Mazmur 36

1 Untuk pemimpin biduan. Dari hamba TUHAN, dari Daud. Dosa bertutur di lubuk hati orang fasik; rasa takut kepada Allah tidak ada pada orang itu,

For the end, by David the servant of the Lord. The transgressor, that he may sin, says within himself, [that] there is no fear of God before his eyes.

2 sebab ia membujuk dirinya, sampai orang mendapati kesalahannya dan membencinya.

For he has dealt craftily before him, to discover his iniquity and hate it.

3 Perkataan dari mulutnya ialah kejahatan dan tipu daya, ia berhenti berlaku bijaksana dan berbuat baik.

The words of his mouth are transgression and deceit: he is not inclined to understand [how] to do good.

4 Kejahatan dirancangkannya di tempat tidurnya, ia menempatkan dirinya di jalan yang tidak baik; apa yang jahat tidak ditolaknya.

He devises iniquity on his bed; he gives himself to every evil way; and does not abhor evil.

5 Ya TUHAN, kasih-Mu sampai ke langit, setia-Mu sampai ke awan.

O Lord, your mercy is in the heaven; and your truth [reaches] to the clouds.

6 Keadilan-Mu adalah seperti gunung-gunung Allah, hukum-Mu bagaikan samudera raya yang hebat. Manusia dan hewan Kauselamatkan, ya TUHAN.

Your righteousness is as the mountains of God, your judgments are as a great deep: O Lord, you will preserve men and beasts.

7 Betapa berharganya kasih setia-Mu, ya Allah! Anak-anak manusia berlindung dalam naungan sayap-Mu.

How have you multiplied your mercy, O God! so the children of men shall trust in the shelter of your wings.

8 Mereka mengenyangkan dirinya dengan lemak di rumah-Mu; Engkau memberi mereka minum dari sungai kesenangan-Mu.

They shall be fully satisfied with the fatness of your house; and you shall cause them to drink of the full stream of your delights.

9 Sebab pada-Mu ada sumber hayat, di dalam terang-Mu kami melihat terang.

For with you is the fountain of life: in your light we shall see light.

10 Lanjutkanlah kasih setia-Mu bagi orang yang mengenal Engkau, dan keadilan-Mu bagi orang yang tulus hati!

Extend your mercy to them that know you; and your righteousness to the upright in heart.

11 Janganlah kiranya kaki orang-orang congkak menginjak aku, dan tangan orang fasik mengusir aku.

Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of sinners move me.

12 Lihat, orang-orang yang melakukan kejahatan itu jatuh; mereka dibanting dan tidak dapat bangun lagi.

There have all the workers of iniquity fallen: they are cast out, and shall not be able to stand.
