テサロニケ人への手紙第二 1

1 パウロ、シルワノ、テモテ、書を我らの父なる神および主イエス・キリストに在るテサロニケ人の教會に贈る。

Paul and Sylvanus and Timothy, to the church of the Thessalonians, in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

2 願はくは父なる神および主イエス・キリストより賜ふ恩惠と平安と汝らに在らんことを。

Grace and peace to you, from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

3 兄弟よ、われら汝 等につきて常に神に感謝せざるを得ず、これ當然の事なり。そは汝らの信仰おほいに加はり、各自みな互の愛を厚くしたればなり。

We ought to give thanks always to God for you, brothers, in a fitting manner, because your faith is increasing greatly, and because the charity of each of you toward one another is abundant,

4 されば我らは、汝らが忍べる凡ての迫害と患難との中にありて保ちたる忍耐と信仰とを、神の諸 教會の間に誇る。

so much so that we ourselves even glory in you among the churches of God, because of your patience and faith in all of your persecutions and tribulations that you endure,

5 これ神の正しき審判の兆にして、汝らが神の國に相應しき者とならん爲なり。今その御國のために苦難を受く。

which are a sign of the just judgment of God, so that you may be held worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you also suffer.

6 汝らに患難を加ふる者に患難をもて報い、患難を受くる汝らに、我らと共に安息をもて報い給ふは、神の正しき事なり。

For certainly, it is just for God to repay trouble to those who trouble you,

7 即ち主イエス焔の中にその能力の御使たちと共に天より顯れ、

and to repay you, who are being troubled, with a repose with us, when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with the Angels of his virtue,

8 神を知らぬ者と我らの主イエスの福音に服はぬ者とに報いをなし給ふとき、

granting vindication, by a flame of fire, against those who do not know God and who are not obedient to the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

9 かかる者どもは主の顏とその能力の榮光とを離れて、限りなき滅亡の刑罰を受くべし。 (aiōnios g166)

These shall be given the eternal punishment of destruction, apart from the face of the Lord and apart from the glory of his virtue, (aiōnios g166)

10 その時は主おのが聖徒によりて崇められ、凡ての信ずる者（なんぢらも我らの證を信じたる者なり）によりて讃められんとて來りたまふ日なり。

when he arrives to be glorified in his saints, and to become a wonder in all those who have believed, in that day, because our testimony has been believed by you.

11 これに就きて我ら常に汝らのために祈るは、我らの神の汝 等をして召に適ふ者となし、能力をもて汝らの凡て善に就ける願と信仰の業とを成就せしめ給はんことなり。

Because of this, too, we pray always for you, so that our God may make you worthy of his calling and may complete every act of his goodness, as well as his work of faith in virtue,

12 これ我らの神および主イエス・キリストの惠によりて、我らの主イエスの御名の汝らの中に崇められ、又なんぢらも彼に在りて崇められん爲なり。

in order that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, in accord with the grace of our God and of the Lord Jesus Christ.
