1 Beato l'uomo di integra condotta, che cammina nella legge del Signore. Alleluia.
ALEPH. Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord.
2 Beato chi è fedele ai suoi insegnamenti e lo cerca con tutto il cuore.
Blessed are they who search his testimonies: that seek him with their whole heart.
3 Non commette ingiustizie, cammina per le sue vie.
For they that work iniquity, have not walked in his ways.
4 Tu hai dato i tuoi precetti perché siano osservati fedelmente.
Thou hast commanded thy commandments to be kept most diligently.
5 Siano diritte le mie vie, nel custodire i tuoi decreti.
O! that my ways may be directed to keep thy justifications.
6 Allora non dovrò arrossire se avrò obbedito ai tuoi comandi.
Then shall I not be confounded, when I shall look into all thy commandments.
7 Ti loderò con cuore sincero quando avrò appreso le tue giuste sentenze.
I will praise thee with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned the judgments of thy justice.
8 Voglio osservare i tuoi decreti: non abbandonarmi mai.
I will keep thy justifications: O! do not thou utterly forsake me.
9 Come potrà un giovane tenere pura la sua via? Custodendo le tue parole.
BETH. By what doth a young man correct his way? by observing thy words.
10 Con tutto il cuore ti cerco: non farmi deviare dai tuoi precetti.
With my whole heart have I sought after thee: let me not stray from thy commandments.
11 Conservo nel cuore le tue parole per non offenderti con il peccato.
Thy words have I hidden in my heart, that I may not sin against thee.
12 Benedetto sei tu, Signore; mostrami il tuo volere.
Blessed art thou, O Lord: teach me thy justifications.
13 Con le mie labbra ho enumerato tutti i giudizi della tua bocca.
With my lips I have pronounced all the judgments of thy mouth.
14 Nel seguire i tuoi ordini è la mia gioia più che in ogni altro bene.
I have been delighted in the way of thy testimonies, as in all riches.
15 Voglio meditare i tuoi comandamenti, considerare le tue vie.
I will meditate on thy commandments: and I will consider thy ways.
16 Nella tua volontà è la mia gioia; mai dimenticherò la tua parola.
I will think of thy justifications: I will not forget thy words.
17 Sii buono con il tuo servo e avrò vita, custodirò la tua parola.
GIMEL. Give bountifully to thy servant, enliven me: and I shall keep thy words.
18 Aprimi gli occhi perché io veda le meraviglie della tua legge.
Open thou my eyes: and I will consider the wondrous things of thy law.
19 Io sono straniero sulla terra, non nascondermi i tuoi comandi.
I am a sojourner on the earth: hide not thy commandments from me.
20 Io mi consumo nel desiderio dei tuoi precetti in ogni tempo.
My soul hath coveted to long for thy justifications, at all times.
21 Tu minacci gli orgogliosi; maledetto chi devìa dai tuoi decreti.
Thou hast rebuked the proud: they are cursed who decline from thy commandments.
22 Allontana da me vergogna e disprezzo, perché ho osservato le tue leggi.
Remove from reproach and contempt: because I have sought after thy testimonies.
23 Siedono i potenti, mi calunniano, ma il tuo servo medita i tuoi decreti.
For princes sat, and spoke against me: but thy servant was employed in thy justifications.
24 Anche i tuoi ordini sono la mia gioia, miei consiglieri i tuoi precetti.
For thy testimonies are my (meditation) and thy justifications my counsel.
25 Io sono prostrato nella polvere; dammi vita secondo la tua parola.
DALETH. My soul hath cleaved to the pavement: quicken thou me according to thy word.
26 Ti ho manifestato le mie vie e mi hai risposto; insegnami i tuoi voleri.
I have declared my ways, and thou hast heard me: teach me thy justifications.
27 Fammi conoscere la via dei tuoi precetti e mediterò i tuoi prodigi.
Make me to understand the way of thy justifications: and I shall be exercised in thy wondrous works.
28 Io piango nella tristezza; sollevami secondo la tua promessa.
My soul hath slumbered through heaviness: strengthen thou me in thy words.
29 Tieni lontana da me la via della menzogna, fammi dono della tua legge.
Remove from me the way of iniquity: and out of thy law have mercy on me.
30 Ho scelto la via della giustizia, mi sono proposto i tuoi giudizi.
I have chosen the way of truth: thy judgments I have not forgotten.
31 Ho aderito ai tuoi insegnamenti, Signore, che io non resti confuso.
I have stuck to thy testimonies, O Lord: put me not to shame.
32 Corro per la via dei tuoi comandamenti, perché hai dilatato il mio cuore.
I have run the way of thy commandments, when thou didst enlarge my heart.
33 Indicami, Signore, la via dei tuoi decreti e la seguirò sino alla fine.
HE. Set before me for a law the way of thy justifications, O Lord: and I will always seek after it.
34 Dammi intelligenza, perché io osservi la tua legge e la custodisca con tutto il cuore.
Give me understanding, and I will search thy law; and I will keep it with my whole heart.
35 Dirigimi sul sentiero dei tuoi comandi, perché in esso è la mia gioia.
Lead me into the path of thy commandments; for this same I have desired.
36 Piega il mio cuore verso i tuoi insegnamenti e non verso la sete del guadagno.
Incline my heart into thy testimonies and not to covetousness.
37 Distogli i miei occhi dalle cose vane, fammi vivere sulla tua via.
Turn away my eyes that they may not behold vanity: quicken me in thy way.
38 Con il tuo servo sii fedele alla parola che hai data, perché ti si tema.
Establish thy word to thy servant, in thy fear.
39 Allontana l'insulto che mi sgomenta, poiché i tuoi giudizi sono buoni.
Turn away my reproach, which I have apprehended: for thy judgments are delightful.
40 Ecco, desidero i tuoi comandamenti; per la tua giustizia fammi vivere.
Behold I have longed after thy precepts: quicken me in thy justice.
41 Venga a me, Signore, la tua grazia, la tua salvezza secondo la tua promessa;
VAU. Let thy mercy also come upon me, O Lord: thy salvation according to thy word.
42 a chi mi insulta darò una risposta, perché ho fiducia nella tua parola.
So shall I answer them that reproach me in any thing; that I have trusted in thy words.
43 Non togliere mai dalla mia bocca la parola vera, perché confido nei tuoi giudizi.
And take not thou the word of truth utterly out of my mouth: for in thy words have I hoped exceedingly.
44 Custodirò la tua legge per sempre, nei secoli, in eterno.
So shall I always keep thy law, for ever and ever.
45 Sarò sicuro nel mio cammino, perché ho ricercato i tuoi voleri.
And I walked at large: because I have sought after thy commandments.
46 Davanti ai re parlerò della tua alleanza senza temere la vergogna.
And I spoke of thy testimonies before kings: and I was not ashamed.
47 Gioirò per i tuoi comandi che ho amati.
I meditated also on thy commandments, which I loved.
48 Alzerò le mani ai tuoi precetti che amo, mediterò le tue leggi.
And I lifted up my hands to thy commandments, which I loved: and I was exercised in thy justifications.
49 Ricorda la promessa fatta al tuo servo, con la quale mi hai dato speranza.
ZAIN. Be thou mindful of thy word to thy servant, in which thou hast given me hope.
50 Questo mi consola nella miseria: la tua parola mi fa vivere.
This hath comforted me in my humiliation: because thy word hath enlivened me.
51 I superbi mi insultano aspramente, ma non devìo dalla tua legge.
The proud did iniquitously altogether: but I declined not from thy law.
52 Ricordo i tuoi giudizi di un tempo, Signore, e ne sono consolato.
I remembered, O Lord, thy judgments of old: and I was comforted.
53 M'ha preso lo sdegno contro gli empi che abbandonano la tua legge.
A fainting hath taken hold of me, because of the wicked that forsake thy law.
54 Sono canti per me i tuoi precetti, nella terra del mio pellegrinaggio.
Thy justifications were the subject of my song, in the place of my pilgrimage.
55 Ricordo il tuo nome lungo la notte e osservo la tua legge, Signore.
In the night I have remembered thy name, O Lord: and have kept thy law.
56 Tutto questo mi accade perché ho custodito i tuoi precetti.
This happened to me: because I sought after thy justifications.
57 La mia sorte, ho detto, Signore, è custodire le tue parole.
HETH. O Lord, my portion, I have said, I would keep the law.
58 Con tutto il cuore ti ho supplicato, fammi grazia secondo la tua promessa.
I entreated thy face with all my heart: have mercy on me according to thy word.
59 Ho scrutato le mie vie, ho rivolto i miei passi verso i tuoi comandamenti.
I have thought on my ways: and turned my feet unto thy testimonies.
60 Sono pronto e non voglio tardare a custodire i tuoi decreti.
I am ready, and am not troubled: that I may keep thy commandments.
61 I lacci degli empi mi hanno avvinto, ma non ho dimenticato la tua legge.
The cords of the wicked have encompassed me: but I have not forgotten thy law.
62 Nel cuore della notte mi alzo a renderti lode per i tuoi giusti decreti.
I rose at midnight to give praise to thee; for the judgments of thy justification.
63 Sono amico di coloro che ti sono fedeli e osservano i tuoi precetti.
I am a partaker with all them that fear thee, and that keep thy commandments.
64 Del tuo amore, Signore, è piena la terra; insegnami il tuo volere.
The earth, O Lord, is full of thy mercy: teach me thy justifications.
65 Hai fatto il bene al tuo servo, Signore, secondo la tua parola.
TETH. Thou hast done well with thy servant, O Lord, according to thy word.
66 Insegnami il senno e la saggezza, perché ho fiducia nei tuoi comandamenti.
Teach me goodness and discipline and knowledge; for I have believed thy commandments.
67 Prima di essere umiliato andavo errando, ma ora osservo la tua parola.
Before I was humbled I offended; therefore have I kept thy word.
68 Tu sei buono e fai il bene, insegnami i tuoi decreti.
Thou art good; and in thy goodness teach me thy justifications.
69 Mi hanno calunniato gli insolenti, ma io con tutto il cuore osservo i tuoi precetti.
The iniquity of the proud hath been multiplied over me: but I will seek thy commandments with my whole heart.
70 Torpido come il grasso è il loro cuore, ma io mi diletto della tua legge.
Their heart is curdled like milk: but I have meditated on thy law.
71 Bene per me se sono stato umiliato, perché impari ad obbedirti.
It is good for me that thou hast humbled me, that I may learn thy justifications.
72 La legge della tua bocca mi è preziosa più di mille pezzi d'oro e d'argento.
The law of thy mouth is good to me, above thousands of gold and silver.
73 Le tue mani mi hanno fatto e plasmato; fammi capire e imparerò i tuoi comandi.
JOD. Thy hands have made me and formed me: give me understanding, and I will learn thy commandments.
74 I tuoi fedeli al vedermi avranno gioia, perché ho sperato nella tua parola.
They that fear thee shall see me, and shall be glad: because I have greatly hoped in thy words.
75 Signore, so che giusti sono i tuoi giudizi e con ragione mi hai umiliato.
I know, O Lord, that thy judgments are equity: and in thy truth thou hast humbled me.
76 Mi consoli la tua grazia, secondo la tua promessa al tuo servo.
O! let thy mercy be for my comfort, according to thy word unto thy servant.
77 Venga su di me la tua misericordia e avrò vita, poiché la tua legge è la mia gioia.
Let thy tender mercies come unto me, and I shall live: for thy law is my (meditation)
78 Siano confusi i superbi che a torto mi opprimono; io mediterò la tua legge.
Let the proud be ashamed, because they have done unjustly towards me: but I will be employed in thy commandments.
79 Si volgano a me i tuoi fedeli e quelli che conoscono i tuoi insegnamenti.
Let them that fear thee turn to me and they that know thy testimonies.
80 Sia il mio cuore integro nei tuoi precetti, perché non resti confuso.
Let my heart be undefiled in thy justifications, that I may not be confounded.
81 Mi consumo nell'attesa della tua salvezza, spero nella tua parola.
CAPH. My soul hath fainted after thy salvation: and in thy word I have very much hoped.
82 Si consumano i miei occhi dietro la tua promessa, mentre dico: «Quando mi darai conforto?».
My eyes have failed for thy word, saying: When wilt thou comfort me?
83 Io sono come un otre esposto al fumo, ma non dimentico i tuoi insegnamenti.
For I am become like a bottle in the frost: I have not forgotten thy justifications.
84 Quanti saranno i giorni del tuo servo? Quando farai giustizia dei miei persecutori?
How many are the days of thy servant: when wilt thou execute judgment on them that persecute me?
85 Mi hanno scavato fosse gli insolenti che non seguono la tua legge.
The wicked have told me fables: but not as thy law.
86 Verità sono tutti i tuoi comandi; a torto mi perseguitano: vieni in mio aiuto.
All thy statutes are truth: they have persecuted me unjustly, do thou help me.
87 Per poco non mi hanno bandito dalla terra, ma io non ho abbandonato i tuoi precetti.
They had almost made an end of me upon earth: but I have not forsaken thy commandments.
88 Secondo il tuo amore fammi vivere e osserverò le parole della tua bocca.
Quicken thou me according to thy mercy: and I shall keep the testimonies of thy mouth.
89 La tua parola, Signore, è stabile come il cielo.
LAMED. For ever, O Lord, thy word standeth firm in heaven.
90 La tua fedeltà dura per ogni generazione; hai fondato la terra ed essa è salda.
Thy truth unto all generations: thou hast founded the earth, and it continueth.
91 Per tuo decreto tutto sussiste fino ad oggi, perché ogni cosa è al tuo servizio.
By thy ordinance the day goeth on: for all things serve thee.
92 Se la tua legge non fosse la mia gioia, sarei perito nella mia miseria.
Unless thy law had been my (meditation) I had then perhaps perished in my abjection.
93 Mai dimenticherò i tuoi precetti: per essi mi fai vivere.
Thy justifications I will never forget: for by them thou hast given me life.
94 Io sono tuo: salvami, perché ho cercato il tuo volere.
I am thine, save thou me: for I have sought thy justifications.
95 Gli empi mi insidiano per rovinarmi, ma io medito i tuoi insegnamenti.
The wicked have waited for me to destroy me: but I have understood thy testimonies.
96 Di ogni cosa perfetta ho visto il limite, ma la tua legge non ha confini.
I have seen an end to all persecution: thy commandment is exceeding broad.
97 Quanto amo la tua legge, Signore; tutto il giorno la vado meditando.
MEM. O how have I loved thy law, O Lord! it is my meditation all the day.
98 Il tuo precetto mi fa più saggio dei miei nemici, perché sempre mi accompagna.
Through thy commandment, thou hast made me wiser than my enemies: for it is ever with me.
99 Sono più saggio di tutti i miei maestri, perché medito i tuoi insegnamenti.
I have understood more than all my teachers: because thy testimonies are my (meditation)
100 Ho più senno degli anziani, perché osservo i tuoi precetti.
I have had understanding above ancients: because I have sought thy commandments.
101 Tengo lontano i miei passi da ogni via di male, per custodire la tua parola.
I have restrained my feet from every evil way: that I may keep thy words.
102 Non mi allontano dai tuoi giudizi, perché sei tu ad istruirmi.
I have not declined from thy judgments, because thou hast set me a law.
103 Quanto sono dolci al mio palato le tue parole: più del miele per la mia bocca.
How sweet are thy words to my palate! more than honey to my mouth.
104 Dai tuoi decreti ricevo intelligenza, per questo odio ogni via di menzogna.
By thy commandments I have had understanding: therefore have I hated every way of iniquity.
105 Lampada per i miei passi è la tua parola, luce sul mio cammino.
NUN. Thy word is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my paths.
106 Ho giurato, e lo confermo, di custodire i tuoi precetti di giustizia.
I have sworn and am determined to keep the judgments of thy justice.
107 Sono stanco di soffrire, Signore, dammi vita secondo la tua parola.
I have been humbled, O Lord, exceedingly: quicken thou me according to thy word.
108 Signore, gradisci le offerte delle mie labbra, insegnami i tuoi giudizi.
The free offerings of my mouth make acceptable, O Lord: and teach me thy judgments.
109 La mia vita è sempre in pericolo, ma non dimentico la tua legge.
My soul is continually in my hands: and I have not forgotten thy law.
110 Gli empi mi hanno teso i loro lacci, ma non ho deviato dai tuoi precetti.
Sinners have laid a snare for me: but I have not erred from thy precepts.
111 Mia eredità per sempre sono i tuoi insegnamenti, sono essi la gioia del mio cuore.
I have purchased thy testimonies for an inheritance for ever: because they are a joy to my heart.
112 Ho piegato il mio cuore ai tuoi comandamenti, in essi è la mia ricompensa per sempre.
I have inclined my heart to do thy justifications for ever, for the reward.
113 Detesto gli animi incostanti, io amo la tua legge.
SAMECH. I have hated the unjust: and have loved thy law.
114 Tu sei mio rifugio e mio scudo, spero nella tua parola.
Thou art my helper and my protector: and in thy word I have greatly hoped.
115 Allontanatevi da me o malvagi, osserverò i precetti del mio Dio.
Depart from me, ye malignant: and I will search the commandments of my God.
116 Sostienimi secondo la tua parola e avrò vita, non deludermi nella mia speranza.
Uphold me according to thy word, and I shall live: and let me not be confounded in my expectation.
117 Sii tu il mio aiuto e sarò salvo, gioirò sempre nei tuoi precetti.
Help me, and I shall be saved: and I will meditate always on thy justifications.
118 Tu disprezzi chi abbandona i tuoi decreti, perché la sua astuzia è fallace.
Thou hast despised all them that fall off from thy judgments; for their thought is unjust.
119 Consideri scorie tutti gli empi della terra, perciò amo i tuoi insegnamenti.
I have accounted all the sinners of the earth prevaricators: therefore have I loved thy testimonies.
120 Tu fai fremere di spavento la mia carne, io temo i tuoi giudizi.
Pierce thou my flesh with thy fear: for I am afraid of thy judgments.
121 Ho agito secondo diritto e giustizia; non abbandonarmi ai miei oppressori.
AIN. I have done judgment and justice: give me not up to them that slander me.
122 Assicura il bene al tuo servo; non mi opprimano i superbi.
Uphold thy servant unto good: let not the proud calumniate me.
123 I miei occhi si consumano nell'attesa della tua salvezza e della tua parola di giustizia.
My eyes have fainted after thy salvation: and for the word of thy justice.
124 Agisci con il tuo servo secondo il tuo amore e insegnami i tuoi comandamenti.
Deal with thy servant according to thy mercy: and teach me thy justifications.
125 Io sono tuo servo, fammi comprendere e conoscerò i tuoi insegnamenti.
I am thy servant: give me understanding that I may know thy testimonies.
126 E' tempo che tu agisca, Signore; hanno violato la tua legge.
It is time, O Lord, to do: they have dissipated thy law.
127 Perciò amo i tuoi comandamenti più dell'oro, più dell'oro fino.
Therefore have I loved thy commandments above gold and the topaz.
128 Per questo tengo cari i tuoi precetti e odio ogni via di menzogna.
Therefore was I directed to all thy commandments: I have hated all wicked ways.
129 Meravigliosa è la tua alleanza, per questo le sono fedele.
PHE. Thy testimonies are wonderful: therefore my soul hath sought them.
130 La tua parola nel rivelarsi illumina, dona saggezza ai semplici.
The declaration of thy words giveth light: and giveth understanding to little ones.
131 Apro anelante la bocca, perché desidero i tuoi comandamenti.
I opened my mouth and panted: because I longed for thy commandments.
132 Volgiti a me e abbi misericordia, tu che sei giusto per chi ama il tuo nome.
Look thou upon me, and have mercy on me, according to the judgment of them that love thy name.
133 Rendi saldi i miei passi secondo la tua parola e su di me non prevalga il male.
Direct my steps according to thy word: and let no iniquity have dominion over me.
134 Salvami dall'oppressione dell'uomo e obbedirò ai tuoi precetti.
Redeem me from the calumnies of men: that I may keep thy commandments.
135 Fà risplendere il volto sul tuo servo e insegnami i tuoi comandamenti.
Make thy face to shine upon thy servant: and teach me thy justifications.
136 Fiumi di lacrime mi scendono dagli occhi, perché non osservano la tua legge.
My eyes have sent forth springs of water: because they have not kept thy law.
137 Tu sei giusto, Signore, e retto nei tuoi giudizi.
SADE. Thou art just, O Lord: and thy judgment is right.
138 Con giustizia hai ordinato le tue leggi e con fedeltà grande.
Thou hast commanded justice thy testimonies: and thy truth exceedingly.
139 Mi divora lo zelo della tua casa, perché i miei nemici dimenticano le tue parole.
My zeal hath made me pine away: because my enemies forgot thy words.
140 Purissima è la tua parola, il tuo servo la predilige.
Thy word is exceedingly refined: and thy servant hath loved it.
141 Io sono piccolo e disprezzato, ma non trascuro i tuoi precetti.
I am very young and despised; but I forgot not thy justifications.
142 La tua giustizia è giustizia eterna e verità è la tua legge.
Thy justice is justice for ever: and thy law is the truth.
143 Angoscia e affanno mi hanno colto, ma i tuoi comandi sono la mia gioia.
Trouble and anguish have found me: thy commandments are my (meditation)
144 Giusti sono i tuoi insegnamenti per sempre, fammi comprendere e avrò la vita.
Thy testimonies are justice for ever: give me understanding, and I shall live.
145 T'invoco con tutto il cuore, Signore, rispondimi; custodirò i tuoi precetti.
COPH. I cried with my whole heart, hear me, O Lord: I will seek thy justifications.
146 Io ti chiamo, salvami, e seguirò i tuoi insegnamenti.
I cried unto thee, save me: that I may keep thy commandments.
147 Precedo l'aurora e grido aiuto, spero sulla tua parola.
I prevented the dawning of the day, and cried: because in thy words I very much hoped.
148 I miei occhi prevengono le veglie per meditare sulle tue promesse.
My eyes to thee have prevented the morning: that I might meditate on thy words.
149 Ascolta la mia voce, secondo la tua grazia; Signore, fammi vivere secondo il tuo giudizio.
Hear thou my voice, O Lord, according to thy mercy: and quicken me according to thy mercy.
150 A tradimento mi assediano i miei persecutori, sono lontani dalla tua legge.
They that persecute me have drawn nigh to iniquity; but they are gone far off from the law.
151 Ma tu, Signore, sei vicino, tutti i tuoi precetti sono veri.
Thou art near, O Lord: and all thy ways are truth.
152 Da tempo conosco le tue testimonianze che hai stabilite per sempre.
I have known from the beginning concerning thy testimonies: that thou hast founded them for ever.
153 Vedi la mia miseria, salvami, perché non ho dimenticato la tua legge.
RES. See my humiliation and deliver me: for I have not forgotten the law.
154 Difendi la mia causa, riscattami, secondo la tua parola fammi vivere.
Judge my judgment and redeem me: quicken thou me for thy word’s sake.
155 Lontano dagli empi è la salvezza, perché non cercano il tuo volere.
Salvation is far from sinners; because they have not sought thy justifications.
156 Le tue misericordie sono grandi, Signore, secondo i tuoi giudizi fammi vivere.
Many, O Lord, are thy mercies: quicken me according to thy judgment.
157 Sono molti i persecutori che mi assalgono, ma io non abbandono le tue leggi.
Many are they that persecute me, and afflict me; but I have not declined from thy testimonies.
158 Ho visto i ribelli e ne ho provato ribrezzo, perché non custodiscono la tua parola.
I beheld the transgressors, and I pined away; because they kept not thy word.
159 Vedi che io amo i tuoi precetti, Signore, secondo la tua grazia dammi vita.
Behold I have loved thy commandments, O Lord; quicken me thou in thy mercy.
160 La verità è principio della tua parola, resta per sempre ogni sentenza della tua giustizia.
The beginning of thy words is truth: all the judgments of thy justice are for ever.
161 I potenti mi perseguitano senza motivo, ma il mio cuore teme le tue parole.
SIN. Princes have persecuted me without cause: and my heart hath been in awe of thy words.
162 Io gioisco per la tua promessa, come uno che trova grande tesoro.
I will rejoice at thy words, as one that hath found great spoil.
163 Odio il falso e lo detesto, amo la tua legge.
I have hated and abhorred iniquity; but I have loved thy law.
164 Sette volte al giorno io ti lodo per le sentenze della tua giustizia.
Seven times a day I have given praise to thee, for the judgments of thy justice.
165 Grande pace per chi ama la tua legge, nel suo cammino non trova inciampo.
Much peace have they that love thy law, and to them there is no stumbling block.
166 Aspetto da te la salvezza, Signore, e obbedisco ai tuoi comandi.
I looked to thy salvation, O Lord: and I loved thy commandments.
167 Io custodisco i tuoi insegnamenti e li amo sopra ogni cosa.
My soul hath kept thy testimonies: and hath loved them exceedingly.
168 Osservo i tuoi decreti e i tuoi insegnamenti: davanti a te sono tutte le mie vie.
I have kept thy commandments and thy testimonies: because all my ways are in thy sight.
169 Giunga il mio grido fino a te, Signore, fammi comprendere secondo la tua parola.
TAU. Let my supplication, O Lord, come near in thy sight: give me understanding according to thy word.
170 Venga al tuo volto la mia supplica, salvami secondo la tua promessa.
Let my request come in before thee; deliver thou me according to thy word.
171 Scaturisca dalle mie labbra la tua lode, poiché mi insegni i tuoi voleri.
My lips shall utter a hymn, when thou shalt teach me thy justifications.
172 La mia lingua canti le tue parole, perché sono giusti tutti i tuoi comandamenti.
My tongue shall pronounce thy word: because all thy commandments are justice.
173 Mi venga in aiuto la tua mano, poiché ho scelto i tuoi precetti.
Let thy hand be with me to save me; for I have chosen thy precepts.
174 Desidero la tua salvezza, Signore, e la tua legge è tutta la mia gioia.
I have longed for thy salvation, O Lord; and thy law is my (meditation)
175 Possa io vivere e darti lode, mi aiutino i tuoi giudizi.
My soul shall live and shall praise thee: and thy judgments shall help me.
176 Come pecora smarrita vado errando; cerca il tuo servo, perché non ho dimenticato i tuoi comandamenti.
I have gone astray like a sheep that is lost: seek thy servant, because I have not forgotten thy commandments.
