< ヘブル人への手紙 5 >

1 凡そ大 祭司は人の中より選ばれ、罪のために供物と犧牲とを献げんとて、人にかはりて神に事ふることを任ぜらる。
For every high priest, being taken from among people, is appointed for people in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins.
2 彼は自らも弱に纒はるるが故に、無知なるもの、迷へる者を思ひ遣ることを得るなり。
The high priest can deal gently with those who are ignorant and going astray, because he himself is also surrounded with weakness.
3 之によりて民のために爲すごとく、また己のためにも罪に就きて献物をなさざるべからず。
Because of this, he must offer sacrifices for sins for the people, as well as for himself.
4 又この貴き位はアロンのごとく神に召さるるにあらずば、誰も自ら之を取る者なし。
Nobody takes this honor on himself, but he is called by God, just like Ahrun was.
5 斯くの如くキリストも己を崇めて自ら大 祭司となり給はず。之に向ひて『なんじは我が子なり、われ今日なんじを生めり』と語り給ひし者、これを立てたり。
So also Meshikha did not glorify himself to be made a high priest, but it was he who said to him, "You are my Son. Today I have become your Father."
6 また他の篇に『なんじは永遠にメルキゼデクの位に等しき祭司たり』と言ひ給へるが如し。 (aiōn g165)
As he says also in another place, "You are a priest forever, after the order of Malki-Zedeq." (aiōn g165)
7 キリストは肉體にて在ししとき、大なる叫と涙とをもて、己を死より救ひ得る者に祈と願とを献げ、その恭敬によりて聽かれ給へり。
In the days of his flesh, he offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to him who was able to save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverence.
8 彼は御子なれど、受けし所の苦難によりて從順を學び、
Although he was a Son, he learned obedience by the things which he suffered.
9 かつ全うせられたれば、凡て己に順ふ者のために永遠の救の原となりて、 (aiōnios g166)
Having been made perfect, he became to all of those who obey him the author of everlasting salvation, (aiōnios g166)
10 神よりメルキゼデクの位に等しき大 祭司と稱へられ給へり。
named by God a high priest after the order of Malki-Zedeq.
11 之に就きて我ら多くの言ふべき事あれど、汝ら聞くに鈍くなりたれば釋き難し。
About him we have many words to say, and hard to interpret, seeing you have become dull of hearing.
12 なんじら時を經ること久しければ、教師となるべき者なるに、今また神の言の初歩を人より教へられざるを得ず、汝らは堅き食物ならで乳を要する者となれり。
For when by reason of the time you ought to be teachers, you again need to have someone teach you the rudiments of the first principles of the oracles of God. You have come to need milk, not solid food.
13 おほよそ乳を用ふる者は幼兒なれば、未だ義の言に熟せず、
For everyone who lives on milk is not experienced in the word of righteousness, for he is a baby.
14 堅き食物は智力を練習して善惡を辨ふる成人の用ふるものなり。
But solid food is for those who are full grown, who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern good and evil.
