Salmi 147
1 LODATE il Signore; Perciocchè egli [è] cosa buona e dilettevole di salmeggiar l'Iddio nostro; La lode [è] decevole.
Alleluya. Herie ye the Lord, for the salm is good; heriyng be myrie, and fair to oure God.
2 Il Signore è quel ch'edifica Gerusalemme; Egli raccoglierà i dispersi d'Israele.
The Lord schal bilde Jerusalem; and schal gadere togidere the scateryngis of Israel.
3 [Egli è quel] che guarisce quelli che hanno il cuor rotto, E fascia le lor doglie;
Which Lord makith hool men contrit in herte; and byndith togidere the sorewes of hem.
4 Che conta il numero delle stelle; Che le chiama tutte per li nomi [loro].
Which noumbrith the multitude of sterris; and clepith names to alle tho.
5 Il nostro Signore [è] grande, e di gran forza; La sua intelligenza [è] infinita.
Oure Lord is greet, and his vertu is greet; and of his wisdom is no noumbre.
6 Il Signore solleva i mansueti; Ed abbatte gli empi fino a terra.
The Lord takith vp mylde men; forsothe he makith low synneris `til to the erthe.
7 Cantate al Signore con lode; Salmeggiate colla cetera all'Iddio nostro;
Bifore synge ye to the Lord in knoulechyng; seye ye salm to oure God in an harpe.
8 Il qual copre il cielo di nuvole, Ed apparecchia la pioggia alla terra, [E] fa che i monti producono l'erba.
Which hilith heuene with cloudis; and makith redi reyn to the erthe. Which bryngith forth hei in hillis; and eerbe to the seruice of men.
9 Che dà la sua pastura al bestiame. A' figli de' corvi, che gridano.
Which yyueth mete to her werk beestis; and to the briddys of crowis clepinge hym.
10 Egli non si compiace nella forza del cavallo; Egli non gradisce le gambe dell'uomo.
He schal not haue wille in the strengthe of an hors; nether it schal be wel plesaunt to hym in the leggis of a man.
11 Il Signore gradisce quelli che lo temono, Quelli che sperano nella sua benignità.
It is wel plesaunt to the Lord on men that dreden hym; and in hem that hopen on his mercy.
12 Gerusalemme, celebra il Signore; Sion, loda il tuo Dio.
Jerusalem, herie thou the Lord; Syon, herie thou thi God.
13 Perciocchè egli rinforza le sbarre delle tue porte; Egli benedice i tuoi figliuoli in mezzo di te.
For he hath coumfortid the lockis of thi yatis; he hath blessid thi sones in thee.
14 [Egli è quel] che mantiene il tuo paese in pace; Che ti sazia di grascia di frumento;
Which hath set thi coostis pees; and fillith thee with the fatnesse of wheete.
15 Che manda il suo dire in terra; [E] la sua parola corre velocissimamente;
Which sendith out his speche to the erthe; his word renneth swiftli.
16 Che manda la neve a guisa di lana; Che sparge la brina a guisa di cenere;
Which yyueth snow as wolle; spredith abrood a cloude as aische.
17 Che getta il suo ghiaccio come [per] pezzi; [E] chi potrà durar davanti al suo freddo?
He sendith his cristal as mussels; who schal suffre bifore the face of his cooldnesse?
18 Egli manda la sua parola, e fa struggere quelle cose; Egli fa soffiare il suo vento, [è] le acque corrono.
He schal sende out his word, and schal melte tho; his spirit schal blowe, and watris schulen flowe.
19 Egli annunzia le sue parole a Giacobbe; I suoi statuti e le sue leggi ad Israele.
Which tellith his word to Jacob; and hise riytfulnessis and domes to Israel.
20 Egli non ha fatto così a tutte le genti; Ed esse non conoscono le [sue] leggi. Alleluia.
He dide not so to ech nacioun; and he schewide not hise domes to hem.
