3 Anak lelaki Yehuda ada lima orang. Dari istrinya yang bernama Batsyua, wanita Kanaan, lahir Er, Onan dan Sela; dari istrinya yang bernama Tamar, yaitu anak menantunya sendiri, lahir Peres dan Zerah. Er anak sulung Yehuda itu sangat jahat, sehingga TUHAN membunuhnya.

9 Hezron mempunyai tiga anak laki-laki: Yerahmeel, Ram dan Kaleb.

17 Abigail kawin dengan Yeter keturunan Ismael. Mereka mempunyai seorang anak laki-laki bernama Amasa.

18 Kaleb anak Hezron kawin dengan Azuba dan mendapat seorang anak perempuan bernama Yeriot. Yeriot ini mempunyai tiga anak laki-laki: Yezer, Sobab, Ardon.
Caleb the son of Hezron had sons by his wife Azubah, and by Jerioth; and these were her sons: Jesher, and Shobab, and Ardon.
19 Setelah Azuba meninggal, Kaleb kawin dengan Efrat dan mendapat seorang anak laki-laki bernama Hur.
Azubah died, and Caleb took to himself Ephrath, who bore him Hur.
20 Anak laki-laki Hur bernama Uri dan cucunya bernama Bezaleel.
Hur became the father of Uri, and Uri became the father of Bezalel.
21 Ketika Hezron berumur 60 tahun ia kawin dengan saudara perempuan Gilead, anak Makhir. Mereka mendapat seorang anak laki-laki bernama Segub,

22 dan Segub mendapat seorang anak laki-laki bernama Yair, yang mempunyai 23 desa di wilayah Gilead.

28 Anak laki-laki Onam ada dua orang: Samai dan Yada. Samai pun mempunyai dua anak laki-laki, yaitu Nadab dan Abisur.
The sons of Onam were Shammai, and Jada. The sons of Shammai: Nadab, and Abishur.
29 Abisur kawin dengan Abihail dan mereka mendapat dua anak laki-laki; Ahban dan Molid.
The name of the wife of Abishur was Abihail; and she bore him Ahban, and Molid.
30 Nadab abang Abisur mempunyai dua anak laki-laki juga yang bernama Seled dan Apaim, tetapi Seled meninggal tanpa mempunyai anak laki-laki.
The sons of Nadab: Seled, and Appaim; but Seled died without children.
31 Apaim adalah ayah Yisei, Yisei ayah Sesan, dan Sesan ayah Ahlai.
The sons of Appaim: Ishi. The sons of Ishi: Sheshan. The sons of Sheshan: Ahlai.
32 Yada saudara Samai mempunyai dua anak laki-laki bernama Yeter dan Yonatan. Tetapi Yeter meninggal tanpa mempunyai anak laki-laki.
The sons of Jada the brother of Shammai: Jether, and Jonathan; and Jether died without children.
33 Yonatan mempunyai dua anak laki-laki, yaitu Pelet dan Zaza. Mereka semua adalah keturunan Yerahmeel.
The sons of Jonathan: Peleth, and Zaza. These were the descendants of Jerahmeel.
34 Sesan tidak mempunyai anak laki-laki, hanya anak perempuan. Hambanya, seorang Mesir bernama Yarha,
Now Sheshan had no sons, but daughters. Sheshan had a servant, an Egyptian, whose name was Jarha.
35 dikawinkannya dengan salah seorang anaknya. Mereka mendapat anak laki-laki yang bernama Atai.

and Shallum became the father of Jekamiah, and Jekamiah became the father of Elishama.
42 Kaleb saudara Yerahmeel mempunyai seorang anak laki-laki bernama Mesa. Ia anak sulung. Mesa adalah ayah Zif, Zif ayah Maresa, Maresa ayah Hebron.
The sons of Caleb the brother of Jerahmeel: Mesha his firstborn, who was the father of Ziph; and the sons of Mareshah, the father of Hebron.
43 Hebron mempunyai empat anak laki-laki: Korah, Tapuah, Rekem dan Sema.
The sons of Hebron: Korah, and Tappuah, and Rekem, and Shema.
44 Sema adalah ayah Raham. Cucu Sema bernama Yorkeam. Rekem abang Sema adalah ayah Samai;
Shema became the father of Raham, the father of Jorkeam; and Rekem became the father of Shammai.
45 Samai ayah Maon, dan Maon ayah Bet-Zur.
The son of Shammai was Maon; and Maon was the father of Beth Zur.
46 Kaleb mempunyai selir bernama Efa. Mereka mendapat tiga anak laki-laki bernama Haran, Moza dan Gazes. Haran juga mempunyai anak yang bernama Gazes.
Ephah, Caleb's secondary wife, bore Haran, and Moza, and Gazez; and Haran became the father of Gazez.
47 (Seorang bernama Yohdai mempunyai enam anak laki-laki: Regem, Yotam, Gesan, Pelet, Efa dan Saaf.)
The sons of Jahdai: Regem, and Jotham, and Geshan, and Pelet, and Ephah, and Shaaph.
48 Kaleb mempunyai selir lain bernama Maakha. Dengan dia Kaleb mendapat dua anak laki-laki bernama: Seber dan Tirhana;
Maacah, Caleb's secondary wife, bore Sheber and Tirhanah.
49 kemudian mereka mendapat dua anak laki-laki lagi bernama: Saaf dan Sewa. Saaf adalah pendiri kota Madmana, dan Sewa pendiri kota Makhbena dan Gibea. Kaleb juga mempunyai seorang anak perempuan bernama Akhsa.
