1 ヱホバまたモーセに告て言たまはく
Adonai spoke to Moses [Drawn out], saying,
2 汝イスラエルの子孫の全會衆に告てこれに言へ汝等宜く聖あるべし其は我ヱホバ汝らの神聖あればなり
“Speak to all the congregation of the children of Israel [God prevails], and tell them, ‘You shall be holy; for I, Adonai your God, am holy.
3 汝等おのおのその母とその父を畏れまた吾が安息日を守るべし我は汝らの神ヱホバなり
“‘Each one of you shall respect his mother and his father. You shall keep my Sabbaths. I am Adonai your God.
4 汝等虚き物を恃むなかれまた汝らのために神々を鋳造ることなかれ我は汝らの神ヱホバなり
“‘Don’t turn to idols, nor make molten deities for yourselves. I am Adonai your God.
5 汝等酬恩祭の犠牲をヱホバにささぐる時はその受納らるるやうに献ぐべし
“‘When you offer a sacrifice of peace offerings to Adonai, you shall offer it so that you may be accepted.
6 之を食ふことは之を献ぐる日とその翌日に於てすべし若殘りて三日にいたらばこれを火に燒べし
It shall be eaten the same day you offer it, and on the next day: and if anything remains until the third day, it shall be burned with fire.
7 もし第三日に少にても之を食ふことあらば是は憎むべき物となりて受納られざるべし
If it is eaten at all on the third day, it is an abomination. It will not be accepted;
8 之を食ふ者はヱホバの聖物を汚すによりてその罰を蒙むるべし即ちその人は民の中より絶さられん
but everyone who eats it shall bear his iniquity, because he has profaned the holy thing of Adonai, and that soul shall be cut off from his people.
9 汝その地の穀物を穫ときには汝等その田野の隅々までを盡く穫可らず亦汝の穀物の遺穂を拾ふべからず
“‘When you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not wholly reap the corners of your field, neither shall you gather the gleanings of your harvest.
10 また汝の菓樹園の菓を取つくすべからずまた汝の菓樹園に落たる菓を斂むべからず貧者と旅客のためにこれを遺しおくべし我は汝らの神ヱホバなり
You shall not glean your vineyard, neither shall you gather the fallen grapes of your vineyard. You shall leave them for the poor and for the foreigner. I am Adonai your God.
11 汝等竊むべからず偽べからず互に欺くべからず
“‘You shall not steal from, defraud, or lie to one another.
12 汝等わが名を指て偽り誓ふべからずまた汝の神の名を汚すべからず我はヱホバなり
“‘You shall not swear by my name falsely, and profane the name of your God. I am Adonai.
13 汝の鄰人を虐ぐべからずまたその物を奪ふべからず傭人の値を明朝まで汝の許に留めおくべからず
“‘You shall not oppress your neighbor, nor rob him. “‘The wages of a hired servant shall not remain with you all night until the morning.
14 汝聾者を詛ふべからずまた瞽者の前に礙物をおくべからず汝の神を畏るべし我はヱホバなり
“‘You shall not curse the deaf, nor put a stumbling block before the blind; but you shall fear your God. I am Adonai.
15 汝審判をなすに方りて不義を行なふべからず貧窮者を偏り護べからず權ある者を曲て庇くべからず但公義をもて汝の鄰を審判べし
“‘You shall do no injustice in judgment. You shall not be partial to the poor, nor show favoritism to the great; but you shall judge your neighbor uprightly.
16 汝の民の間に往めぐりて人を謗るべからず汝の鄰人の血をながすべからず我はヱホバなり
“‘You shall not go up and down as a slanderer among your people. “‘You shall not endanger the life of your neighbor. I am Adonai.
17 汝心に汝の兄弟を惡むべからず必ず汝の鄰人を勸戒むべし彼の故によりて罪を身にうくる勿れ
“‘You shall not hate your brother in your heart. You shall surely rebuke your neighbor, and not bear sin because of him.
18 汝仇をかへすべからず汝の民の子孫に對ひて怨を懐くべからず己のごとく汝の鄰を愛すべし我はヱホバなり
“‘You shall not take vengeance or revenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people; but you shall 'ahav ·affectionately love· your neighbor as yourself. I am Adonai.
19 汝らわが條例を守るべし汝の家畜をして異類と交らしむべからず異類の種をまぜて汝の田野に播べからず麻と毛をまじへたる衣服を身につくべからず
“‘You shall keep my regulations. “‘You shall not cross-breed different kinds of animals. “‘You shall not sow your field with two kinds of seed; “‘Don’t wear a garment made of two kinds of material.
20 凡そ未だ贖ひ出されず未だ解放れざる奴隸の女にして夫に適く約束をなせし者あらんに人もしこれと交合しなばその二人を鑓責むべし然ど之を殺すに及ばず是その婦いまだ解放れざるが故なり
“‘If a man lies carnally with a woman who is a slave girl, pledged to be married to another man, and not ransomed, or given her freedom; they shall be punished. They shall not be put to death, because she was not free.
21 その男は愆祭をヱホバに携へきたるべし即ち愆祭の牡羊を集會の幕屋の門に牽きたるべきなり
He shall bring his trespass offering to Adonai, to the door of the Tent of Meeting, even a ram for a trespass offering.
22 而して祭司その人の犯せる罪のためにその愆祭の牡羊をもてヱホバの前にこれがために贖罪をなすべし斯せばその人の犯せし罪赦されん
The priest shall make atonement for him with the ram of the trespass offering before Adonai for his sin which he has committed: and the sin which he has committed shall be forgiven him.
23 汝等かの地にいたりて諸の果實の樹を植ん時はその果實をもて未だ割禮を受ざる者と見做べし即ち三年の間汝等これをもて割禮を受ざる者となすべし是は食はれざるなり
“‘When you come into the land, and have planted all kinds of trees for food, then you shall count their fruit as forbidden. Three years they shall be forbidden to you. It shall not be eaten.
24 第四年には汝らそのもろもろの果實を聖物となしこれをもてヱホバに感謝の祭を爲べし
But in the fourth year all its fruit shall be holy, for giving praise to Adonai.
25 第五年に汝等その果實を食ふべし然せば汝らのために多く實を結ばん我は汝らの神ヱホバなり
In the fifth year you shall eat its fruit, that it may yield its increase to you. I am Adonai your God.
26 汝等何をも血のままに食ふべからずまた魔術を行ふべからず卜筮をなすべからず
“‘You shall not eat any meat with the blood still in it. You shall not use enchantments, nor practice sorcery.
27 汝等頭の鬢を圓く剪べからず汝鬚の兩方を損ずべからず
“‘You shall not cut the hair on the sides of your head or clip off the edge of your beard.
28 汝等死る人のために己が身に傷くべからずまたその身に刺文をなすべからず我はヱホバなり
“‘You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks on you. I am Adonai.
29 汝の女子を汚して娼妓の業をなさしむべからず恐くは淫事國におこなはれ罪惡國に滿ん
“‘Don’t profane your daughter, to make her a prostitute; lest the land fall to prostitution, and the land become full of wickedness.
30 汝等わが安息日を守りわが聖所を敬ふべし我はヱホバなり
“‘You shall keep my Sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary; I am Adonai.
31 汝等憑鬼者を恃むなかれ卜筮師に問ことを爲て之に身を汚さるるなかれ我は汝らの神ヱホバなり
“‘Don’t turn to those who are spirit-mediums, nor to the sorcerers. Don’t seek them out, to be defiled by them. I am Adonai your God.
32 白髮の人の前には起あがるべしまた老人の身を敬ひ汝の神を畏るべし我はヱホバなり
“‘You shall rise up before the silver haired, and honor the face of an elder old man, and you shall fear your God. I am Adonai.
33 他國の人汝らの國に寄留て汝とともに在ばこれを虐ぐるなかれ
“‘If a stranger lives as a foreigner with you in your land, you shall not do him wrong.
34 汝等とともに居る他國の人をば汝らの中間に生れたる者のごとくし己のごとくに之を愛すべし汝等もエジブトの國に客たりし事あり我は汝らの神ヱホバなり
The stranger who lives as a foreigner with you shall be to you as the native-born among you, and you shall 'ahav ·affectionately love· him as yourself; for you lived as foreigners in the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery]. I am Adonai your God.
35 汝等審判に於ても尺度に於ても秤子に於ても升斗に於ても不義を爲べからず
“‘You shall do no unrighteousness in judgment, in measures of length, of weight, or of quantity.
36 汝等公平き秤公平き錘公平きエパ公平きヒンをもちふべし我は汝らの神ヱホバ汝らをエジブトの國より導き出せし者なり
You shall have just balances, just weights, a just ephah [0.63 bushels; 5.9 gal; 22 L], and a just hin [0.98 gal; 3.7 L]. I am Adonai your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery].
37 汝等わが一切の條例とわが一切の律法を守りてこれを行ふべし我はヱホバなり
“‘You shall observe all my regulations, and all my judgments, and do them. I am Adonai.’”
