< 1 Korintho 1 >

1 U Paulo, naewilangilwe nu Yesu Kilisto kutula mutume kuulowa wang'wi Tunda, nu Sosthene muluwa witu.
Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and our brother Sosthenes,
2 Kitekeelo nilang'wi Tunda nilikole kukorintho, kuawa niaikilwe wakfu mung'wa yesu Kilisto, neitangilwe kutula antu neatakatifu. Kuuaandekila ga nawa ehi neelitanga elina lamukkulu witu u Yesu Kilisto mukianza kehi, Mukulu nuao nuyu nuulu.
to the assembly of God which is at Corinth—those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called saints, with all who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ in every place, both theirs and ours:
3 Ukende nuupolo utule kung'waanyu kupuma kung'wi Tunda utata witu nu Mukulu witu u Yesu Kilisto.
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
4 Mahiku ehi numusongeeye Itunda nuane kunsoko anyu, kunsoko aukende wang'wi Tunda nu Yesu Kilisto awapee.
I always thank my God concerning you for the grace of God which was given you in Christ Jesus,
5 Watendile kutula agole kukila nzila, muutambu mpalung'wi nimahala ehi.
that in everything you were enriched in him, in all speech and all knowledge—
6 Watendile agole, anga uwikengwi kukiila kung'wa Kilisto kina ugombilwe kutai mumo mitalanyu.
even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you—
7 Kuite gwa shamukuhielwa uupegwe yakenkolo, anga nimukete insula nakulindiila ukunukuilwe nua Mukulu witu u Yesu Kilisto.
so that you come behind in no gift, waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ,
8 Ukumukomisa unye gwa, sunga impelo nsoko muleke kumelwa muluhiku nula Mukulu witu u Yesu Kilisto.
who will also confirm you until the end, blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
9 Itunda shawikalika naumitangile unye muupalung'wi nuang'wakwe, u Yesu Mkulu witu.
God is faithful, through whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
10 Itungeli kumupepeelya akaka niadada ane, kukiila elina nila Mukulu witu u Yesu Kilisto, kina ehi agombe, hange kina itule kutile uwikomi mung'waanyu. Kumupepelya kina mihanguile palung'wi kisigo ling'wi nuupikeeli ung'wi.
Now I beg you, brothers, through the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfected together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
11 Inge iantu amito nilawa Klowe ambila kina ukole wikani nulongolekile mitalanyu.
For it has been reported to me concerning you, my brothers, by those who are from Chloe’s household, that there are contentions among you.
12 Nkete ndogoilyo siye: Kela ung'wi wanyu wilunga, unene niang'wa Paulo,” ang'wi, “unene niang'wa Apolo,” ang'wi niang'wa Kefa” ang'wi “unene niang'wa Kilisto.”
Now I mean this, that each one of you says, “I follow Paul,” “I follow Apollos,” “I follow Cephas,” and, “I follow Christ.”
13 Itee, Ukilisto utemanukilene? Itee, Upaulo aewagigwe kunsoko anyune? Itea, aemubadisigwe kulina lang'wa Paulone?
Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized into the name of Paul?
14 Nimusongeeye Itunda kina singa aembadisilya wehi inge Ukilisto du nu Gayo.
I thank God that I baptized none of you except Crispus and Gaius,
15 Iye naeyezetula kina kutile wehi nauzelunga mbadisigwe kulina lane.
so that no one should say that I had baptized you into my own name.
16 (Aeniabadisilye ga nawaniamilo nilang'wa Stephania. Kukila pang'wanso, singanengile ang'wi aenamubadisa muntu numungiza wehi).
(I also baptized the household of Stephanas; besides them, I don’t know whether I baptized any other.)
17 Kunsoko u Kilisto shanga auntumile kubadisa inge aekutanatya inkani ninziza. Shanga auntumile kutanantya inkani niikulyo lakuuntu, nsoko kina engulu nikota lampaga nilang'wa Kilisto ilekekuhegigwa.
For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the Good News—not in wisdom of words, so that the cross of Christ wouldn’t be made void.
18 Kunsoko ulukani likota lampaga upungu huawa niakusha kuite kuawa ni Tunda ukuaguna, ngulu ang'wi Tunda.
For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are dying, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
19 Kunsoko iandekile, “Kubipya ikulyo lao awa niakete kubipya ulingi wao nuamahala.
For it is written, “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise. I will bring the discernment of the discerning to nothing.”
20 Ukolipe umuntu nukete ikulyo? Ukolipe nukete umanyisi? Ukolipe umutambuli umupepeli nuamuunkumbigulu uwu? Itee, Itunda shamaaupiunene ikulyo nilamuunkumbigulu uwu kutula upugu? (aiōn g165)
Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Hasn’t God made foolish the wisdom of this world? (aiōn g165)
21 Kupuma uunkumbigulu nikulyo lakwe shaeumulengile Itunda, aeyemunonee tunda kuupungu wao nuautananti nsoko waagune awa niakuhuela.
For seeing that in the wisdom of God, the world through its wisdom didn’t know God, it was God’s good pleasure through the foolishness of the preaching to save those who believe.
22 Iayahudi ekolya ilengasiilyo niamakula nukuayunani eduma ikulyo.
For Jews ask for signs, Greeks seek after wisdom,
23 Kuite kuumutanantya u Kilisto naeupagekilwe, naekimeli kuayahudi muupungu kuayunani.
but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Greeks,
24 Kuite awanaeitangilwe ni Tunda, Iayahudi nia Yunani, kuu mutanantya u Kilisto anga ngulu nikulyo lang'wi Tunda.
but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God;
25 Kunsoko u upungu nuang'wa Itunda, ukete upolo ikila nua ana adamu, nu unyeku nuang'wa Itunda ukete ngulu ikilo nua ana adamu.
because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
26 Gozi uwitangi nuang'wi Tunda kung'waanyu, akaka niadada ane. Singa aemiedu tai naemukete ingulu. Singamiedu tai nemutugilwe muukulu.
For you see your calling, brothers, that not many are wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, and not many noble;
27 Kuite Itunda ausague imaintu nimapungu namihe nsoko akuhumye iminyala aya nakete ikulyo. Itunda ausague aya nimanegetu nikamihe kukihumya iminyala nikikete ingulu.
but God chose the foolish things of the world that he might put to shame those who are wise. God chose the weak things of the world that he might put to shame the things that are strong.
28 Itunda ausague iki nikikole pihe nikinikimeilwe munumuhe. Ausague nimaintu nisinga aiaaigwe kina maintu nukimatenda singa kintu imaintu nakete insailo.
God chose the lowly things of the world, and the things that are despised, and the things that don’t exist, that he might bring to nothing the things that exist,
29 Autendile ite nsoko itule kutile wehi nukete insoko akihumbula ntongeela akwe.
that no flesh should boast before God.
30 Kunsoko aeki Itunda nukitendile, itungo ile mukole mukati ang'wa Yesu Kilisto, nutendekile ikulyo kunsoko itu kupuma kung'wi Tunda. Naetai itu, utakatifu nukomolwi.
Because of him, you are in Christ Jesus, who was made to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption,
31 Anga wigeeli, anga ulukani nululungile, “nukikulya, wikulye Mumukulu.”
that, as it is written, “He who boasts, let him boast in the Lord.”
