ಯೋಹಾನನು 5

1 ೧ ಇದಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ಒಂದು ಜಾತ್ರೆ ಇದ್ದುದರಿಂದ ಯೇಸು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಹೋದನು.

After these things, there was a Jewish festival, and Yeshua went up to Jerusalem.

2 ೨ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಕುರಿಬಾಗಿಲು ಎಂಬ ಸ್ಥಳದ ಬಳಿ ಐದು ಮಂಟಪಗಳಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿದ ಒಂದು ಕೊಳವಿದೆ. ಅದನ್ನು ಇಬ್ರಿಯ ಭಾಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬೇತ್ಸಥಾ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ.

Now in Jerusalem by the sheep area there is a pool, which is called in Hebrew, "Beth Hesda," having five porches.

3 ೩ ಇವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥರೂ, ರೋಗಿಗಳೂ, ಕುರುಡರೂ, ಕುಂಟರೂ, ಪಾರ್ಶ್ವವಾಯು ಪೀಡಿತರು ಮೊದಲಾದ ಅನೇಕ ರೋಗಿಗಳು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದುಕೊಂಡಿರುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. (ನೀರು ಕಲಕುವುದನ್ನು ಕಾದುಕೊಂಡು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದುಕೊಂಡಿರುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಆಗಾಗ ಒಬ್ಬ ದೂತನು ಬಂದು ಕೊಳದ ನೀರನ್ನು ಕಲಕಿಹೊಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು. ಆಗ ಮೊದಲು ಯಾರು ಕೊಳದೊಳಗೆ ಇಳಿಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೋ ಅವರ ರೋಗವು ವಾಸಿಯಾಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.)

In these lay a multitude of those who were sick, blind, lame, or paralyzed.

4 ೪

5 ೫ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂವತ್ತೆಂಟು ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ರೋಗಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿದ್ದನು.

A certain man was there, who had been sick for thirty-eight years.

6 ೬ ಅವನು ಬಿದ್ದುಕೊಂಡಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಯೇಸು ನೋಡಿ ಇವನಿಗೆ ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ಬಹು ಕಾಲವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಅರಿತು ಅವನಿಗೆ “ನಿನಗೆ ಗುಣಹೊಂದಲು ಮನಸ್ಸಿದೆಯೋ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು.

When Yeshua saw him lying there, and knew that he had been sick for a long time, he asked him, "Do you want to be made well?"

7 ೭ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಆ ರೋಗಿಯು “ಆಯ್ಯಾ, ನೀರು ಉಕ್ಕುವಾಗ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೊಳದೊಳಗೆ ಇಳಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಯಾರೂ ಇಲ್ಲ. ನಾನು ಹೋಗುವುದರೊಳಗೆ ನನಗಿಂತ ಮೊದಲು ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನು ಇಳಿಯುತ್ತಾನೆ” ಎಂದನು.

The sick man answered him, "Sir, I have no one to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up, but while I am on my way, someone else steps down ahead of me."

8 ೮ ಯೇಸು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ಎದ್ದು ನಿನ್ನ ಹಾಸಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ನಡೆ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

Yeshua said to him, "Arise, take up your mat, and walk."

9 ೯ ಕೂಡಲೇ ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಸ್ವಸ್ಥನಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಹಾಸಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ನಡೆದನು. ಅಂದು ಸಬ್ಬತ್ ದಿನವಾಗಿತ್ತು,

Immediately, the man was made well, and took up his mat and walked. Now it was the Sabbath on that day.

10 ೧೦ ಆದುದರಿಂದ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರು ಸ್ವಸ್ಥವಾದವನಿಗೆ, “ಈ ದಿನ ಸಬ್ಬತ್ ದಿನವಾದುದರಿಂದ ನೀನು ಹಾಸಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವುದು ಧರ್ಮಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿದೆಯೆಂದು” ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ,

So the Jewish leaders said to him who was cured, "It is the Sabbath. It is not lawful for you to carry the mat."

11 ೧೧ ಅವನು, “ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಮಾಡಿದವನೇ ‘ನಿನ್ನ ಹಾಸಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡು ನಡೆ’ ಎಂದು ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದನು” ಎಂದನು.

But he answered them, "The one who made me well, that one said to me, 'Take up your mat, and walk.'"

12 ೧೨ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ಅದನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡು ನಡೆ ಎಂದು ನಿನಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಯಾರು?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದರು.

Then they asked him, "Who is the man who said to you to pick it up and walk?"

13 ೧೩ ಆದರೆ ಆತನು ಯಾರೆಂದು ಸ್ವಸ್ಥನಾದವನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿದಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, ಯೇಸು ಆ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದ ಜನರ ಗುಂಪಿನ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಮರೆಯಾದನು.

But the one who was healed did not know who it was, for Yeshua had withdrawn, a crowd being in the place.

14 ೧೪ ಇದಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಯೇಸು ಅವನನ್ನು ದೇವಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಂಡು, “ನಿನಗೆ ಸ್ವಸ್ಥವಾಯಿತಲ್ಲಾ; ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ಪಾಪ ಮಾಡಬೇಡ, ನಿನಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಕೇಡು ಬಂದೀತು” ಎಂದನು.

Afterward Yeshua found him in the temple, and said to him, "See, you are made well. Sin no more, so that nothing worse happens to you."

15 ೧೫ ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಹೋಗಿ, ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಪಡಿಸಿದಾತನು ಯೇಸುವೇ ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದನು.

The man went away, and told the Jewish leaders that it was Yeshua who had made him well.

16 ೧೬ ಆದಕಾರಣ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರು, ಯೇಸು ಸಬ್ಬತ್ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂಥಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನಲ್ಲಾ ಎಂದು ಆತನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಸಿಸತೊಡಗಿದರು.

For this cause the Jewish leaders persecuted Yeshua, because he did these things on the Sabbath.

17 ೧೭ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯು ಇಂದಿನವರೆಗೂ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆ, ನಾನೂ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

But he answered them, "My Father is still working, so I am working, too."

18 ೧೮ ಯೇಸು ಈ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದರಿಂದ, ಆತನು ಸಬ್ಬತ್ ದಿನವನ್ನು ಅಲಕ್ಷ್ಯಮಾಡಿದ್ದಲ್ಲದೇ, ದೇವರನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಸ್ವಂತ ತಂದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಸರಿಸಮಾನ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡನೆಂದು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರು ಆತನನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಪಟ್ಟರು.

For this cause therefore the Jewish leaders sought all the more to kill him, because he not only broke the Sabbath, but also called God his own Father, making himself equal with God.

19 ೧೯ ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನಿಮಗೆ ನಿಜನಿಜವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ, ತಂದೆಯು ಮಾಡುವುದನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಮಗನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆಯೇ, ಹೊರತು ತನ್ನಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ತಾನೇ ಏನೂ ಮಾಡಲಾರನು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಆತನು ಯಾವುದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮಾಡುವನೋ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಮಗನೂ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.

Yeshua therefore answered them, "Truly, truly, I tell you, the Son can do nothing of himself, but what he sees the Father doing. For whatever things he does, these the Son also does likewise.

20 ೨೦ ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, ತಂದೆಯು ಮಗನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ, ತಾನು ಮಾಡುವುದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅವನಿಗೆ ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಇವುಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ಮಹತ್ತಾದ ಕೆಲಸಗಳನ್ನು ಆತನಿಗೆ ತೋರಿಸುವನು. ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ನಿಮಗೆ ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯವಾಗುವುದು.

For the Father loves the Son, and shows him all things that he himself does. He will show him greater works than these, so that you may marvel.

21 ೨೧ ತಂದೆಯು ಹೇಗೆ ಸತ್ತವರನ್ನು ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಿ ಬದುಕಿಸುತ್ತಾನೋ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಮಗನು ಸಹ ತನಗೆ ಬೇಕಾದವರನ್ನು ಬದುಕಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.

For as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son also gives life to whom he desires.

22 ೨೨ ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ತಂದೆಯು ಯಾರಿಗೂ ತೀರ್ಪುಮಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಆದರೆ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ತೀರ್ಪನ್ನು ಮಗನಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

For the Father judges no one, but he has given all judgment to the Son,

23 ೨೩ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ತಂದೆಯನ್ನು ಯಾವ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಗೌರವಿಸುವರೋ ಅದೇ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಗನನ್ನೂ ಗೌರವಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಮಗನನ್ನು ಗೌರವಿಸದವನು ಆತನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ ತಂದೆಯನ್ನು ಗೌರವಿಸಲಾರನು.

that all may honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him.

24 ೨೪ ನಿಮಗೆ ನಿಜನಿಜವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ ನನ್ನ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದಾತನನ್ನು ನಂಬುವವನು ನಿತ್ಯ ಜೀವವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದಾನೆ, ಅವನು ಖಂಡನೆಗೆ ಗುರಿಯಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಮರಣದಿಂದ ಪಾರಾಗಿ ಜೀವದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರಿದ್ದಾನೆ. (aiōnios g166)

"Truly, truly, I tell you, he who hears my word, and believes him who sent me, has everlasting life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life. (aiōnios g166)

25 ೨೫ ನಿಮಗೆ ನಿಜನಿಜವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ ಸತ್ತವರು ದೇವಕುಮಾರನ ಸ್ವರವನ್ನು ಕೇಳುವ ಕಾಲ ಬರುತ್ತದೆ, ಅದು ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಬಂದಿದೆ, ಕೇಳಿದವರು ಬದುಕುವರು.

Truly, truly, I tell you, the hour comes, and now is, when the dead will hear the Son of God's voice; and those who hear will live.

26 ೨೬ ತಂದೆಯು ತಾನು ಹೇಗೆ ಸ್ವತಃ ಜೀವವುಳ್ಳವನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೋ, ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಮಗನೂ ಸ್ವತಃ ಜೀವವುಳ್ಳವನಾಗಿರುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

For as the Father has life in himself, even so he gave to the Son also to have life in himself.

27 ೨೭ ಮಗನು ಮನುಷ್ಯಕುಮಾರನಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರ್ಪು ಮಾಡುವ ಅಧಿಕಾರವನ್ನೂ ತಂದೆ ಆತನಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

He also gave him authority to execute judgment, because he is the Son of Man.

28 ೨೮ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯಪಡಬೇಡಿರಿ. ಒಂದು ಕಾಲ ಬರುತ್ತದೆ, ಆಗಸಮಾಧಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿರುವವರೆಲ್ಲಾ ಆತನ ಸ್ವರವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ,

Do not be amazed at this, for the hour comes, in which all that are in the tombs will hear his voice,

29 ೨೯ ಎದ್ದು ಹೊರಗೆ ಬರುವರು. ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದವರಿಗೆ ನಿತ್ಯಜೀವಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಪುನರುತ್ಥಾನವಾಗುವುದು. ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದವರು ಖಂಡನೆಗಾಗಿ ಪುನರುತ್ಥಾನವನ್ನೂ ಹೊಂದುವರು.

and will come out; those who have done good, to the resurrection of life; and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of judgment.

30 ೩೦ “ನನ್ನಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ನಾನೇ ಏನೂ ಮಾಡಲಾರೆನು ತಂದೆಯು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದನ್ನು ನಾನು ಕೇಳಿ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ವಂತ ಚಿತ್ತ ನೆರವೇರಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸದೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದಾತನ ಚಿತ್ತ ನೆರವೇರಬೇಕೆಂದು ನಾನು ಬಯಸುವುದರಿಂದ ನಾನು ಮಾಡುವ ತೀರ್ಪು ನ್ಯಾಯವಾಗಿದೆ.

I can of myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge, and my judgment is righteous; because I do not seek my own will, but the will of the One who sent me.

31 ೩೧ ನನ್ನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ನಾನೇ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಹೇಳಿಕೊಂಡರೆ ನನ್ನ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯು ಸತ್ಯವಾದದ್ದಲ್ಲ.

"If I testify about myself, my witness is not valid.

32 ೩೨ ನನ್ನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಹೇಳುವವನು ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಆತನು ನನ್ನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುವ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯು ನಿಜವೆಂದು ನಾನು ಬಲ್ಲೆನು.

It is another who testifies about me. I know that the testimony which he testifies about me is true.

33 ೩೩ ನೀವು ಯೋಹಾನನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ದೂತರನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಂಡು ಬರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದಿರಿ. ಅವನು ಸತ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಹೇಳಿದನು.

You have sent to John, and he has testified to the truth.

34 ೩೪ ನಾನಂತೂ ನನಗೆ ಬೇಕಾದ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯನ್ನು ಮನುಷ್ಯರಿಂದ ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೂ ನಿಮಗೆ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯಾಗಬೇಕೆಂದು ಇದನ್ನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆ.

But the testimony which I receive is not from man. However, I say these things that you may be saved.

35 ೩೫ ಯೋಹಾನನು ಉರಿಯುವ ದೀಪದಂತೆ ಪ್ರಕಾಶಿಸಿದನು. ಅವನು ಕೊಡುವ ಬೆಳಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಕಾಲ ಅತ್ಯಾನಂದಪಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಮನಸ್ಸು ಮಾಡಿದಿರಿ.

He was the burning and shining lamp, and you were willing to rejoice for a while in his light.

36 ೩೬ ನನಗಂತೂ ಯೋಹಾನನ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಗಿಂತ ದೊಡ್ಡದಾದಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಉಂಟು. ಹೇಗೆಂದರೆ, ಪೂರೈಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ತಂದೆಯು ನನಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿರುವ ಕೆಲಸಗಳೇ, ಅಂದರೆ ನಾನು ಮಾಡುವ ಈ ಕೆಲಸಗಳೇ ತಂದೆಯು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆಂದು ನನ್ನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಕೊಡುತ್ತವೆ.

But the testimony which I have is greater than that of John, for the works which the Father gave me to accomplish, the very works that I do, testify about me, that the Father has sent me.

37 ೩೭ ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟ ತಂದೆಯು ನನ್ನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ನೀವು ಎಂದಾದರೂ ಆತನ ಸ್ವರವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದೂ ಇಲ್ಲ, ಆತನ ರೂಪವನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದ್ದೂ ಇಲ್ಲ.

The Father himself, who sent me, has testified about me. You have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his form.

38 ೩೮ ಆತನ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿಲ್ಲ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಆತನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದಾತನನ್ನು ನೀವು ನಂಬದೇ ಇದ್ದೀರಿ.

You do not have his word living in you; because you do not believe him whom he sent.

39 ೩೯ ಧರ್ಮಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಗಳಿಂದ ನಿತ್ಯಜೀವವು ದೊರೆಯುತ್ತದೆಂದು ನೀವು ತಿಳಿದು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಪರಿಶೋಧಿಸುತ್ತಿರಾ? ಅವುಗಳೂ ನನ್ನ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಕೊಡುವವುಗಳಾಗಿವೆ. (aiōnios g166)

You search the Scriptures, because you think that in them you have everlasting life; and these are they which testify about me. (aiōnios g166)

40 ೪೦ ಆದರೂ ಜೀವ ಹೊಂದುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ನಿಮಗೆ ಮನಸ್ಸಿಲ್ಲ.

But you are unwilling to come to me so that you may have life.

41 ೪೧ “ನಾನು ಮನುಷ್ಯರಿಂದ ಬರುವ ಪ್ರಶಂಸೆಯನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ,

I do not receive glory from people.

42 ೪೨ ಆದರೆ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನಾನು ಬಲ್ಲೆನು. ದೇವರ ಪ್ರೀತಿ ನಿಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ ಇಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿದಿದೆ.

But I know you, that you do not have God's love in yourselves.

43 ೪೩ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂದಿದ್ದೇನೆ ಆದರೂ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನೀವು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನು ತನ್ನ ಸ್ವಂತ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂದರೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ನೀವು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸುತ್ತೀರಿ.

I have come in my Father's name, and you do not receive me. If another comes in his own name, you will receive him.

44 ೪೪ ಒಬ್ಬನೇ ದೇವರಿಂದ ಬರುವ ಮಹಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸದೇ ನಿಮ್ಮ ನಿಮ್ಮೊಳಗೇ ಪ್ರಶಂಸೆಯನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸುವವರಾದ ನೀವು ಅದನ್ನು ನಂಬಲು ಹೇಗೆ ಸಾಧ್ಯ?

How can you believe, who receive glory from one another, and you do not seek the glory that comes from the only God?

45 ೪೫ ನಾನು ತಂದೆಯ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಅಪವಾದ ಹೊರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದು ತಿಳಿಯಬೇಡಿರಿ. ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಅಪವಾದ ಹೊರಿಸುವವನು ಒಬ್ಬನಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಅವನೇ ನೀವು ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯಿಟ್ಟಿರುವ ಮೋಶೆ!

"Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father. There is one who accuses you, even Moses, on whom you have set your hope.

46 ೪೬ ಅವನು ನನ್ನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಬರೆದನು, ಆದುದರಿಂದ ನೀವು ಮೋಶೆಯನ್ನೂ ನಂಬುವವರಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನೂ ನಂಬುತ್ತಿದ್ದಿರಿ.

For if you believed Moses, you would believe me; for he wrote about me.

47 ೪೭ ಅವನು ಧರ್ಮಶಾಸ್ತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿರುವುದನ್ನು ನೀವು ನಂಬದಿದ್ದರೆ ನಾನು ಹೇಳುವ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಗೆ ನಂಬುವಿರಿ?” ಎಂದನು.

But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe my words?"
