, calmeth contention.

19 ೧೯ ಸೋಮಾರಿಯ ಮಾರ್ಗ ಮುಳ್ಳುಬೇಲಿ, ಯಥಾರ್ಥವಂತನ ಮಾರ್ಗ ರಾಜಮಾರ್ಗ.

The way of the sluggard, is like a thorn hedge, but, the path of the upright, is a raised road.

20 ೨೦ ಜ್ಞಾನವಂತನಾದ ಮಗನು ತಂದೆಯನ್ನು ಉಲ್ಲಾಸಗೊಳಿಸುವನು, ಜ್ಞಾನಹೀನನು ತಾಯಿಯನ್ನು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸುವನು.

A wise son, maketh a glad father, —but, a dullard, despiseth his own mother.

21 ೨೧ ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನನು ಮೂರ್ಖತನದಲ್ಲಿ ಆನಂದಿಸುವನು, ಬುದ್ಧಿವಂತನು ತನ್ನ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಸರಳಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು.

Folly, is joy to him that lacketh sense, —but, a man of understanding, taketh a straight course.

22 ೨೨ ಆಲೋಚನೆ ಹೇಳುವವರಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಉದ್ದೇಶಗಳು ನೆರವೇರವು, ಬಹು ಮಂದಿ ಆಲೋಚನಾಪರರು ಇರುವಲ್ಲಿ ಅವು ನೆರವೇರುವವು.

Plans, are frustrated, for lack of consultation, but, by the multitude of counsellors, shall counsel, be established.

23 ೨೩ ತಕ್ಕ ಉತ್ತರಕೊಡುವವನಿಗೆ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಸಂತೋಷ! ಸಮಯೋಚಿತವಾದ ನುಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಸ್ವಾರಸ್ಯ!

A man hath joy, in the answer of his own mouth, and, a word in its season, —how good!

24 ೨೪ ಜೀವದ ಮಾರ್ಗವು ವಿವೇಕಿಯನ್ನು ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆತ್ತುವುದು; ಅದು ಅವನನ್ನು ಪಾತಾಳದಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸುವುದು. (Sheol h7585)

The way of life, is upwards to the prudent, that he may depart from hades beneath. (Sheol h7585)

25 ೨೫ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಗರ್ವಿಷ್ಠನ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಕೆಡವಿಬಿಡುವನು; ವಿಧವೆಯ ಮೇರೆಯನ್ನು ನೆಲೆಗೊಳಿಸುವನು.

The house of proud men, will Yahweh tear down, but he will maintain the boundary of the widow.

26 ೨೬ ಕುಯುಕ್ತಿಯು ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಅಸಹ್ಯ, ನಯನುಡಿಯು ಆತನಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಿಯ.

An abomination to Yahweh, are the plottings of the wicked, but, with the pure, are sayings of sweetness.

27 ೨೭ ಸೂರೆಮಾಡುವವನು ಸ್ವಂತ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಬಾಧಿಸುವನು. ಲಂಚವನ್ನೊಪ್ಪದವನು ಸುಖವಾಗಿ ಬಾಳುವನು.

He, troubleth his own house, who graspeth with greed, but, he that hateth gifts, shall live.

28 ೨೮ ಶಿಷ್ಟನ ಹೃದಯ ವಿವೇಚಿಸಿ ಉತ್ತರಕೊಡುತ್ತದೆ, ದುಷ್ಟನ ಬಾಯಿ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಕಾರುತ್ತದೆ.

The heart of the righteous, studieth to answer, but, the mouth of the lawless, belcheth out mischiefs.

29 ೨೯ ಯೆಹೋವನು ದುಷ್ಟರಿಗೆ ದೂರ, ಶಿಷ್ಟರ ಬಿನ್ನಹಕ್ಕೆ ಹತ್ತಿರ.

Far off is Yahweh, from the lawless, but, the prayer of the righteous, will he hear.

30 ೩೦ ಹಸನ್ಮುಖ ಹೃದಯಕ್ಕೆ ಆನಂದ, ಶುಭಸಮಾಚಾರ ದೇಹಕ್ಕೆ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ.

The sparkling of bright eyes, rejoiceth the heart, Good news, giveth marrow to the bones.

31 ೩೧ ಜೀವಪ್ರದವಾದ ಗದರಿಕೆಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡುವವನು, ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ನೆಲೆಗೊಳ್ಳುವನು.

The ear that heareth the reproof which giveth life, in the midst of the wise, shall remain.

32 ೩೨ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಯನ್ನು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸುವವನು ತನ್ನನ್ನೇ ನಿರಾಕರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು, ಗದರಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳುವವನು ಬುದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುವನು.

He that declineth correction, despiseth his own soul, but, he that heareth reproof, gaineth sense.

33 ೩೩ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಭಯವೇ ಜ್ಞಾನೋಪದೇಶ, ಗೌರವಕ್ಕೆ ಮೊದಲು ವಿನಯ.

The reverence of Yahweh, is the correction of wisdom, and, before honour, is humility.
