1 Ammomi a no ti naindagaan a pagtaengan a pagnanaedanmi ket nadadael, adda ti patakdermi manipud iti Dios. Maysa a balay daytoy a saan nga inaramid dagiti ima iti tattao, ngem maysa nga agnanayon a balay idiay langit. (aiōnios g166)
Now then, we know that though our earthly, tent-like ‘house’ may be destroyed, we have a building from God (not a handmade house), eternal in the heavens. (aiōnios g166)
2 Ta iti daytoy a tolda, agunnoykami, kayatmi la unay ti makawesan iti nainlangitan a pagtaenganmi.
Further, in this one we do groan, longing to be clothed with our heavenly habitation;
3 Kayatmi ti maaddaan iti daytoy gapu ta babaen iti panangikawesmi iti daytoy saandakaminton a masarakan a lamolamo.
since, obviously, once clothed we will not be found naked.
4 Ta pudno a kabayatan nga addakami iti daytoy a tolda, agun-unnoykami a madagdagsenan. Saanmi kayat ti maussuban. Ngem ketdi, kayatmi ti makawesan, tapno ti matay ket mabalin a tilmunen iti biag.
Yes, being in this ‘tent’ is a burden, so we groan—not enough to want to strip, but to be really clothed; that what is mortal may be swallowed up by the Life.
5 Ti nangisagana kadakami para iti daytoy a banag ket ti Dios, a nangted kadakami ti Espiritu a kas kari ti dumtengto.
Now it is God who has prepared us for this very purpose, who also has given us the down payment of the Spirit.
6 Ngarud kankanayonkami a natalged. Ammomi a kabayatan nga agnanaedkami iti daytoy a bagi, adayokami iti Apo.
So we are always confident, even knowing that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord's home
7 Ta magmagnakami babaen iti pammati, saan a babaen iti panagkita.
—we walk by faith, not by sight—
8 Isu nga addaankami iti kinatalged. Kaykayatmi pay nga adayokami iti bagi ken adda iti denna ti Apo.
indeed, we are confident in preferring to be away from the body and at home with the Lord.
9 Isu nga ikagumaanmi, addakami man iti pagtaenganmi wenno iti adayo, nga ay-ayoen isuna.
Yes, that is why we make it our aim (whether at home or away from it) to be well pleasing to Him.
10 Ta masapul a dumatagtayo amin iti sango iti tugaw iti pangukoman ni Cristo, tapno maawat iti tunggal maysa ti maikari para kadagiti banbanag nga inaramidna iti bagi, para iti pagsayaatan man wenno pagdaksan.
Because we must all be exposed before Christ's Judgment Seat, that each one may receive his due for the things he did while in the body, whether good or bad.
11 Ngarud, gapu ta ammomi ti panagbuteng iti Apo, allukoyenmi dagiti tattao. Ti kinasiasinomi ket nalawag a makita ti Dios. Namnamaek a nalawag met daytoy kadagiti konsiensiayo.
Therefore, since we know the Lord's intimidation, we try to convince people. We are well known to God, and I hope in your consciences as well.
12 Saandakayo manen nga al-allukoyen tapno kitaendakami a kas napudno. Ngem ketdi, ik-ikkandakayo iti rason a mangipannakkel kadakami, tapno adda maisungbatyo kadagidiay nga agpaspasindayaw iti maipapan iti langa ngem saan a no ania ti adda iti puso.
We are not commending ourselves to you again, but are giving you an opportunity of boasting on our behalf, that you may have an answer for those who boast in appearance and not in heart.
13 Ta no awan kami iti nasayaat a panunot, daytoy ket maipaay ti Dios. Ket no adda kami iti nasimbeng a panunot, daytoy ket maipaay iti pagimbaganyo.
If we are ‘out of our senses’, it is for God; if we are of sound mind, it is for you.
14 Ta ti ayat ni Cristo ti mangparparegta kadakami, agsipud ta awan duaduami iti daytoy: nga adda maysa a tao a natay maipaay iti amin, ket isu ngarud a natay ti amin.
For Christ's love impels us, having concluded this: if One died for all it follows that all died;
15 Ken natay ni Cristo para iti amin, tapno dagiti agbibiag ket saandan nga agbiag para kadagiti bagbagida. Ngem ketdi agbiagda koma para kenkuana a natay ken napagungar.
and He died for all so that those who now live should no longer live for themselves but for the One who died for all and was raised again.
16 Gapu iti daytoy, manipud ita, saankamin a mangukom iti siasinoman segun iti pangrukudan iti tao, uray no inaramidmi idi daytoy a wagas kenni Cristo. Ngem ita saanmin nga uk-ukomen ti siasinoman iti kastoy a wagas.
So then, from now on we regard no one from a fleshly perspective—even if we have ‘known’ Christ in this way, we do so no longer—
17 Ngarud, no adda ti siasinoman kenni Cristo, isuna ket maysa a baro a parsua. Napukawen dagiti daan a banbanag. Kitaenyo, nagbalindan a baro.
so then, if anyone is in Christ he is a new creation; the old things have passed on; look, all has become new!
18 Naggapu amin dagitoy a banbanag iti Dios. Inkappianatayo kenkuana babaen kenni Cristo, ken intedna kadatayo ti ministerio a panangikapia.
And that ‘all’ is from the God who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ and given us the ministry of the reconciliation,
19 Dayta ket, babaen kenni Cristo, ituntunos ti Dios ti lubong kenkuana, saanna a bilbilangen dagiti panaglablabsingda a maibusor kadakuada. Italtalekna kadatayo ti mensahe iti panangikapia.
namely that in Christ God was reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, including committing to us the message of this reconciliation.
20 Isu a nadutokankami a kas mangibagbagi ni Cristo, a kasla agpakpakaasi ti Dios babaen kadakami. Agpakaasi kami kadakayo, maipaay kenni Cristo: “Makikapiakayo iti Dios.”
So then, we are Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God!
21 Pinagbalinna ni Cristo a daton para iti basoltayo. Isuna ti saan a pulos a nagbasol. Inaramidna daytoy tapno agbalintayo a kinalinteg iti Dios kenkuana.
Because He made the One who did not know sin to be sin on our behalf, so that in Him we might become God's righteousness.
