ಯೋಬನು 35

1 ೧ ಆ ಮೇಲೆ ಎಲೀಹು ಮತ್ತೆ ಇಂತೆಂದನು,

Moreover Elihu, responded and said: —

2 ೨ “ನೀತಿಯಿಂದ ನನಗೇನು ಪ್ರಯೋಜನವಾಯಿತು? ಪಾಪಮಾಡದೆ ಇದ್ದುದರಿಂದ ನನಗಾದ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಲಾಭವೇನು?

This, dost thou think to be right? Thou hast said—My righteousness is more than GOD’S.

3 ೩ ಈ ರೀತಿ ನೀನು ನುಡಿಯುವುದು ನ್ಯಾಯವೆಂದು ನೀನು ಊಹಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು, ನನ್ನ ನೀತಿಯು ದೇವರ ನೀತಿಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚೆಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿಯಾ?

For thou dost say, How can one profit by thee? How can I benefit, more than by my sin?

4 ೪ ನಾನು ನಿನಗೂ, ನಿನ್ನ ಜೊತೆಗಾರರಿಗೂ ಕೂಡ ಉತ್ತರಕೊಡುವೆನು.

I, will answer thee plainly, and thy friends with thee.

5 ೫ ಕಣ್ಣೆತ್ತಿ ಗಗನಮಂಡಲವನ್ನು ನೋಡು, ಮೇಘಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ದೃಷ್ಟಿಸು, ಅವು ನಿನಗಿಂತ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಎತ್ತರವಾಗಿವೆ!

Look at the heavens and see, —and survey the skies—they are higher than thou.

6 ೬ ನೀನು ಪಾಪಮಾಡಿದ್ದರೆ ಆತನಿಗೆ ಏನು ಮಾಡಿದಂತಾಯಿತು? ನಿನ್ನ ದ್ರೋಹಗಳು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ಆತನಿಗೇನು?

If thou sinnest, what canst thou work against him? Or, if thy transgressions be multiplied, what canst thou do unto him?

7 ೭ ನೀನು ನೀತಿವಂತನಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಆತನಿಗೇನು ಕೊಟ್ಟಂತಾಯಿತು? ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಆತನಿಗೆ ಲಾಭವೇನು?

If thou art righteous, what canst thou give unto him? Or what, at thy hand, can he accept?

8 ೮ ನಿನ್ನ ಕೆಟ್ಟತನದಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನಂಥ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೇ ನಷ್ಟವಾದೀತು, ನಿನ್ನ ನೀತಿಯಿಂದ ನರಜನ್ಮದವನಿಗೇನು ಲಾಭ ಸಿಕ್ಕಬಹುದು.

Unto a man like thyself, might thy lawlessness [reach], and, unto a son of the earth-born, thy righteousness.

9 ೯ ಅಪಾರವಾದ ಹಿಂಸೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಒಳಪಟ್ಟವರು ಮೊರೆಯಿಡುತ್ತಾ, ಬಲಿಷ್ಠರ ಭುಜಬಲದಿಂದ ಪೀಡಿತರಾಗಿ ಕೂಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು.

By reason of the multitude of oppressions, [men] make outcry, They cry for help, by reason of the arm of the mighty;

10 ೧೦ ‘ನನ್ನ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿ ಕರ್ತನಾದ ದೇವರು ಎಲ್ಲಿ? ಆತನು ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಕೀರ್ತನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಡುತ್ತಾನಲ್ಲಾ ಎಂದು ಯಾರೂ ಹೇಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

But none saith—Where is GOD my maker, Who giveth songs in the night;

11 ೧೧ ಆತನು ಕಾಡು ಮೃಗಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ನಮಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಬೋಧಿಸುತ್ತಾ, ಆಕಾಶದ ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಬುದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನು ನಮಗೆ ಕಲಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.

Who teacheth us more than the beasts of the earth, and, beyond the bird of the heavens, giveth us wisdom?

12 ೧೨ ಇಂಥಾ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ದುಷ್ಟರ ಸೊಕ್ಕಿನಿಂದ ನೊಂದು ಗೋಳಾಡುವರು, ಆದರೂ ಆತನು ಉತ್ತರವನ್ನು ದಯಪಾಲಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

There, [men] make outcry, and he answereth not, because of the arrogance of evil-doers.

13 ೧೩ ದೇವರು ಮೂರ್ಖನ ಮಾತಿಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ, ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತನಾದ ದೇವರು ಅದನ್ನು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಲಕ್ಷಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

Howbeit, vanity, will GOD not hear, Yea, the Almighty, will not regard it.

14 ೧೪ ಹೀಗಿರಲು ಆತನು ಕಾಣುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ನನ್ನ ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯವು ಆತನ ಮುಂದೆ ಇದೆ, ಆತನನ್ನು ಕಾದಿರುತ್ತೇನೆ ಎಂದು ನೀನು ಹೇಳಿದರೆ ಆತನು ಕೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆಯೇ?

How much less when thou sayest thou wilt not regard him! The cause, is before him, and thou must wait for him.

15 ೧೫ ಆತನು ದುಷ್ಟರ ಮೇಲೆ ತನ್ನ ಕೋಪವನ್ನು ತೀರಿಸದೆ ಇರುವ ಕಾರಣ ಆಹಾ, ಆತನು ದ್ರೋಹವನ್ನು ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ಗಮನಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು,

But, now, because it is not so, [thou sayest] —His anger hath punished, and yet hath he not at all known of transgression;

16 ೧೬ ಯೋಬನು ಸುಮ್ಮನೆ ಬಾಯಿ ತೆರೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಯಾವ ತಿಳಿವಳಿಕೆಯೂ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಬಹಳ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.”

Thus, Job, vainly openeth his mouth, Without knowledge, he multiplieth words.
