Early in the morning, the chief priests met together with the elders and scribes and the entire Jewish council. Then they bound Jesus and led him away. They handed him over to Pilate.
2 Paeroti'a agenoka huno, Kagra Jiu vahe'mokizmi kini mani'nano? huno Jisasina antahige'ne. E'i kagra nehanane huno Jisasi'a hu'ne.
Pilate asked him, “Are you the King of the Jews?” He answered him, “You say so.”

The chief priests were presenting many charges against Jesus.

Pilate again asked him, “Do you give no answer? See how many charges they are bringing against you!”

But Jesus no longer answered Pilate, and that amazed him.
6 Kafune kafune Anumzamo kinafinti zmavre'nea knama egeno'a, Paeroti'a kina vahepintima zmavesimofonku hazageno kazufe netrea kna e'ne.
Now at the time of the feast, Pilate usually released to them one prisoner, a prisoner they requested.

The crowd came to Pilate and began to ask him to do for them as he had done in the past.

Pilate answered them and said, “Do you want me to release to you the King of the Jews?”
10 Na'ankure agra, ranra pristi kva vahe'mo'za kanive renente'za, avare'za eme ami'zama'a ko antahi'ne.
For he knew that it was because of envy that the chief priests had handed Jesus over to him.
11 Hianagi ranra pristi kva vahe'mo'za maka vahe zamarimpa rekehu'za, Barabasi kazufe tamio hutma hiho hu'za zmasami'naze.
But the chief priests stirred up the crowd to cry out that Barabbas should be released instead.
12 Anante Paeroti'a mago'ene kenona huno, Jiu vahe kinie hutma nehaza nera, na'a huntesuegu tmave'nesie?
Pilate answered them again and said, “What then should I do with the King of the Jews?”
13 Hige'za ete mago'ane kezati'za, Aheta kekazafare hantiho hu'naze.
They shouted again, “Crucify him!”
14 Hianagi Paeroti'a anage huno zamasami'ne, na'a kefoza hune, inankna kefoza hu'negeta aheta hantiho nehaze? Hianagi zamagra mago'ene ranke hu'za, ahe friho hu'naze.
Pilate said to them, “What wrong has he done?” But they shouted more and more, “Crucify him.”
15 Na'ankure Paeroti'a ana maka veamokizmi zamarimpamo so'e hania kazigati, Barabasi kazufe nezamino, Jisasina sefu amiho hige'za, sefu amitazageno keka zafare ahe'za hantisagu avrezmi'ne.
Pilate wanted to satisfy the crowd, so he released Barabbas to them. He scourged Jesus and then handed him over to be crucified.
16 Anante sondia vahe'mo'za avare'za marerisa kumapi ufre'naze. (E'i ana kumara Gavana ne'mofo kumapi) maka Romu sondia vahetamina ome ke hutru hu'naze.
The soldiers led him inside the courtyard (which is the government headquarters), and they called together the whole cohort of soldiers.
17 Zamagra fitunke kukena hunente'za, ave'ave nofite kini vahe'mokizmi fetorikna huza fetori tro hu'za asenire antaninte'naze.
They put a purple robe on Jesus, and they twisted together a crown of thorns and put it on him.
18 Kezanke hunte'za, Jiu vahe'mofo kinimokagura ferure hugantone.
They began to salute him and say, “Hail, King of the Jews!”
19 Mago'ane kno eriza asenire nemasagi'za, zmavetu ahenente'za, zmarena renamagiza, pri hu'za havi mono hunte'naze.
They struck his head with a reed staff and they spat on him. They bent their knees before him to pretend to worship him.
20 Zamagrama azanava anteteza fitunke kukena erizafi netre'za, ete Agri kukena eri huntete'za, keka zafare aheza hantinaku megi'a avare'za vu'naze.
When they had mocked him, they took off of him the purple robe and put his own garments on him, and then led him out to crucify him.
21 Hagi Sairini kumateti ne' Saimoni, (Aleksendane Rufusikizni neznafa) fegu'ati rankumapi evu frenaku enevige'za, Jisasi keka zafa'a erio hu'za hunente'za kofintageno eri'ne.
A certain man, Simon of Cyrene, was coming in from the country (he was the father of Alexander and Rufus), and they forced him to carry his cross.
22 Hagi Jisasina avare'za Golgote nehaza agonare uhanati'naze. (Tagri kefima rukrahe'ma hanunana, anu zaferine hu'ne.)
The soldiers brought Jesus to the place called Golgotha (which interpreted means, “Place of a Skull”).
23 Anante waini tine mere zafa arima'ane magopi taginte'za eri havia hute'za tagiami'zana, one atre'ne.
They offered him wine mixed with myrrh, but he did not drink it.
24 Hagi Jisasina rugeka zafare ahe'za hantite'za, mago'mo tagatere simo erisie nehu'za taisi zokogo re'za kukena'a refko hu'naze.
They crucified him and divided up his garments by casting lots to determine what piece each soldier would take.
25 Nanterama zage hanatino 9 kiloki hige'za, Jisasina rugeka zafare ahe'za hanti'naze.
It was the third hour when they crucified him.
26 Ahe'naza nanekemofo agafa'ama avoma krente'nazana, JIU VAHE'MOKIZMI KINI NERE, hu'za krente'naze.
On a sign they wrote the charge against him, “The king of the Jews.”
27 Ana nehu'za tare kumzafa netrena magoka zanahete'za, magomofona azantmaga'a nehantiza, magomofona hoga'a hanti'naze.
With him they crucified two robbers, one on the right of him and one on his left.
28 [Ana hazageno korapa'ma Anumzamofo avontafepima kre'nea kemofo avufga'a efore' hu'ne. Ana kemo'a, hazenke vahe'kna hugahie hu'ne (Ais 53:12)].
29 Hagi anante'ma vute ete nehu'za vahe'mo'za azanva ke hu'za, Oho! Kagra ra mono nona tapage hunka tagufa knafi kigahue hu'nana nere, nehu'za zmage'na ru'naze.
Those who passed by insulted him, shaking their heads and saying, “Aha! You who would destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days,
30 Kagra ka'a kaza hunka keka zafaretira eramio, hu'naze!
save yourself and come down from the cross!”
31 Anahukna hu'za ranra pristi kva vahe'mo'zane kasegere ugagota hu'naza vahe'mo'za, azanva ke hunte'za, Ru vahe azama nehiaza huno Agra'a aza osugahifi?
In the same way the chief priests were mocking him with each other, along with the scribes, and said, “He saved others, but he cannot save himself.
32 Atregeno Kraisi'a Israeli vahe'mokizmi kini ne'mo'a, keka zafaretira menina eraminketa negeta, tamentinti hamaneno! Tare ne'trema keka zafare'ma ahe'za hanti'naza ne'tremokea, anazanke huke Jisasina azanava ke hunte'na'e.
Let the Christ, the King of Israel, come down now from the cross, that we may see and believe,” and those who were crucified with him also taunted him.

At the sixth hour, darkness came over the whole land until the ninth hour.

At the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?” which is interpreted, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”
35 Hanki tava'onte mani'naza vahe'mo'za nentahi'za, anage hu'naze, Antahiho, Elaijanku ke nehie hu'za hu'naze.
Some of those standing by heard his words and said, “Look, he is calling for Elijah.”

Someone ran, put sour wine on a sponge, put it on a reed staff, and gave it to him to drink. The man said, “Let us see if Elijah comes to take him down.”
37 Hianagi Jisasi'a rankrafa nehuno, vagare asimu anteteno fri'ne.
Then Jesus cried out with a loud voice and died.
38 Ana nehigeno ra mono nomofo agu'afi hanti'naza tavaravemo, anagamuti ruhakeke hutare huno henkamu erami'ne.
The curtain of the temple was split in two from the top to the bottom.
39 Hanki 100'a sondia vahete kva (centurian) ne'mo Jisasina avuga mani'neno Jisasima nefrinoma hiazana keteno anage huno hu'ne. Tamage ama nera Anumzamofo Mofavre mani'ne huno hu'ne!
When the centurion who stood and faced Jesus saw that he had died in this way, he said, “Truly this man was the Son of God.”
40 Hagi mago'a a'nemo'za ogantu'a mani'ne'za uruha ke'naze. Ana a'nefina, Makdala kumateti Mariaki, Saromeki mago Mariaki (osi Jemisine, Josefekizni neznareraki) hu'za mani'naze.
There were also women who looked on from a distance. Among them were Mary Magdalene, Mary (the mother of James the younger and of Joses), and Salome.
41 Ana a'ne zagamo'za Jisasi Galili mopare mani'nege'za amage nente'za aza nehaza ane zagane, mago'a anampina Jerusalemi ne-ege'za avaririza e'naza ane zagane mani'naze.
When he was in Galilee they followed him and served him. Many other women also came up with him to Jerusalem.
42 Hagi anazama fore hu'neana Frante zupa kinage. Mani fru hukna esigu (Sabat) retro tra nehaza kna e'ne.
When evening had come, because it was the Day of Preparation, that is, the day before the Sabbath,
43 Arimatia kumateti ne' Josefe'a koro osu hanave enerino, Jisasi avufa'ama erisigu Paeroti ome antahige'ne. (Ana nera kanisol vahepina agi me'negeno, Anumzamofo Kuma esigu nentahino aveganentea nere.)
Joseph of Arimathea came there. He was a respected member of the council, who was waiting for the kingdom of God. He boldly went in to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus.
44 Hagi Jisasi'ma frine higeno'a, Paeroti'a antri nehuno, 100'a sondia vahete kva (centurian) ne' ke huno frinesigu antahige'ne.
Pilate was amazed that Jesus was already dead; he called the centurion and asked him if Jesus was dead.
45 Ana sondia kva ne'mo hago fri'ne huno Paerotina asmigeno, Knareki avufga'a erinka vuo huno Josefena hunte'ne.
When Pilate learned from the centurion that Jesus was dead, he gave the body to Joseph.
46 Higeno Josefe'ma efeke tavrave miza huno avufa'a eri mopafi atreno, ana efeke tavravenu kazrinteno, havefi frage'za tro hunte'naza kerifi ome asenteteno, have rekrehe huno kama ufrete runkanire'ne.
Joseph had bought a linen cloth. He took him down from the cross, wrapped him in the linen cloth, and laid him in a tomb that had been cut out of a rock. Then he rolled a stone against the entrance of the tomb.
47 Makdala kumateti Mariaki, mago Mariaki Josefe nereraki huke anama asentea kumara ke'na'e.
Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joses saw the place where Jesus was buried.
