< Juan 5 >

1 Kalpasan daytoy adda fiesta dagiti Judio ken simmang-at ni Jesus iti Jerusalem.
After these things there was the feast of the Jews, so Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
2 Iti Jerusalem, iti ruangan dagiti karnero, adda pagdigosan a maawagan iti Hebreo iti Betesda. Addaan daytoy iti lima a naatepan a portiko.
Now in Jerusalem, by the Sheep Gate, there is a pool called Bethesda, in Hebrew, which has five porches.
3 Adu a bilang dagiti masakit a tattao, bulsek, lugpi ken paralitiko ti nakaidda kadagitoy a portiko.
In them a large number of sick people were lying—blind, lame, paralyzed—waiting for the moving of the water;
4
because an angel would go down from time to time into the pool and stir up the water—then the first one to get in after the stirring of the water became well of whatever disease that was holding him.
5 Adda maysa a lalaki idiay a saan a makagaraw iti tallopulo ket walo a tawen.
Now there was a certain man there who had been sick for 38 years.
6 Idi nakita ni Jesus isuna a nakaidda sadiay, ken kalpasan a naamirisna a nabayagen isuna sadiay, kinunana kenkuana, “kayatmo kadi ti umimbag?”
Seeing this man lying there and knowing that he had already been sick a long time, Jesus says to him, “Do you want to get well?”
7 Simmungbat ti agsaksakit a lalaki, “Apo, awan ti kaduak a mangikarga kaniak iti pagdigosan, no makiburen ti danum, padpadasek pay laeng, addan sabali a bimmaba iti sangoanak.”
The sick man answered Him, “Sir, I have no man to throw me into the pool when the water is stirred up, but while I am coming another gets in before me.”
8 Kinuna ni Jesus kenkuana, “Tumakderka, alaem ti ikamenmo ket magnaka.”
Jesus says to him, “Get up, pick up your pallet and walk!”
9 Dagus nga immimbag ti lalaki. Innalana ti pagiddaanna ket nagna. Ita, dayta nga aldaw ket Aldaw a Panaginana.
Immediately the man became well and picked up his pallet and started to walk!
10 Isu a kinuna dagiti Judio iti tao a naagasan, “Itatta ket Aldaw a Panaginana, saanka a mapalubosan a mangawit iti ikamenmo.”
But that day was a Sabbath, so the Jews said to the one who had been healed: “It's the Sabbath! You aren't allowed to carry the pallet.”
11 Simmungbat ti lalaki, “Ti nangagas kaniak a lalaki iti nangibaga, 'pidutem ti ikamenmo ket magnaka.”'
He answered them: “The one who made me well—He said to me, ‘Pick up your pallet and walk.’”
12 Sinaludsodda kenkuana, “Siasino dayta a tao a nangibaga kenka, 'Pidutem ti pagiddaam ket magnaka?'”
So they asked him, “Who is the man who said to you, ‘Pick up your pallet and walk’?”
13 Nupay kasta, saan nga ammo ti lalaki a naagasan no siasino ti nangpaimbag kenkuana agsipud ta pimmanaw ni Jesus a sililimed, ta adda adu a tattao iti dayta a lugar.
But the man who was cured did not know who it was, because Jesus had disappeared, there being a crowd in the place.
14 Kalpasanna, nasarakan ni Jesus isuna idiay templo ket kinunana kenkuana, “Kitaem, immimbagkan! saanka nga agbasolen amangan no adda ti dakdakes pay a mapasamak kenka.”
After these things Jesus found him in the temple and said to him: “See, you are well. Don't sin any more, so that something worse doesn't happen to you.”
15 Immadayo ti lalaki ket imbagana kadagiti Judio a ni Jesus ti nangpaimbag kenkuana.
The man went off and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had made him well.
16 Gapu kadagitoy, inusig dagiti Judio ni Jesus gapu ta inaramidna dagitoy a banbanag iti Aldaw a Panaginana.
So because of this the Jews began persecuting Jesus and trying to kill Him, because He was doing these things on the Sabbath.
17 Kinuna ni Jesus kadakuada, “Agtrabtrabaho ti Amak uray ita, uray siak agtrabtrabahoak met.
But Jesus answered them, “Until now, my Father works, I also work.”
18 Gapu iti daytoy, ad-adda a pinanggep dagiti Judio a papatayen ni Jesus agsipud ta saanna laeng a binurak ti Aldaw a Panaginana, inawaganna ti Dios nga Amana, inaramidna a kapadpadana ti Dios.
So because of this they wanted to kill Him all the more, because He was not only breaking the Sabbath but was even saying that God was His own Father, making Himself equal with God!
19 Simmungbat ni Jesus kadakuada, “Pudno, pudno, awan ti maaramidan ti Anak babaen kenkuana laeng, malaksid no makitana nga ar-aramiden ti Ama. Ta no ania ti ar-aramiden iti Ama, ar-aramiden met laeng iti Anak dagitoy a banbanag.
Then Jesus answered and said to them: “Most assuredly I say to you, the Son is not able to do anything from Himself, except something He sees the Father doing; because whatever things He does, precisely these the Son also does.
20 Gapu ta ay-ayaten iti Ama ti Anak, ipakpakitana amin nga ar- aramidenna kenkuana ken ipakitana pay dagiti naindaklan a banbanag tapno agsiddaawkayo.”
For the Father loves the Son and shows Him everything that He Himself is doing; and He will show Him greater works than these, so that you may marvel.
21 Ta kas pagung-ungaren ti Ama dagiti natay ken mangmangted iti biag kadakuada, kasta met a, mangmangted met iti biag ti Anak kadagiti siasinoman a tarigagayanna.
Now just as the Father raises the dead and gives life, just so the Son also gives life to whom He wishes.
22 Ta saan a mangukom ti Ama iti siasinoman, ngem intedna ti amin a panangukom iti Anak
In fact the Father does not judge anyone but has committed all the judging to the Son,
23 tapno padayawanda ti Anak a kas panangpadayawda iti Ama. Ti siasinoman a saan a mangpadayaw iti Anak, saanna a padayawan ti Ama a nangibaon kenkuana.
so that all will honor the Son just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.
24 Pudno, Pudno, siasinoman a makangkangngeg iti saok ken mamatpati iti nangibaon kaniak ket maaddaan iti biag nga agnanayon ken saan a mailunod. Ngem ketdi, nalabsanna ti pannakatay iti biag. (aiōnios g166)
“Most assuredly I say to you that the one listening to my word and believing on Him who sent me has eternal life; he will not go into judging but has moved out of the death into the Life. (aiōnios g166)
25 Pudno, pudno, ibagak kadakayo, ti oras ket umadanin ken adda ditoyen. Mangngeg dagiti natay ti timek iti Anak iti Dios, ken agbiag dagiti makangngeg.
“Most assuredly I say to you that a time is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of the God, and those who listen will live.
26 Kas iti Ama nga adda biag kenkuana, ngarud, intedna met ti biag iti Anak tapno maadda ti biag kenkuana.
Because just as the Father has life in Himself, just so He gave to the Son also to have life in Himself;
27 Inted met iti Ama iti Anak ti turay a mangaramid iti panangukom gapu ta isuna ti “Anak iti Tao”.
furthermore He gave Him the authority to pass judgment, because He is Son of Man.
28 Saankayo a masdaaw iti daytoy, ta dumteng ti oras nga amin dagiti adda iti tanem ket mangngegda ti timekna
Do not marvel at this, because a time is coming in which all those in the graves will hear His voice
29 ken rumuarto dagiti nagaramid iti naimbag iti panagungar iti biag ken dagiti nagaramid iti kinadakes iti panagungar iti pannakaukom.
and will come out—those who did good things into the resurrection of life, but those who practiced evil things into the resurrection of condemnation.
30 Awan ti maaramidak manipud iti bagik, apaman a mangngegko, mangukomak, ken nalinteg ti panangukomko gapu ta saanko a birbiruken ti bukodko a pagayatan ngem ti pagayatan iti nangibaon kaniak.
I am not able to do anything from myself. As I hear, I judge, and my judging is just, because I do not seek my own will but the will of the Father who sent me.
31 No agsaksiak maipapan iti bagik, saan a pudno ti pammaneknekko.
“If I testify about myself, my testimony is not valid.
32 Adda iti sabali nga agsaksi maipapan kaniak, ken ammok a pudno ti pammaneknek nga itedna maipapan kaniak.
There is another who testifies about me, and I know that the testimony that He gives about me is true.
33 Imbaonmo kenni Juan ken pinaneknekanna iti kinapudno.
You have sent to John and he has testified to the truth.
34 Nupay kasta, saan a naggapu iti tao ti pammaneknek a naawatko. Ibagak kadakayo dagitoy a banbanag tapno maisalakankayo.
Yet I do not accept the testimony from a man; but I say these things so that you may be saved.
35 Ni Juan ket pagsilawan a sumsumged ken agranraniag, ken immannugotkayo nga agrag-o iti panawen iti lawagna.
That man was a burning, shining lamp, and for a time you were willing to be glad in his light.
36 Ngem ti pammaneknek nga adda kaniak ket dakdakkel ngem ti adda ken ni Juan, gapu ta dagiti trabaho nga inted ti Ama a leppasek, dagiti trabaho nga ar-aramidek ket mangpaneknek maipapan kaniak nga imbaonnak ti Ama.
But I have a greater testimony than John's, because the works that the Father gave me to complete—the very works that I am doing—they testify about me that the Father has sent me.
37 Ti Ama a nangibaon kaniak ket nagsaksi maipapan kaniak. Saanyo a nangngeg ti timekna wenno nakita ti langana iti uray ania nga oras.
“Further, the Father who sent me has Himself testified about me. You have neither heard His voice nor seen His form at any time.
38 Awan ti saona a nagtalinaed kadakayo, ta saankayo a namatpati iti imbaonna.
Nor do you have His word abiding in you, because you do not believe on the very one whom He sent.
39 Sukimatenyo ti Nasantoan a Kasuratan gapu ta panpanunutenyo nga adda kadakuada ti biagyo nga agnanayon ken dagitoy isu met laeng a Nasantoan a Kasuratan ket mangpaneknek ti maipapan kaniak (aiōnios g166)
You examine the Scriptures because in them you think you have eternal life, yet they are the very ones that testify about me. (aiōnios g166)
40 ken saanyo a kayat ti umay kaniak tapno maaddaankayo iti biag.
But you are not willing to come to me so that you may have life.
41 Saanak nga umaw-awat iti pammadayaw manipud kadagiti tattao,
“I do not accept glory from people.
42 ngem ammok nga awan kadakayo ti ayat iti Dios kadagiti bagbagiyo.
Rather I have come to know you, that you do not have the love of God in you.
43 Immayak iti nagan iti Amak ken saandak nga inawat. No sabali ti umay iti bukodna a nagan, awatenyo isuna.
I have come in my Father's name and you do not receive me; should another come in his own name, him you will receive.
44 Kasano a mamatikayo, dakayo nga immawat iti pammadayaw manipud iti sabali ngem saankayo nga nagbirbiruk iti pammadayaw a naggapu iti maymaysa a Dios?
How can you believe, who receive glory from men and do not seek the glory that comes from the only God?
45 Saanyo a panunoten nga idarumkayo iti sangoanan iti Ama. Ti nangidarum kadakayo ket ni Moises a nangikabilanyo iti namnamayo.
“Do not suppose that I will accuse you before the Father. Moses is the one who accuses you, on whom you have set your hope.
46 No mamatpatikayo ken Moises, mamatikayonto met kaniak gapu ta isu ti nangisurat iti maipapan kaniak.
Because if you really believed Moses you would believe me, because he wrote about me.
47 No saankayo a mamati kadagiti insuratna, kasano a patienyo dagiti sasaok?
But since you do not believe his writings, how will you believe my sayings?”
