ゼカリヤ書 7

1 ダリヨス王の四年の九月すなはちキスリウといふ月の四日にヱホバの言ゼカリヤに臨めり

And it came to pass in the fourth year of king Darius, that the word of the LORD came unto Zechariah in the fourth day of the ninth month, even in Chislev;

2 ベテルかの時シヤレゼル、レゲンメレクおよびその從者を遣してヱホバを和めさせ

When Bethel-sarezer, and Regem-melech and his men, had sent to entreat the favour of the LORD,

3 かつ萬軍のヱホバの室にをる祭司に問しめ且豫言者に問しめて言けらく我今まで年久しく爲きたりしごとく尚五月をもて哭きかつ齋戒すべきやと

and to speak unto the priests of the house of the LORD of hosts, and to the prophets, saying: 'Should I weep in the fifth month, separating myself, as I have done these so many years?'

4 ここにおいて萬軍のヱホバの言我に臨めり云く

Then came the word of the LORD of hosts unto me, saying:

5 國の諸民および祭司に告て言へ汝らは七十年のあひだ五月と七月とに斷食しかつ哀哭せしがその斷食せし時果して我にむかひて斷食せしや

'Speak unto all the people of the land, and to the priests, saying: When ye fasted and mourned in the fifth and in the seventh month, even these seventy years, did ye at all fast unto Me, even to Me?

6 汝ら食ひかつ飮は全く己のために食ひ己のために飮ならずや

And when ye eat, and when ye drink, are ye not they that eat, and they that drink?

7 在昔ヱルサレムおよび周圍の邑々人の住ふありて平安なりし時南の地および平野にも人の住ひをりし時に已往の預言者によりてヱホバの宣ひたりし言を汝ら知ざるや

Should ye not hearken to the words which the LORD hath proclaimed by the former prophets, when Jerusalem was inhabited and in prosperity, and the cities thereof round about her, and the South and the Lowland were inhabited?'

8 ヱホバの言ゼカリヤに臨めり云く

And the word of the LORD came unto Zechariah, saying:

9 萬軍のヱホバかく宣へり云く正義き審判を行ひ互に相愛しみ相憐め

'Thus hath the LORD of hosts spoken, saying: Execute true judgment, and show mercy and compassion every man to his brother;

10 寡婦孤兒旅客および貧者を虐ぐるなかれ人を害せんと心に圖る勿れと

and oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and let none of you devise evil against his brother in your heart.

11 然るに彼等は肯て耳を傾けず背を向け耳を鈍くして聽ず

But they refused to attend, and turned a stubborn shoulder, and stopped their ears, that they might not hear.

12 且その心を金剛石のごとくし萬軍のヱホバがその御霊をもて已往の預言者に由て傳へたまひし律法と言詞に聽したがはざりき是をもて大なる怒萬軍のヱホバより出て臨めり

Yea, they made their hearts as an adamant stone, lest they should hear the law, and the words which the LORD of hosts had sent by His spirit by the hand of the former prophets; therefore came there great wrath from the LORD of hosts.

13 彼かく呼はりたれども彼等聽ざりき其ごとく彼ら呼はるとも我聽じ萬軍のヱホバこれを言ふ

And it came to pass that, as He called, and they would not hear; so they shall call, and I will not hear, said the LORD of hosts;

14 我かれらをその識ざる諸の國に吹散すべし其後にてこの地は荒て往來する者なきに至らん彼等かく美しき國を荒地となす

but I will scatter them with a whirlwind among all the nations whom they have not known. Thus the land was desolate after them, so that no man passed through nor returned; for they laid the pleasant land desolate.'
