1 Onye a na-abara mba mgbe niile ma ọ naghị anata ndụmọdụ, nʼotu ntabi anya ka a ga-etipịa ya, ọ gaghị ekulikwa ọzọ.
A man that hardeneth his necke when he is rebuked, shall suddenly be destroyed and can not be cured.
2 Mgbe ndị ezi omume nọ nʼọchịchị, ndị a na-achị na-aṅụrị ọṅụ, ma ha na-asụ ude mgbe onye ajọ omume na-achị.
When the righteous are in authoritie, the people reioyce: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people sigh.
3 Nwoke hụrụ amamihe nʼanya na-eme ka nna ṅụrịa, ma onye bụ enyi ụmụ nwanyị akwụna, na-ala akụnụba ya nʼiyi.
A man that loueth wisdome, reioyceth his father: but he that feedeth harlots, wasteth his substance.
4 Eze na-achị nʼeziokwu na-ewetara obodo ya ọganihu, ma nke na-achọ ngarị na-ala ya nʼiyi.
A King by iudgement mainteineth ye countrey: but a man receiuing giftes, destroyeth it.
5 Onye ahụ ji ire ụtọ na-aja onye agbataobi ya mma bụ ọnya ka ọ na-esiri ya.
A man that flattereth his neighbour, spreadeth a net for his steps.
In the transgression of an euill man is his snare: but the righteous doeth sing and reioyce.
7 Onye ezi omume na-etinye anya nʼihe banyere ikpe ziri ezi nke ndị ogbenye, ma ụdị echiche ahụ adịghị abata ndị ajọ omume nʼobi.
The righteous knoweth the cause of the poore: but the wicked regardeth not knowledge.
8 Ndị nzuzu na-amalite ọgụ ebe niile, ma ndị nwere uche na-agbalịsị ike ime ka udo dị.
Scornefull men bring a citie into a snare: but wise men turne away wrath.
9 Ọ bụrụ na onye maara ihe esoro onye nzuzu gaa nʼụlọikpe, onye nzuzu ga-ewe iwe ọkụ, mee mkpọtụ, kwaa emo ma udo agaghị adị.
If a wise man contend with a foolish man, whether he be angry or laugh, there is no rest.
Bloodie men hate him that is vpright: but the iust haue care of his soule.
11 Onye nzuzu na-egosi oke iwe ya, ma onye nwere uche na-ejide onwe ya na-emekwa ka mmụọ ya dajụọ.
A foole powreth out all his minde: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterward.
12 Ọ bụrụ na onye na-achị achị aṅaa ntị nʼokwu ụgha, ndị niile na-ejere ya ozi ga-aghọ ndị ajọ omume.
Of a prince that hearkeneth to lyes, all his seruants are wicked.
The poore and the vsurer meete together, and the Lord lighteneth both their eyes.
14 Ọ bụrụ na eze esite nʼizi ezi kpee ndị ogbenye ikpe, a ga-eme ka ocheeze ya guzosie ike ruo mgbe ebighị ebi.
A King that iudgeth the poore in trueth, his throne shalbe established for euer.
15 Ịba mba na iti nwantakịrị ihe na-enye aka mee ka ọ bụrụ ezi nwa, ma nwantakịrị a na-adịghị adụ ọdụ na-eme nne ya ihe ihere.
The rodde and correction giue wisdome: but a childe set a libertie, maketh his mother ashamed.
16 Mgbe ndị na-emebi iwu na-aga nʼihu, njehie na-aba ụba nʼetiti ndị a na-achị achị, ma ndị ezi omume ga-eguzo hụ ọdịda ha.
When the wicked are increased, transgression increaseth: but ye righteous shall see their fall.
17 Dọọ nwa gị aka na ntị, ndụ ya ga-enye obi gị udo na ọṅụ. Ọ gaghị emekwa ka ihere mee gị.
Correct thy sonne and he will giue thee rest, and will giue pleasures to thy soule.
18 Obodo na-adịghị atụ egwu Chineke bụ obodo na-adịghị agazi nʼusoro, ma ọṅụ na-adịrị obodo ahụ na-edebe ihe Onyenwe anyị nyere nʼiwu.
Where there is no vision, the people decay: but he that keepeth the Lawe, is blessed.
19 Ọ bụghị naanị okwu ọnụ ka e ji adọ ndị na-eje ozi aka na ntị, nʼihi na ha nwere ike ghọta ma ha ga-ajụ ime ihe ị chọrọ.
A seruant will not be chastised with words: though he vnderstand, yet he will not answere.
20 Olileanya dịrị onye nzuzu karịa onye ahụ na-adịghị echezi echiche tupu o kwuo okwu.
Seest thou a man hastie in his matters? there is more hope of a foole, then of him.
21 Ị malite na mbụ na-emezi onye na-ejere gị ozi, ọ ga-emesịa chọọ ka i meere ya dịka nwa gị.
He that delicately bringeth vp his seruant from youth, at length he will be euen as his sone.
22 Onye na-ewe iwe na-akpali ọgụ, onye na-ewe iwe ọkụ na-eme ọtụtụ mmehie.
An angrie man stirreth vp strife, and a furious man aboundeth in transgression.
23 Nganga mmadụ na-eme ka ọ daa, ma mmadụ ahụ dị umeala nʼobi ga-eweta nsọpụrụ.
The pride of a man shall bring him lowe: but the humble in spirit shall enioy glory.
He that is partner with a thiefe, hateth his owne soule: he heareth cursing, and declareth it not.
25 Ịtụ egwu mmadụ bụ ihe ịma nʼọnya, ma onye ọbụla na-atụkwasị Onyenwe anyị obi na-anọ nʼudo.
The feare of man bringeth a snare: but he that trusteth in the Lord, shalbe exalted.
Many doe seeke the face of the ruler: but euery mans iudgement commeth from the Lord.
27 Onye ezi omume na-akpọ ajọ omume asị; ndị na-emebi iwu na-akpọ onye ndụ ya ziri ezi asị.
A wicked man is abomination to the iust, and he that is vpright in his way, is abomination to the wicked.
