Matius 28
1 Setelah Sabat, saat fajar pada hari pertama minggu itu, Maria Magdalena dan Maria yang lain pergi mengunjungi kuburan itu.
After (the Sabbath/the Jewish day of rest) [ended], on Sunday morning at dawn, Mary from Magdala and the other Mary went to look at the tomb.
2 Tiba-tiba terjadi gempa bumi yang dahsyat, sebab seorang malaikat Tuhan turun dari surga dan menggulingkan batu itu serta duduk di atasnya.
Suddenly there was a strong earthquake. [At the same time] an angel from God came down from heaven. He [went to the tomb and] rolled the stone away [from the entrance so that everyone could see that the tomb was empty]. Then he sat on the stone.
3 Wajahnya bersinar seperti kilat, dan pakaiannya seputih salju.
His appearance was [as bright] [SIM] as lightning, and his clothes were as white as snow.
4 Para penjaga gemetar ketakutan, jatuh rebah seakan-akan mereka sudah mati.
The guards shook because they were very afraid. Then they became [completely motionless], as though they were dead.
5 Malaikat itu berkata kepada para perempuan itu, “Jangan takut! Aku tahu kalian mencari Yesus yang sudah disalibkan itu.
The angel said to the two women, “You should not be afraid! I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was {whom they} (nailed to a cross/crucified).
6 Dia tidak ada disini. Dia sudah bangkit dari kematian, seperti yang sudah Dia katakan. Mari dan lihatlah tempat Tuhan dahulu diletakkan.
He is not here! [God] has (caused him to be alive again/raised him [from the dead]), just like [Jesus] told you [would happen!] Come and see the place where his body lay!
7 Sekarang, pergilah cepat, dan katakan kepada murid-murid-Nya bahwa Dia sudah bangkit dari kematian dan Dia akan pergi mendahului kalian ke Galilea. Kalian akan bertemu dengan Dia disana!”
Then go quickly and tell his disciples, ‘He has risen from the dead! He will go ahead of you to Galilee [district]. You will see him there.’ [Pay attention to what] I have told you!”
8 Dengan segera mereka meninggalkan kuburan itu, merasa takut sekaligus gembira, berlari memberitahu kejadian itu kepada murid-murid Yesus.
So the women left the tomb quickly. They were afraid, but they were [also] very joyful. They ran to tell us disciples [what had happened].
9 Tiba-tiba Yesus datang menemui dan menyapa mereka. Dengan segera mereka menghampiri Yesus, memegang kaki-Nya dan menyembah Dia.
Suddenly, [as they were running], Jesus appeared to them. He said, “Greetings!” The women came close to him. They knelt down and clasped his feet and worshipped him.
10 Berkatalah Yesus kepada mereka, “Jangan takut! Pergi dan katakanlah kepada saudara-saudara-Ku untuk berangkat ke Galilea, dan mereka akan bertemu dengan-Ku di sana.”
Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid! Go and tell (all my disciples/all those who have been accompanying me) that they should go to Galilee. They will see me there.”
11 Sementara mereka pergi, beberapa penjaga masuk ke kota dan melaporkan kepada para imam kepala segala sesuatu yang sudah terjadi.
While the women were going, some of the soldiers who had been guarding [the tomb] went into the city. They reported to the chief priests everything that had happened.
12 Sesudah para imam kepala bertemu dengan para pemimpin bangsa Israel, mereka bersepakat menjalankan sebuah rencana. Mereka menyuap para penjaga itu dengan banyak uang.
So the chief priests and Jewish elders met together. They made a plan [to explain why the tomb was empty]. They gave the soldiers a lot of money [as a bribe].
13 “Sebarkanlah berita ini, bahwa murid-murid Yesus datang di waktu malam dan mencuri mayat-Nya ketika kami sedang tertidur,” kata mereka kepada para prajurit.
They said, “Tell people, ‘His disciples came during the night and stole his [body] while we were sleeping.’
14 “Dan jika Gubernur mendengar berita ini, kami akan bicara dengan dia, kalian tidak perlu kuatir.”
If the governor hears [MTY] about this, we ourselves will make sure that he does not get angry [and punish you]. [So you will not have to worry].”
15 Jadi para prajurit itu menerima uang suap itu, dan melakukan apa yang diperintahkan. Cerita inilah yang menyebar di antara orang Yahudi bahkan sampai ke hari ini.
So the soldiers took the money and did as they were told {as [the chief priests and elders] told them}. And this story has been told {People have told this story} among the Jews to the very day [that I am writing] this.
16 Tetapi ke sebelas murid Yesus pergi ke Galilea, ke tempat yang sudah Yesus katakan kepada mereka di atas sebuah gunung.
[Later we] eleven [disciples] went to Galilee [district]. We went to the mountain where Jesus had told [us] to go.
17 Ketika mereka melihat Dia, sujudlah mereka menyembah-Nya, sekalipun ada di antara mereka yang ragu-ragu.
We saw him [there] and worshipped him. But some of [us] doubted [that it was really Jesus, and that he had become alive again].
18 Yesus menghampiri mereka yang masih ragu-ragu dan berkata, “Semua kuasa yang ada di bumi dan di surga sudah diserahkan kepada-Ku.
Then Jesus came [close] to [us] and said, “[My Father] has given me all authority over everything and everyone in heaven and on earth.
19 Maka itu pergilah, dan muridkanlah orang-orang dari segala bangsa, dan baptislah mereka dalam nama Bapa dan Anak dan Roh Kudus.
So go, and [using my authority, teach my message to] people of all ethnic groups so that they may become my disciples. Baptize them [to be under the authority of] [MTY] my Father, and of me, his Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
20 Ajarlah mereka untuk mengikuti semua perintah yang sudah Aku berikan kepada kalian. Dan ingatlah ini, bahwa Aku selalu bersama dengan kalian, sampai dunia ini berakhir.” (aiōn g165)
Teach them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember that [by the Spirit] I will be with you always, until the end of [this] age.” (aiōn g165)
