ಮೀಕನು 5
1 ೧ ಚಿಯೋನ್ ನಗರವೇ ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇನಾವ್ಯೂಹಗಳನ್ನು ಈಗ ಒಟ್ಟುಗೂಡಿಸು. ಆಹಾ ಶತ್ರುಗಳು ನಮಗೆ ಮುತ್ತಿಗೆ ಹಾಕಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅಧಿಪತಿಯ ಕೆನ್ನೆಗೆ ಕೋಲಿನಿಂದ ಹೊಡೆಯುವರು.
‘Now cut yourself in bitter grief, daughter besieged by soldiers. They have set a wall around you. They strike the ruler of Israel, in the face with a rod.
2 ೨ ಎಫ್ರಾತದ ಬೇತ್ಲೆಹೇಮೇ, ನೀನು ಯೆಹೂದದ ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿಕ್ಕದ್ದಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನ್ನು ಆಳತಕ್ಕವನು ನಿನ್ನೊಳಗಿಂದ ನನಗಾಗಿ ಹೊರಡುವನು. ಆತನ ಕುಲದ ಮೂಲವು ಪುರಾತನವೂ ಮತ್ತು ಅನಾದಿಯೂ ಆದದ್ದು.
‘Bethlehem in Ephrathah, small among the tribes of Judah, from you will come a king who will rule for me over Israel, whose family line goes back to the distant past.’
3 ೩ ಹೀಗಿರಲು ಪ್ರಸವವೇದನೆ ಪಡತಕ್ಕವಳು ಮಗನನ್ನು ಹೆರುವವರೆಗೂ ನನ್ನ ಜನರು ಶತ್ರುವಶವಾಗಿರುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವೆನು. ಅನಂತರ ಆ ಮಗನ ಸಹೋದರರಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿದವರು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗುವರು
So the Lord will only abandon Israel to its enemies until the woman in labour gives birth. Then the survivors will be reunited with their own people.
4 ೪ ಆತನು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಬಲವನ್ನೂ, ತನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನ ನಾಮದ ಮಹಿಮೆಯನ್ನೂ ಹೊಂದಿದವನಾಗಿ ನಿಂತು ತನ್ನ ಹಿಂಡನ್ನು ಮೇಯಿಸುವನು. ಆ ಹಿಂಡು ನೆಮ್ಮದಿಯಾಗಿ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿರುವುದು. ಆತನು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಕಟ್ಟಕಡೆಯವರೆಗೂ ಪ್ರಬಲನಾಗಿರುವನು.
And he will stand and shepherd by the strength of the Lord, In the exalted name of the Lord his God; And they will live in security, for now he will be great, even to the ends of the earth.
5 ೫ ಆತನೇ ನಮಗೆ ಸಮಾಧಾನಪ್ರದನು. ಅಶ್ಶೂರ್ಯರು ನಮ್ಮ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ನುಗ್ಗಿ, ನಮ್ಮ ಅರಮನೆಗಳನ್ನು ತುಳಿದುಹಾಕುವಾಗ, ನಾವು ಅವರಿಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಏಳು ಪಾಲಕರನ್ನು ಹೌದು ಎಂಟು ಪುರುಷಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠರನ್ನು ನೇಮಿಸುವೆವು.
This will be our peace: when Assyria comes into our land and treads on our soil, we will raise up against him seven shepherds, eight leaders of men.
6 ೬ ಅವರ ಶಸ್ತ್ರಾಸ್ತ್ರಗಳು ಅಶ್ಶೂರ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಧ್ವಂಸಮಾಡುವುದು. ನಿಮ್ರೋದ್ ಸೀಮೆಯ ಪ್ರವೇಶಸ್ಥಾನಗಳು ಅವರ ಖಡ್ಗಕ್ಕೆ ತುತ್ತಾಗುವವು. ಅಶ್ಶೂರ್ಯರು ನಮ್ಮ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ನುಗ್ಗಿ, ನಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯವನ್ನು ತುಳಿದುಹಾಕುವಾಗ ಆ ಸಮಾಧಾನಪ್ರದನು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಅವರ ಕೈಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಉದ್ಧರಿಸುವನು.
They will shepherd Assyria with a sword, and the land of Nimrod with bared blades. They will deliver us from Assyria, when they come into our land, and tread within our borders.
7 ೭ ಯೆಹೋವನ ವರವಾದ ಇಬ್ಬನಿಯೂ ಮತ್ತು ಹುಲ್ಲನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಯಿಸುವ ಹದಮಳೆಗಳೂ ಮಾನವರ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಹೇಗೆ ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಯಾಗಿ ಬೆಳೆಯುವವು, ಮಾನವರ ನೆರವನ್ನು ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿಸದೆ ಹೇಗೆ ಹಿತಕರವಾಗಿರುವವೋ, ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಯಾಕೋಬಿನ ಜನಶೇಷವು ಬಹು ಜನಾಂಗಗಳ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿತಕರವಾಗಿರುವುದು.
And the survivors of Jacob will be disbursed among the nations, in the midst of many peoples, like dew from the Lord, like showers on the grass, which don’t wait for people to come or linger for mortals.
8 ೮ ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಸಿಂಹವು ಕಾಡುಮೃಗಗಳನ್ನು, ಪ್ರಾಯದ ಸಿಂಹವು ಕುರಿಹಿಂಡುಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾದುಹೋಗುವಾಗೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಯಾರೂ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಲಾರದಂತೆ ತುಳಿದು, ಸೀಳಿಹಾಕುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಯಾಕೋಬಿನ ಜನಶೇಷವು ದೇಶದೇಶಗಳ, ಬಹು ಜನಾಂಗಗಳ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಶಕರವಾಗಿರುವರು.
And the survivors of Jacob will be disbursed among the nations, in the midst of many peoples, like a lion among the beasts of the forest, like a young lion among the sheep-folds, who, when he passes through, pounces. He savages his prey. There is no rescuer.
Let your hand triumph over your adversaries, let all your enemies be cut off.
10 ೧೦ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಇಂತೆನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ, “ಆ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಕುದುರೆಗಳನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನೊಳಗಿಂದ ಕಡಿದುಬಿಡುವೆನು. ನಿನ್ನ ರಥಗಳನ್ನು ನಾಶಗೊಳಿಸುವೆನು.
On that day, says the Lord: ‘I will slaughter your horses from your midst, and destroy your chariots.
I will devastate the cities in your land, and tear down your fortresses.
I will destroy your magic charms, and you will have no soothsayers.
13 ೧೩ ನಿನ್ನ ಮೂರ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನು, ಕಲ್ಲುಕಂಬಗಳನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಲ್ಲದಂತೆ ಒಡೆದುಹಾಕುವೆನು. ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈರೂಪಿಸಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಇನ್ನು ಪೂಜಿಸದಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವೆ.
I will cut down your idols and sacred pillars, and you will not worship any more the work of your hands.
14 ೧೪ ನಿನ್ನ ಅಶೇರವೆಂಬ ವಿಗ್ರಹಸ್ತಂಭಗಳನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮಧ್ಯದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಕಿತ್ತುಬಿಟ್ಟು, ನಿನ್ನ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮೂಲಮಾಡುವೆನು.
I will uproot your sacred poles, and destroy your idols.
In my wrath and my anger I will seek vengeance on the nations that ignore me.’
