申命記 22

1 汝の兄弟の牛または羊の迷ひをるを見てこれを見すて置べからず必ずこれを汝の兄弟に牽ゆきて歸すべし

Thou shalt not see thy brother’s ox or his sheep go astray, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt in any case bring them again unto thy brother.

2 汝の兄弟もし汝に近からざるか又は汝かれを知ざる時はこれを汝の家に牽ゆきて汝の許におき汝の兄弟の尋ねきたるに及びて之を彼に還すべし

And if thy brother [be] not nigh unto thee, or if thou know him not, then thou shalt bring it unto thine own house, and it shall be with thee until thy brother seek after it, and thou shalt restore it to him again.

3 汝の兄弟の驢馬におけるも是のごとく爲しまたその衣服におけるも斯なすべし凡て汝の兄弟の失ひたる遺失物を得たる時も汝かく爲べし之を見すておくべからず

In like manner shalt thou do with his ass; and so shalt thou do with his raiment; and with all lost thing of thy brother’s, which he hath lost, and thou hast found, shalt thou do likewise: thou mayest not hide thyself.

4 また汝の兄弟の驢馬または牛の途に踣れをるを見て見すておくべからず必ずこれを助け起すべし

Thou shalt not see thy brother’s ass or his ox fall down by the way, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt surely help him to lift [them] up again.

5 女は男の衣服を纒ふべからずまた男は女の衣裳を著べからず凡て斯する者は汝の神ヱホバこれを憎みたまふなり

The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all that do so [are] abomination unto the LORD thy God.

6 汝鳥の巣の路の頭または樹の上または土の上にあるを見んに雛または卵その中にありて母鳥その雛または卵の上に伏をらばその母鳥を雛とともに取べからず

If a bird’s nest chance to be before thee in the way in any tree, or on the ground, [whether they be] young ones, or eggs, and the dam sitting upon the young, or upon the eggs, thou shalt not take the dam with the young:

7 かならずその母鳥を去しめ唯その雛のみをとるべし然せば汝福祉を獲かつ汝の日を永うすることを得ん

[But] thou shalt in any wise let the dam go, and take the young to thee; that it may be well with thee, and [that] thou mayest prolong [thy] days.

8 汝新しき家を建る時はその屋蓋の周圍に欄杆を設くべし是は人その上より堕てこれが血の汝の家に歸すること無らんためなり

When thou buildest a new house, then thou shalt make a battlement for thy roof, that thou bring not blood upon thine house, if any man fall from thence.

9 汝菓物園に異類の種を混て播べからず然せば汝が播たる種より產する物および汝の菓物園より出る菓物みな聖物とならん

Thou shalt not sow thy vineyard with divers seeds: lest the fruit of thy seed which thou hast sown, and the fruit of thy vineyard, be defiled.

10 汝牛と驢馬とを耦せて耕すことを爲べからず

Thou shalt not plow with an ox and an ass together.

11 汝毛と麻とをまじへたる衣服を著べからず

Thou shalt not wear a garment of divers sorts, [as] of woollen and linen together.

12 汝が上に纒ふ衣服の裾の四方に繸をつくべし

Thou shalt make thee fringes upon the four quarters of thy vesture, wherewith thou coverest [thyself].

13 人もし妻を娶り之とともに寝て後これを嫌ひ

If any man take a wife, and go in unto her, and hate her,

14 我この婦人を娶りしが之と寝たる時にその處女なるを見ざりしと言て誹謗の辭抦を設けこれに惡き名を負せなば

And give occasions of speech against her, and bring up an evil name upon her, and say, I took this woman, and when I came to her, I found her not a maid:

15 その女の父と母その女の處女なる證跡を取り門にをる邑の長老等にこれを差出し

Then shall the father of the damsel, and her mother, take and bring forth [the tokens of] the damsel’s virginity unto the elders of the city in the gate:

16 而してその女の父長老等に言べし我この人にわが女子を與へて妻となさしめしにこの人これを嫌ひ

And the damsel’s father shall say unto the elders, I gave my daughter unto this man to wife, and he hateth her;

17 誹謗の辭抦を設けて言ふ我なんぢの女子の處女なるを見ざりしと然るに吾女子の處女なりし證跡は此にありと斯いひてその父母かの布を邑の長老等の前に展べし

And, lo, he hath given occasions of speech [against her], saying, I found not thy daughter a maid; and yet these [are the tokens of] my daughter’s virginity. And they shall spread the cloth before the elders of the city.

18 然る時は邑の長老等その人を執へてこれを鞭ち

And the elders of that city shall take that man and chastise him;

19 又これに銀百シケルを罰してその女の父に償はしむべし其はイスラエルの處女に惡き名を負せたればなり斯てその人はこれを妻とすべし一生これを去ことを得ず

And they shall amerce him in an hundred [shekels] of silver, and give [them] unto the father of the damsel, because he hath brought up an evil name upon a virgin of Israel: and she shall be his wife; he may not put her away all his days.

20 然どこの事もし眞にしてその女の處女なる證跡あらざる時は

But if this thing be true, [and the tokens of] virginity be not found for the damsel:

21 その女をこれが父の家の門に曳いだしその邑の人々石をもてこれを撃ころすべし其は彼その父の家にて淫なる事をなしてイスラエルの中に惡をおこなひたればなり汝かく惡事を汝らの中より除くべし

Then they shall bring out the damsel to the door of her father’s house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones that she die: because she hath wrought folly in Israel, to play the whore in her father’s house: so shalt thou put evil away from among you.

22 もし夫に適し婦と寝る男あるを見ばその婦と寝たる男と其婦とをともに殺し斯して惡事をイスラエルの中より除くべし

If a man be found lying with a woman married to an husband, then they shall both of them die, [both] the man that lay with the woman, and the woman: so shalt thou put away evil from Israel.

23 處女なる婦人すでに夫に適の約をなせる後ある男これに邑の内に遇てこれを犯さば

If a damsel [that is] a virgin be betrothed unto an husband, and a man find her in the city, and lie with her;

24 汝らその二人を邑の門に曳いだし石をもてこれを撃ころすべし是その女は邑の内にありながら叫ぶことをせざるに因りまたその男はその鄰の妻を辱しめたるに因てなり汝かく惡事を汝らの中より除くべし

Then ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die; the damsel, because she cried not, [being] in the city; and the man, because he hath humbled his neighbour’s wife: so thou shalt put away evil from among you.

25 然ど男もし人に適の約をなしし女に野にて遇ひこれを強て犯すあらば之を犯しし男のみを殺すべし

But if a man find a betrothed damsel in the field, and the man force her, and lie with her: then the man only that lay with her shall die:

26 その女には何をも爲べからず女には死にあたる罪なし人その鄰人に起むかひてこれを殺せるとその事おなじ

But unto the damsel thou shalt do nothing; [there is] in the damsel no sin [worthy] of death: for as when a man riseth against his neighbour, and slayeth him, even so [is] this matter:

27 其は男野にてこれに遇たるが故にその人に適の約をなしし女叫びたれども拯ふ者なかりしなり

For he found her in the field, [and] the betrothed damsel cried, and [there was] none to save her.

28 男もし未だ人に適の約をなさざる處女なる婦に遇ひこれを執へて犯すありてその二人見あらはされなば

If a man find a damsel [that is] a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found;

29 これを犯せる男その女の父に銀五十シケルを與へて之を己の妻とすべし彼その女を辱しめたれば一生これを去るべからざるなり

Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel’s father fifty [shekels] of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days.

30 人その父の妻を娶るべからずその父の被を掀開べからず

A man shall not take his father’s wife, nor discover his father’s skirt.
