ಮೀಕನು 2

1 ೧ ತಮ್ಮ ಹಾಸಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಲಗಿರುವಾಗಲೇ ಅನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ಯೋಚಿಸಿ, ಕೇಡನ್ನು ಕಲ್ಪಿಸುವವರ ಗತಿಯನ್ನು ಏನು ಹೇಳಲಿ. ಉದಯದ ಬೆಳಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅದನ್ನು ನಡಿಸುವರು, ಅದು ಅವರ ಕೈವಶವಷ್ಟೇ.

Alas for them who devise iniquity and work wickedness upon their beds, —in the light of the morning, they will execute it, for it is in the power of their hand.

2 ೨ ಹೊಲಗದ್ದೆಗಳನ್ನು ದುರಾಶೆಯಿಂದ ಆಕ್ರಮಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಮನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಲೋಭದಿಂದ ಅಪಹರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಮನೆಯನ್ನೂ, ಮನೆಯವನನ್ನೂ ಮತ್ತು ಅವನ ಸ್ವತ್ತನ್ನೂ ತುಳಿದುಬಿಡುತ್ತಾರೆ.

Thus do they covet fields and seize them, and houses and take them away, —and so they oppress the master and his household, the man and his inheritance.

3 ೩ ಆದಕಾರಣ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಇಂತೆನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ, “ಇಗೋ ಈ ವಂಶಕ್ಕೆ ನಾನೇ ಕೇಡನ್ನು ಕಲ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ, ಅದರ ಭಾರದಿಂದ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕುತ್ತಿಗೆಗಳನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾರಿರಿ, ನೀವು ತಲೆಯೆತ್ತಿ ನಡೆಯುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗದು. ಅದು ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಕಾಲವೇ ಸರಿ.

Therefore, —Thus, saith Yahweh, Behold me! devising, against this family, a calamity, —from which ye shall not remove your neck, neither shall ye walk loftily, for, a time of calamity, shall it be.

4 ೪ ಆ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಜನರು ನಿಮ್ಮ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಅಪಹಾಸ್ಯ ಮಾಡಿ ಲಾವಣಿಕಟ್ಟಿ ಹಾಡುವರು. ‘ಅಯ್ಯೋ, ನಾವು ತೀರಾ ಸೂರೆಹೋದೆವಲ್ಲಾ ಯೆಹೋವನು ನಮ್ಮವರ ಸ್ವತ್ತನ್ನು ಪರಾಧೀನಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಅಯ್ಯೋ, ಅದನ್ನು ನಮ್ಮಿಂದ ತೊಲಗಿಸಿದ್ದಾನಲ್ಲಾ, ನಮ್ಮ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ದೇವದ್ರೋಹಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಹಂಚಿಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆ’” ಎಂದು ಶೋಕಗೀತವಾಗಿ ಹಾಡುವರು.

In that day, shall one take up against you a by-word, and lament a lamentable lamentation, saying—we are made, utterly desolate, the portion of my people, he passeth to others, —How doth he set me aside! To an apostate, our fields, doth he apportion.

5 ೫ ಹೀಗಿರಲು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಸಭೆಯವರ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಚೀಟು ಹಾಕಿ ನೂಲೆಳೆಯಲಿಕ್ಕೆ ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರೂ ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

Therefore, shalt thou have none to throw a measuring-line by lot, —in the convocation of Yahweh.

6 ೬ ಆಹಾ, ಆ ಕೆಡುಕರು “ಪ್ರವಾದನೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಡಿರಿ. ಇಂಥ ವಿಷಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವಾದನೆಯನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಬಾರದು, ದೂಷಣೆಗಳು ತೊಲಗುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ” ಎಂದು ಪ್ರವಾದನೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ.

Do not sputter—So they sputter! They must not sputter as to these things, Must he not put away reproaches?

7 ೭ ಯಾಕೋಬ ವಂಶವೇ, “ಯೆಹೋವನ ಆತ್ಮವು ತಾಳ್ಮೆಯಿಲ್ಲದ್ದೋ? ಇಂಥ ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳು ಆತನವೋ” ಎಂದು ಏಕೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೀ? ನನ್ನ ನುಡಿಗಳು ಸನ್ಮಾರ್ಗಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಹಿತಕರವಷ್ಟೇ.

O thou who art said to be the house of Jacob, Is the spirit of Yahweh, impatient? Or are, these, his doings? Are not, his words, pleasant to him who is upright in his walk?

8 ೮ ನನ್ನ ಜನರೋ ಕೆಲವು ಕಾಲದಿಂದ ಶತ್ರುಗಳಾಗಿ ಎದ್ದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಜಗಳವನ್ನೊಲ್ಲದೆ ನಿರ್ಭಯವಾಗಿ ಹೋಗಿ ಬರುವವರ ಮೇಲಂಗಿಯನ್ನು ಕಿತ್ತುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೀರಿ.

But, against my people, as an enemy, he setteth himself, from off the robe, they tear away, the cloak, —from such as are passing by with confidence, as men averse from war.

9 ೯ ನನ್ನ ಜನರ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರನ್ನು, ಅವರ ಪ್ರಿಯವಾದ ಮನೆಗಳಿಂದ ತಳ್ಳಿಹಾಕುತ್ತೀರಿ. ಅವರ ಸಣ್ಣ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ನನ್ನ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದದ ಹಕ್ಕನ್ನು ಇನ್ನೆಂದಿಗೂ ಸಿಕ್ಕದಂತೆ ತಪ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತೀರಿ.

The wives of my people, ye do even drive out, each from the house of her darlings, —from over her children, ye do take away mine ornament, as long as life shall last.

10 ೧೦ ಏಳಿರಿ, ತೊಲಗಿರಿ, ಈ ದೇಶವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸುಖವಸತಿಯಾಗದು. ನಾಶನವನ್ನು, ವಿಪರೀತ ನಾಶನವನ್ನು ಉಂಟುಮಾಡುವ ಹೊಲಸು ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಂಟಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ.

Arise ye and depart, for, this, is not the place of rest, —Because it is defiled, it shall make desolate with a desolation that is ruthless.

11 ೧೧ ಗಾಳಿಯನ್ನೂ, ಮೋಸವನ್ನೂ ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸುವ ಸುಳ್ಳುಗಾರನೊಬ್ಬನು, “ನಾನು ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸ, ಮಧ್ಯಗಳ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ನಿನಗೆ ಪ್ರವಾದನೆ ಮಾಡುವೆನು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರೆ, ಈ ಜನರು ಅಂಥವನನ್ನು ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು.

If there be a man, who goeth after wind, and, falsehood, hath woven, [saying] —I will discourse to thee, concerning wine and strong drink, then shall he become a fountain of discourse unto this people.

12 ೧೨ ಯಾಕೋಬೇ ನಿನ್ನವರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನು ಒಂದುಗೂಡಿಸುವೆನು. ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಉಳಿದ ಜನರನ್ನು ಒಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿಸುವೆನು. ಅವರನ್ನು ಹಟ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿನ ಕುರಿಗಳಂತೆ ಒಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಇಡುವೆನು. ಹುಲ್ಲುಗಾವಲಿನ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿನ ಮಂದೆಯ ಹಾಗೆ ಗುಂಪು ಕೂಡಿಸುವೆನು. ಜನರು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಶಬ್ದಮಾಡುವರು.

I will, surely assemble, O Jacob, all of thee, I will, surely gather, the remnant of Israel, at once, will I make them like sheep in distress, —Like a flock in the midst of its pasture, shall they hum with men,

13 ೧೩ ಹೊಡೆದು ಹೋಗುವವನು ಅವರ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೊರಟಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಅವರೂ ಬಾಗಿಲನ್ನು ಒಡೆದು ನುಗ್ಗಿ ಹೊರಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರ ಅರಸನು ಅವರ ಮುಂದೆ ತೆರಳಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಯೆಹೋವನು ಅವರ ಮುಂಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

One making a breach, hath gone up, before them, they have broken in, and passed through, and, by the gate, have departed, —and their king, hath passed through, before them, with, Yahweh, at their head!
