1 Hanki nagrama navuma kezani'afima mago huvempa kema hu'noana, mago mofa'ma negesuna havi antahintahia e'orisnue hu'na huvempa hu'noe.
I made a covenant with my eyes; why then should I think upon a maid?
2 E'inahu havi avu'ava'zama hanugeno'a, manisgama hu'nea Hankavenentake Anumzamo'a ana havi avu'ava zanirera havi mizana namigahie.
For what portion of God is there from above? and what inheritance of the Almighty from on high?
3 Havizama hu'za refkoma hu so'ema nosaza vahera Anumzamo'a knaza nezamino, kumi'ma haza vahetera hazenkeza atregeno ne-e.
Is not destruction to the wicked? and a strange punishment to the workers of iniquity?
4 Ana nehuno maka zama hua zampina Anumzamo'a avua anteno nenageno, nagama rerakaure'na vuana nenage.
Doth not he see my ways, and count all my steps?
5 Nagra mago vahera havigea hu'na revataga nosu'na, havige zantera nagia re'na ovu'noe.
If I have walked with vanity, or if my foot hath hasted to deceit;
6 Atrenkeno Anumzamo'a navu'navazania erinteno, fatgoma huno refko'ma nehia sigerire negeno refko huno nageno.
Let me be weighed in an even balance, that God may know my integrity.
If my step hath turned out of the way, and my heart walked after my eyes, and if any blot hath cleaved to my hands;
Hagi nagrama hankre'nesnua avimzana eri tasagi hutreho.
Then let me sow, and let another eat; yea, let my offspring be rooted out.
If my heart hath been deceived by a woman, or if I have laid wait at my neighbour’s door;
10 atrenkeno nagri a'mo'a ru vemofo a' nemanina, ru venenemo'za a'ni'a ante'za maseho.
Then let my wife grind to another, and let others bow down upon her.
11 Hagi nagra mago vemofo a'enema hazenkema hu'nesanuana, nagra'a tusi nagaze eri nami'noanki'na, ana kumi'ma hu'nesua zantera mizama'a nagra'a erigahue.
For this is an heinous crime; yea, it is an iniquity to be punished by the judges.
12 E'i ana kumi'mo'a, mago tevegna hu'neankino, tevava huno nevuno, teve kumapi vugahie. Ana hu'neankino ana maka'zama ante'noa zana, tevemo te fanene hugahie.
For it is a fire that consumeth to destruction, and would root out all my increase.
If I despised the cause of my male or female servant, when they contended with me;
What then shall I do when God riseth up? and when he visiteth, what shall I answer him?
Did not he that made me in the womb make him? and did not one fashion us in the womb?
If I have withheld the poor from their desire, or have caused the eyes of the widow to fail;
Or have eaten my morsel myself alone, and the fatherless hath not eaten of it;
(For from my youth he was brought up with me, as with a father, and I have guided her from my mother’s womb; )
If I have seen any perish for want of clothing, or any poor without covering;
If his loins have not blessed me, and if he hath not been warmed with the fleece of my sheep;
21 Hagi keaga refkohu ne'mo'a, nagri kaziga antegahie nehu'na, nagra keagafina oti'na megusa mofavre naga'ma keagama huzmantesnuana,
If I have lifted up my hand against the fatherless, when I saw my help in the gate:
22 nazamo'a nazo'nafinti rutasagi huramigahie.
Then let my arm fall from my shoulder blade, and my arm be broken from the bone.
For destruction from God was a terror to me, and by reason of his highness I could not endure.
24 Hagi nagra zagofina amuha zani'a nonte'na, golimo'a naza hugahie hu'na namentintia nosue.
If I have made gold my hope, or have said to the fine gold, Thou art my confidence;
If I have rejoiced because my wealth was great, and because my hand had gained much;
If I have beheld the sun when it shined, or the moon walking in brightness;
27 e'i ana zantera mago narimpa hu'na monora hunonte'na, nzantetira zanahe'na antakora osu'noe.
And my heart hath been secretly enticed, or my mouth hath kissed my hand:
28 Hanki nagrama anama hu'nesanuana kumi hu'noankino, kema refko'ma hunantesnia nemo'a knaza namigahie. Na'ankure onagamu monafinkama nemania Anumzamofontera havige hu'na eri fraki'nogu anara hugahie.
This also were an iniquity to be punished by the judge: for I should have denied the God that is above.
29 Hagi ha' vahe'nimo'zama knazampima mani'nazage'na nezamage'na, nagra musena nehu'na zamagizana ore'noe.
If I have rejoiced at the destruction of him that hated me, or have lifted up myself when evil found him:
30 Ana nehu'na magore hu'na zamazeri haviza hu nanekea hu'na kumira nosu'na, havizama hunante'nazarera nona osu'noe.
Neither have I allowed my mouth to sin by wishing a curse to his soul.
If the men of my tent have not said, O that we had of his flesh! we cannot be satisfied.
The stranger did not lodge in the street: but I opened my doors to the traveller.
33 Mago'a vahe'mo'zama nehazaza hu'na kumi'ni'a nagu'afina eri frakinaku hu'noanagi, anara osu'noe.
If I have covered my transgressions as Adam, by hiding my iniquity in my bosom:
34 Hagi rama'a vahe'mo'zama nenage'za, kiza zokago kema hunenantesage'za, naga'nimo'zama eme nasami'zankura korera hu'na nompina omani'noe.
Did I fear a great multitude, or did the contempt of families terrify me, that I kept silence, and went not out of the door?
35 Hagi nagra nagesama antahuana, nagrama nehuankema mago vahe'mo'ma agesama anteno antahiresina knare hisine. Nagra nazanko avona ama antoanki atre'nenkeno Hankavenentake Anumzamo negeno kenona hunanteno. Hagi mago vahe'mo'ma nagri'ma keagama hunantenaku'ma hanuno'a avompi krenteno.
O that one would hear me! behold, my desire is, that the Almighty would answer me, and that my adversary had written a book.
Surely I would take it upon my shoulder, and bind it as a crown to me.
I would declare to him the number of my steps; as a prince would I go near to him.
38 Hagi mopa'nimo'ma haviza hu'nane huno'ma keagama hunantenigeno, hoza tinkamo'a tusi zavi'netenigeno,
If my land crieth against me, or its furrows likewise complain;
39 mago vahe'mofo hozafinti ne'za musufa sege, ana hozamofo nefa ahe frige'ma hu'nesanuana,
If I have eaten the fruits of it without money, or have caused its owners to lose their life:
40 anama eri nafa'ama hu'nesanua mopafina witimo'a ohesianki ave've trazamoke hageno marenerisanigeno, amne tra'zamo balimofo nona erino hageno marerigahie. Ama ana nanekema huvagareteno'a, Jopua kea osu'ne.
Let thistles grow instead of wheat, and weeds instead of barley. The words of Job are ended.
