ヨブ 記 18
1 シユヒ人ビルダデこたへて曰く
Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,
2 汝等いつまで言語を獵求むることをするや 汝ら先曉るべし 然る後われら辨論はん
How long [will it be ere] ye make an end of words? mark, and afterwards we will speak.
3 われら何ぞ獸畜とおもはるべけんや 何ぞ汝らの目に汚穢たる者と見らるべけんや
Wherefore are we counted as beasts, [and] reputed vile in your sight?
4 なんぢ怒りて身を裂く者よ 汝のためとて地あに棄られんや 磐あに其處より移されんや
He teareth himself in his anger: shall the earth be forsaken for thee? and shall the rock be removed out of his place?
5 惡き者の光明は滅され 其火の焔は照じ
Yea, the light of the wicked shall be put out, and the spark of his fire shall not shine.
6 その天幕の内なる光明は暗くなり其が上の燈火は滅さるべし
The light shall be dark in his tabernacle, and his candle shall be put out with him.
7 またその強き歩履は狹まり 其計るところは自分を陷いる
The steps of his strength shall be straitened, and his own counsel shall cast him down.
8 すなはち其足に逐れて網に到り また陷阱の上を歩むに
For he is cast into a net by his own feet, and he walketh upon a snare.
9 索はその踵に纒り 羂これを執ふ
The gin shall take [him] by the heel, [and] the robber shall prevail against him.
10 索かれを執ふるために地に隱しあり 羂かれを陷しいるるために路に設けあり
The snare [is] laid for him in the ground, and a trap for him in the way.
11 怖ろしき事四方において彼を懼れしめ 其足にしたがひて彼をおふ
Terrors shall make him afraid on every side, and shall drive him to his feet.
12 その力は餓ゑ 其傍には災禍そなはり
His strength shall be hungerbitten, and destruction [shall be] ready at his side.
13 その膚の肢は蝕壞らる 即ち死の初子これが肢を蝕壞るなり
It shall devour the strength of his skin: [even] the firstborn of death shall devour his strength.
14 やがて彼はその恃める天幕より曳離されて懼怖の王の許に驅やられん
His confidence shall be rooted out of his tabernacle, and it shall bring him to the king of terrors.
15 彼に屬せざる者かれの天幕に住み 硫礦かれの家の上に降ん
It shall dwell in his tabernacle, because [it is] none of his: brimstone shall be scattered upon his habitation.
16 下にてはその根枯れ 上にてはその枝砍る
His roots shall be dried up beneath, and above shall his branch be cut off.
17 彼の跡は地に絶え 彼の名は街衢に傳はらじ
His remembrance shall perish from the earth, and he shall have no name in the street.
18 彼は光明の中より黒暗に逐やられ 世の中より驅出されん
He shall be driven from light into darkness, and chased out of the world.
19 彼は其民の中に子も無く孫も有じ また彼の住所には一人も遺る者なからん
He shall neither have son nor nephew among his people, nor any remaining in his dwellings.
20 之が日を見るにおいて後に來る者は駭き 先に出し者は怖おそれん
They that come after [him] shall be astonied at his day, as they that went before were affrighted.
21 かならず惡き人の住所は是のごとく 神を知ざる者の所は是のごとくなるべし
Surely such [are] the dwellings of the wicked, and this [is] the place [of him that] knoweth not God.
