コリント人への手紙第一 11
1 我も自らキリストに倣へる如く、汝等我に倣へ。
Be ye followers of me, even as I also [am] of Christ.
2 第一項 集會の時に避くべき弊害 第三編 祭式に関する問題 兄弟等よ、我汝等が何事に於ても我を記憶し、汝等に傳へし如く我教を守るを賞す。
Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered [them] to you.
3 然るに我汝等の之を知らん事を欲す、即ち凡ての男の頭はキリスト、女の頭は男、キリストの頭は神なり。
But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman [is] the man; and the head of Christ [is] God.
4 総て男は頭に物を被りて祈祷し預言すれば其頭を辱め、
Every man praying or prophesying, having [his] head covered, dishonoureth his head.
5 総て女は頭に物を被らずして祈祷し預言すれば却て其頭を辱む、是剃髪せるに等しければなり。
But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with [her] head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.
6 蓋女もし物を被らずば髪を剪るべし、然れど髪を剪り或は剃る事を女に取りて耻とせば、頭に物を被るべし。
For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.
7 男は神の像にして又光榮なれば物を被るべきに非ず、然れど女は男の光榮なり、
For a man indeed ought not to cover [his] head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.
8 是男は女よりに非ずして女は男よりせり、
For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man.
9 男は女の為に造られずして、女は男の為に造られたればなり。
Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.
10 此故に女は天使等に對して、[戴ける]権利[の徴]を頭に有つべきなり。
For this cause ought the woman to have power on [her] head because of the angels.
11 然りながら主に在りては、男なくしては女あらず、女なくしては男あらざるなり、
Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord.
12 蓋女が男よりせし如く、男も亦女を以て生り、而して一切は神より出づ。
For as the woman [is] of the man, even so [is] the man also by the woman; but all things of God.
13 汝等自ら判断せよ、物を被らずして神に祈祷する事、女に取りて相應しからんや。
Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered?
14 自然其物も亦教ふるに非ずや。即ち男髪を起つれば身に取りて耻なれども、
Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?
15 女の髪を起つるは身の誉なり、是女は被物として髪を與へられたればなり。
But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for [her] hair is given her for a covering.
16 假令之を抗弁ふと見ゆる人はありとも、我等にも神の諸教會にも斯る慣例は存せざるなり。
But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God.
17 我之を命じて汝等を賞せず、其は集りて善く成らず、却て惡しく成ればなり。
Now in this that I declare [unto you] I praise [you] not, that ye come together not for the better, but for the worse.
18 先汝等が教會として集る時分裂ありと聞けば、我幾分か之を信ず。
For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that there be divisions among you; and I partly believe it.
19 蓋汝等の中に是認せられたる人の顕れん為には、異端さへ起るべき筈なるをや。
For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you.
20 然れば汝等が一に集る時は、最早主の晩餐を食せんとには非ず。
When ye come together therefore into one place, [this] is not to eat the Lord’s supper.
21 蓋各前に己が晩餐を食するが故に、飢ゑたる人あれば酩酊したる人もあり。
For in eating every one taketh before [other] his own supper: and one is hungry, and another is drunken.
22 飲食する為には自宅にあるに非ずや、或は神の教會を軽んじて乏しき人を辱めんとするか、汝等に何をか謂ふべき、汝等を賞せんか、我之をば賞せざるなり。
What? have ye not houses to eat and to drink in? or despise ye the church of God, and shame them that have not? What shall I say to you? shall I praise you in this? I praise [you] not.
23 蓋我が主より承りて汝等にも傳へし所にては、主イエズス付され給へる夜に當りて麪を取り、
For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the [same] night in which he was betrayed took bread:
24 謝して之を擘き、然て曰く、汝等取りて食せよ、是は汝等の為に付さるべき我體なり、汝等我記念として之を為せ、と。
And when he had given thanks, he brake [it], and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.
25 晩餐の後同じく杯を取りて曰く、此杯は我血に於る新約なり、飲む度毎に汝等我記念として之を為せ、と。
After the same manner also [he took] the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink [it], in remembrance of me.
26 蓋主の來り給ふまで、汝等此麪を食し又杯を飲む度毎に、主の死を示すなり。
For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come.
27 故に誰にもあれ相應しからずして此麪を食し、或は主の杯を飲まん人は、主の御體と御血とを犯さん。
Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink [this] cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.
28 然れば人は己を試し、然して後彼麪を食し杯を飲むべし。
But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of [that] bread, and drink of [that] cup.
29 其は相應しからずして飲食する人は、主の御體を弁へず、己が宣告を飲食する者なればなり。
For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body.
30 此故に汝等の中には、病める者弱れる者多く、且死せる者多し。
For this cause many [are] weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.
31 我等もし自ら審かば審かるる事なからん、
For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.
32 審かるるも、其は此世と共に罪せられざらん為に主より懲され奉るなり。
But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.
33 然れば我兄弟等よ、食せんとて集る時、互に待合はせよ。
Wherefore, my brethren, when ye come together to eat, tarry one for another.
34 飢たる人あらば、汝等が集りて審かるる事を免れん為に、自宅にて食事すべし。其他の事は我至らん時之を定めん。
And if any man hunger, let him eat at home; that ye come not together unto condemnation. And the rest will I set in order when I come.
